I went to Mimi's at 4:30 is on a Thursday evening. Salon was busy but not slammed. Henry did my pedicure. Thank you Henry for not being in a hurry and being very attentive to my wishes. Love my pedi and your foot/leg massage. I know some clients like the nails and pedi done at the same time but truly if I am not in a hurry I prefer separate and that was what I got. In Sept 2019 my husband had a pedicure at MiMi's that turned into what was diagnosed as a fungal infection. He sought medical treatment once he realized the problem. After a culture the doctor discovered it wasn't fungal, it was MRSA. He has been on countless antibiotics. Now 3 years later he is still fighting MRSA and going to wound care to try to save his toes. They have had to remove bone in 3 of them, he lost the top half of one toe and may lose part of two other toes. The treatment is excruciating. So NO, I would not recommend this place! I gave this 1 star, only because I had to in order for this to post. read more

I went to get my nails done and a pedicure done, manicure came out amazing no problems only one cut but that's because I moved. However, the pedicure left me with an infection on my toe where she had cut the nail at. It's a nasty infection and don't recommend the pedicures but do recommend the nails as they came out very lovely. Love coming to this place! They are always friendly and do great work! I have come here several times and only been unsatisfied once. When I brought the issue to their attention it was fixed immediately. No attitude or rudeness at all. When I got my nails done somewhere else and came here to get them fixed, they didn't charge a fee for takeoff. In fact, I've never been charges a take off fee like at other places. This place is very cheap, but you get what you pay for. At first I thought I was being too hard on this place, bc I normally go to Bay Colony to get my nails done. But by the time this experience was over I knew I need to just pay the extra money for better service.. First thing I noticed was the buffer and files were used. So I thought well maybe they soak them in barbicide or something after each use. They don't. The lady put them right back in her box when she was done. The lady was really rough, she would slap the foot rest when she needed me to change feet. She got irritated when I didn't understand her. She didn't act like she even wanted to be there. I mean no one likes work, but when you work for tips you should be nicer. She asked if I wanted designs and I said no, bc the designs looked like my 10 year old drew them. They were horrible. I should have stopped at the toes, but I got my nails done as well. She cut me twice. She rubbed the blood off and then poured alcohol on my finger. It was very painful! She painted my nails very quickly and I had to ask her to redo a nail because some spots barely had any polish on. She snatched my hand up and added more polish. While I was sitting there I was looking around and the place looks like it has NEVER been cleaned. One of the girls who had no customers walked over to an empty chair and took a nap!! I was like is this really happening?! The final straw was when I got home I was scratching my leg and my finger felt funny so I looked and my nail polish peeled back! It looked like it was a STICKER! I had to put top coat under my nail polish to try to make it stick to my nail. Also my nails are already chipped and worn down. I haven't even had my nails done for 24 hours yet. One girl put my acrylic on so thick it looked like a bird sh** on my finger !! After I spoke up and told them let me leave the bigger lady kept grabbing me and said "no I do for you" I said I just want to go. Then she made the nails so long and so thin they broke the next day. The issue here is technique and listening and they have neither !!! Look at the cuts on my cuticle. It was like that on 4 fingers and severe pain. My sister and I went for a pedicure and had the worst experience possible. The person giving me a pedicure did not know what she was doing, I had to tell her what to do. After taking over a hour for a basic pedicure, the owner pushed her away and finished it. The owner of the salon gave my sister a pedicure and insulted her in front of everyone there. She thought she was being funny but embarrassed us in front of everyone in the salon. I will never return to that salon again, terrible service read more
