Beautiful cafe in Berkeley. Spacious, bright and welcoming environment with a unique selection of yummy drinks and delicious savory and sweet treats. I tried Adeni Chai and Dubai cheesecake. Both were tasty and not overly sweet. Lady at counter was friendly and accommodating. Will be back when visiting Berkeley again.

Beautiful cafe! Power outlets throughout the cafe. Delicious food and drinks. All drinks can be decaf! The barista was very nice. They changed shifts at 7? The guy working was super nice on a Sunday evening. Perfect place to study or get some work done. The best part is they open late until 10 or midnight sometimes.

Aesthetically this place is beautiful. Gorgeous place to study or get some work done. It was quite dirty with a lot of flies swarming around which is why I had to dock some stars. But given only one employee present I can see how it would be tough to maintain cleanliness. The bathroom was horrid. The pistachio latte was very good. Would give it a 8/10 for sure. If sweet drinks are your thing you will enjoy it. As for the honeycomb / pastry It wasn't for me. But to each their own.

Ok wow that might have been the best baklava I've ever had (it was twice as big, photo taken post-bite), so fkin juicy!!!! But not soggy, so crisp. Pistachio latte was chill, didn't taste so different from a regular latte which was disappointing after trying the baklava. Ambiance was super nice.

I came by to try them on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the rose latte, iced, 16oz, and pistachio latte, iced, 16oz. It was $7.75 for each of these drinks, no price difference for hot vs. iced. The cafe is pretty large inside with beautiful gold accents and a variety of seating options. It took over 10 mins for drinks, this might've been due to both some people having ordered ahead of me and also could possibly indicate the process of making the drinks took some time. I found the rose flavor comes through better and it gave the rose latte a really nice floral tint. But for the pistachio latte, I couldn't really taste the latte over the coffee, as someone who's very sensitive to the taste of coffee, so I preferred the rose latte over the pistachio.

The best kept secret ! Great drinks, cozy vibes , and all around the perfect spot to grab a book or knock out that WFH todo-list

What is going on with this explosion of Yemeni cafes in the bay? I mean I won't complain - I love milk cakes, large pots of caffeine, and non alcoholic spots open late-ish. If you've been to another Yemeni cafe, Milyar is pretty similar, but the decor/color scheme feels more fancy, and the space is huge. It does feel a bit cold and less cozy than other Yemeni cafes, but maybe that was just because it was pretty empty when I visited a year ago? Or maybe that's just how I was feeling.

This place was pretty cute! I got the saffron iced latte and it was alright. I'm sure other things on the menu taste better, but that drink really wasn't it. They do get high stars for the ambiance. The place is decorated beautifully. Very comfy seating. Outlets everywhere. Was a good place to study.

We made a reservation for a party of two on a Sunday at 3:15pm to celebrate my birthday! It's $70 per person and we paid a deposit when booking. There is a pre-set tea menu with savory and sweet snacks and your selection of one beverage; tea, lemonade, iced tea. Mimosa and champagne is also available for an extra charge. They do ask if you have any food allergies or restrictions. Ugh, everything was soooo cute!!! The servers were also very sweet and friendly. The beverage selection was a bit overwhelming for me and I didn't know what to choose! One of the servers recommended us the mango iced tea, which was actually really good! However, I wish I would've gotten a hot tea, so I could use the cute tea pot, cups, and the hello kitty shaped sugar cube lol. I didn't think the snacks would be enough to fill us up, but we ended up having to pack leftovers! We really enjoyed the savory items; my favorite was the cucumber sandwiches and the egg salad cone! Out of the sweet items, I enjoyed the strawberry tart and strawberries and chocolate whipped cream parfait; which weren't so sweet! I'd definitely like to come back and order a hot tea next time so I could use the tea set hehe. This really fulfilled my inner child!

Whenever the Hello Kitty trucks come to a more local area, I have been unable to go. I love all of the decoration that is everywhere in the cafe. I also enjoyed that they offered many different treats and drink options. It was really hard for me not to buy everything! This is also located inside of the mall, so it is nice to be able to walk around. This is slightly far away from where I reside but I would love to come back and see what new and different treats they have to offer! I would also love to visit the Bow Room! Last time, we were unable to but it would be a really nice experience!

Parking nearby is horrendous, super busy even on the weekdays before the rush hour so I can't imagine weekends when people are out or other high traffic times. Get ready to make some rounds and pay for parking and be careful since there's very specific signage and times. The cafe itself is cute and cozy. Front area is a gift shop with lots of cat themed gifts and goodies like keychains, stickers, and such, and also some items from local and small artists too, which is neat. The cafe also has community events like movie showings ("The Cat Returns" was one of them which is a great choice) and cat yoga. If you're local, you can also get a time stamp if you are a frequent visitor. Definitely follow their socials for more information. There's reservations online and you can also do walk ins if it's not super busy. You can book for a 55 minute visit or a 30 minute visit. PRO-TIP: There's a discount for students, so if you want to be surrounded by some feline friends while you study or relax, great place to do so. You can hang your coat on the rack and there's a mini shelf area for your shoes. So you gotta walk in with socks! With each visit you can either get a hot cup of tea or a cold can or box drink from their fridge (sparking water, juices, etc.). Very refreshing and you can enjoy it in the cat area too. Sanitize your hands before and after visiting. There's lots of cats hiding around, sleeping, walking around, and some are super friendly and will go into your lap. There's toys you can play with the cats with and there's a wall of adoptable cats. Lots of seats or you can opt to sit on the floor with the cats too. There's relaxing lo-fi music throughout too. Pretty cool that they rescued 2 cats from Qatar and neat that we got to see them. As with all cats, some can be a bit spicy but it's usually just a warning teeth rub. I own cats so there's nothing new. I'm horribly allergic to the cat that specifically lives in my house, but I didn't get an allergy here, meaning that the cats are clean and well taken for. My favorite was a large sleepy orange boy, Ron (permanent non-adoptable resident) that was hanging out next to me the entire time.

We took off our socks and found a table to sit at. Some of the cats came up to greet us when we were sitting. There are also toys available for you to use to play with them. Many of the cats were napping or lounging around but don't mind if you come up to sit next to them and give them pets. There were all types of cats and some of them are actually available for adoption if you happen to fall in love with one!
