Came in for lunch yesterday and had a truly "meh" experience. I've been here before and it's always been a good experience, but it's been 10 years and yesterday was disappointing. I ordered the two hot dogs special- two hot dogs any way you want them, fries, fountain drink. At $7.99 that's a bargain and great deal. The fries were not cooked enough for me, I didn't even finish them. The hot dogs were good, not great. My husband got a chicken finger sub combo. You can make any sandwich or sub a combo with fries and a drink for $2.99. His sub was good, it was falling apart though and his fries were also under done. The real issue I had was the dining experience. The tables were all dirty in the dining room, everything was sticky like a small child with jam hands. And the biggest problem, the heat. It was a 90+ heat index yesterday and there was no AC on in this place, or if there was, it was not sufficient. I looked around at everyone else red faced and sweating and sat there so hot I could barely eat. My ice in my drink melted completely in five minutes. It was horrible. Richard Pryor owns this place, which was originally named "Brewster's Miltons." It serves up typical greasy American diner and fast food fare, plus excellent souvlakis. They are excellent largely because this restaurant is also owned by the fancier, classier, 24 hour version of itself just next door, Alton's. They're not exactly the same restaurant with different atmospheres, prices, somewhat different menus, and yet are extensions of each other. It has a lot of personal memories to me too, since I first came here nearly 15 years ago when I first visited the region, and my best friend in the area's father used to work here, so it's a sentimental place for her, as he has now passed away. The star of the show here is the Souvlaki, so make sure you grab one and see what you think. For some reason I always like the Alton's version better but Milton's is a local standard and wonderful, infinitely better than any fast food or anything horrendous like that. read more

My last review was in 2014, so the prices have changed since then. They no longer have the 2 hot dog, fries, and pop for $4.99. It's now $6.99, and it is only valid after 2pm. This time we got ham sub, onion rings, fries, chicken finger kids meal, and a "buffalo grilled cheese" special.... which was chicken fingers, blue cheese and hot sauce. This sandwich was kinda small but got a thumbs up. We got cheese on the side for the fries . Everything was very good. We spent $35 for a family of 4 . On the way out, we got 2 milkshakes, which were around $3.50 each. I would recommend. Good food, reasonable prices. read more

My husband and I stopped here for lunch yesterday and I got really confused after looking at long list of menu. At first I ordered philli chicken pita wrap for myself .. then changed it to mediterranean chicken.. I changed it to buffalo chicken after that and finally ended up ordering chicken souvlaki pita wrap (The girl at the counter gave me a weird expression because of how confused I was). My husband ordered philly chicken pita wrap for himself (he is not confused as I am :D ). The souvlaki wrap was really great. I loved it right from the first bite itself. Philly chicken wrap was good too but not as good as souvlaki wrap. I must say milton offers delicious food with great price. I wonder how come I never visited this place even though I stay so close. Had lunch there for my first time today. Ordered a gyro wrap with fries and it was delicious. Quick and easy, nice relaxing setting for what I assume to be a fast food restaurant, they bring your food out to you. They have oil on the table ready for whenever you need it. Today was my first time at Milton's and I thought it was really good! I ordered the chicken souvlaki wrap and fries with a side of Texas sauce to dip the fries in. I have never had dill sauce on a souvlaki wrap from anywhere, I usually put Greek dressing on mine but after seeing the reviews I decided to go for the dill sauce. It was great! The chicken in the wrap was marinated and cooked perfectly so it wasn't overly chewy or dry. The fries were decent and the Texas sauce was okay, I've had better but it wasn't terrible. The service was also good, our cashier was friendly and the food came out quickly. I liked that you get your own drinks so you never have to wait for a refill. The menu has something for everyone, and the place was clean. I will be back someday! read more

Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon, not sure what to expect. It reminds me of a Subway for Greek food and other charred items from the grill. They have a good menu selection with some daily specials written on a board. We grabbed a seat in the big dining room. There is also an outdoor patio but it was too windy this day. Although there is a sign to pick up orders ours was brought to our table, I thought that was nice but it was not crowded so I don't know if that is normal. For the price I got a nice size salad topped with a nice portion of chicken all the fixings and a half pita. I was surprised it came out so quick, then I understood why. The salad was little wilty standard mix from a bag and the chicken cold. I was hungry so I didn't complain, it tasted good because the oil dressing and the dill sauce made it flavorful. My friend ordered fries it was a good size portion, I ended u eating half of those and gave him my pita! Milton's had recently undergone some (much-needed!) remodeling and it has given them a nice new facelift. Milton's is set up very similar to that of a Ted's Hotdog in which you order in a cafeteria manner. They grill and assemble right in front of you as well. What I like about Milton's as opposed to Ted's is the extended variety of meal options. Aside from the char-broiled hot dogs, they also have souvlaki's, gyros, chicken sandwiches, burgers, and often 4 different daily specials (like a cajun chicken wrap, roast beef sandwich, etc). The prices are great too - my souvlaki was huge and came with a bag of fries that could be the equivalent to a large fry (I can hear the treadmill calling me) at a fast-food joint - All of this for $6.99. I've been going to Milton's for years. I don't know how they do it, but every single chicken souvlaki wrap that I've ordered has tasted exactly the same - delicious. The consistency of product in tandem with the fast, friendly service is enough to keep me coming back. Food arrives quickly, prices are low. It's the perfect place to order lunch if you work in the area, and it's a great stop for a quick dinner when running errands. The fries and shakes are also solid choices. Even though the chicken souvlaki wrap is my go-to choice, the beef gyro is also good. The tomato bacon soup that I ordered on my most recent visit wasn't great. We are huge fans of Miltons, esp. when we want something different from the usual fast food options of burgers, subs, pizza or tacos. I have to tell you that it's ALL about their pita wraps - I honestly can't attest to their other food, since I never order it. Well, my husband does get their shit canoes (you Buffalonians will know what that is) and he says they're awesome. I don't eat that crap, so I'll have to take his word for it! The wrap is NOT your normal boring wrap - it's not a thin tortilla-type/burrito-style wrap. It's a thick greek pita, warm & soft - YUM! My go-to is the Philly chicken wrap. I've also had the Buffalo Chicken & the Greek. All good, but I always come back to the Philly. Their fries & onion rings are really good too - not too crunchy & not too soft or mushy. I do have problems with takeout on occasion - they have forgotten to put one of my items in the bag (I always check before I leave) and despite their website insisting they welcome fax orders, I have yet to have one go through successfully! Great place to stop for a quick lunch (if you are not looking to stop at a fast food place. Today I ordered a Philly Beef Pita Wrap, French Fries, and a Large Drink all for $9.50. The Philly Beef Pita Wrap is in my personal opinion the best item on the menu, it includes, Beef, Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms, and a Special Sauce, so yummy. (Tip: this Wrap is messy and I suggest using the plastic fork and knife that they give you to eat it, rather than using you hands). When you opt to make it a combo with French Fries, you get a boat load of fresh Fries, some with the skin still on them. read more

Milton's was one of my first regular places and I have memories of coming here with my mom while I apartment hunted more than a few years ago. It is also a great choice for my family when they are driving through and we need somewhere quick and tasty to eat. I go for the wraps, specifically the chicken souvlaki. For $5, it is a great value. Good amount of flavorful chicken, lettuce, fresh tomato, red onion, feta, and creamy dill sauce on a thick and warm pita. If you are getting it to go, make sure you get a little cup of the greek oil dressing (the last few times they forgot, they may only give it now if you ask). My mom is a vegetarian and likes the basic garden one. My dad sometimes mixes it up and goes for the Philly beef and says it is very tasty. I have gotten the open souvlaki salads and they are good, but for the value, I prefer the wraps. They now have sweet potato fries! I got them with my wrap combo (can get fries, salad, or soup). Nice generously sized portion that were fresh out of the frier. They also do charbroil hot dogs, burgers, salads, roast beef, chicken sandwiches, and subs. Pretty much anyone can find something they like on the menu. The desserts are good too. I have gotten the homemade rice pudding many times and it is delicious. They do cones and milk shakes too. The new remodel looks very good. I have found it clean and all the staff friendly. We were there at closing earlier this year and they came over as they were cleaning up to see if my dad wanted any more coffee from the self-serve area before they took it away. He appreciated that. Milton's is a great place to grab lunch. There have a good variety of items on their menu which is great when I come with work colleagues that have very different tastes. It's a combination of Greek diner favorites and the American food that you usually find at a place like Ted's. Service is fairly quick. You take a stand with your number on it back to a table and they bring the food to you. Takeout is also available. When I called Milton's my called was ignored at first and then we were told that they'd give us a free wrap on a future visit, what good is that going to do me now? After frequenting Milton's for years, I have received my first take out order. Everything was hot and delicious. I'm​ not sure how to describe how much we really enjoy the pita wraps we've have never gotten a bad one. The vegetables are always fresh and crisp while the meat is hot and juicy, but not soggy. We also got onion rings that appear to be fresh not frozen and they are made with whole onions not bits and pieces. read more

tried this place while running errands, but only because the line at Alton's was far too long. thoroughly NOT impressed with this very dated, very filthy restaurant. i commend them for trying to compete with the very popular Ted's charbroil concept that is so popular here in buffalo, but they seriously need an overhaul. the roast beef sandwich on weck was satisfactory, but can't hold a candle to Charlie the Butcher's. the french fries were vile. extremely undercooked, very bland. didn't even end up eating them. would have gone to complain, but really, the staff didn't look as though they could offer a more appetizing option. the place is really gross inside, and definitely shows its age. the wall paper looks as though it was hung in the 70s, though the place has only been open since the 90s. the rugs are filthy, the decor is tacky, and the interior is very dark and dingy. won't be trying this place again, even for a quick bite. read more
