Have been excited to try this place for the longest time and finally got the opportunity to try it a couple of weeks ago with some friends. We made a reservation for 5pm on a Saturday since there were no other spots open in the evening until 8. When we walked in, there were plenty of tables. I really liked the decor, clean with really good vibes. Our waitress was amazing and the food was delicious. We ordered a couple different sopas, the bison picadillo and grilled shrimp, and they were both really nice and tasty. We also ordered the pimento pierogis and they were my favorite! I ordered the beef tenderloin and it was so decadent and really tender and the plating was fire. I also got the fried pie that had goat cheese in it and I was so impressed. It was crunchy, not overly sweet with a little tang. Will definitely come back and possibly order the exact same menu. Left with a very happy belly but didn't feel too stuffed. Brand new to Oklahoma City, is the lovely Milo restaurant, inside the Ellison Hotel, which will open in December 2021 near 63rd and Western, across the street from Chesapeake Energy. It has only been open a few days, but our waitress could not have been better. She was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! The ambience is very nice with lots of huge windows. Milo uses Oklahoma ingredients in great combinations and creativity. A true Oklahoman himself, Chef Valentine is a great asset to this new Oklahoma City gem! read more

Went for lunch on a Sunday. Dining room closed at 2 until 5 so we ate off the bar menu. Very impressed with quality of food and service. Quiet, so my wife and I had a nice conversation. Within my 20 days stay at the Ellison, I ate breakfast at Milo 18 times and visited the bar for drinks on two evenings. No complaints. From the first day, I was there, the restaurant was filled with locals from morning to night, not just hotel guest. This was a big indication that this place is quality. Every meal was on point; My favorites #1: Eggs benedict sauce melts in your mouth and is bursting with flavor, #2 Farmer's Frittata served w tasty sauce and lettuce, #3 Seasonal Fruit bowl with honey, granola and whipped yogurt #4 The breakfast tacos...I tried multiple breakfast options, these ones really made an impression! The vegan options are AMAZING! The service here went above and beyond. SARAH and OLIVIA are two of the hardest working servers I have ever met. They work hard with a smile and offer kind service.  If you get one of them then your time will be golden. They make you feel like family and want to provide you with the best experience. The hostess SPECIAL greeted me every morning with a smile and coffee. DYLAN made some ridiculously tasty Woodford Old Fashions......probably the best Old Fashions I had while in OKC. The place is a gem hidden by the hotel and surrounded by businesses but this undercover spot is likely to knock your socks off! Can't wait to return. read more

This will be a very mixed review- FYI Cons: Sent back the okie Benedict because no joke it smelled and tasted like baby poo. I spit the food out on my plate I could not handle the taste. Manger stopped by and started making excuses that it was the steak marinate and I simply put if that is your marinate then you need to throw everything away that has touched it because it will cause someone to get sick. Lost my appetite so did not order another meal after that very unsympathetic excuse NOT apology. Pro: everything else was good. Ordered pimento cheese tots, breakfast tacos and regular Benedict. High quality food and good portions. Will I be back? Probably not just because for bunch items it was a little pricey and not naturally management handled the situation with food as blame others and excuses vs taking ownership and apologies. read more

Milo missed the "Mark" to be my 5-star experience. The place lies directly with in The Ellison Hotel as part of the Marriott Bonvoy Collection. Milo's is a minimal and "to the point" place with a nice sleek menu with a few items. The place had a fun appeal, but as you sat to look around the place was boring and lacking luster. Multiple people suggested that Milo's was remarkable which exaggerated my anticipation. The Bison tartar was to die for in flavor and taste, but the presentation of that dish looked like you were getting a frozen patty from Costco. My dish was delicious as well, but also missed the mark on presentation. A place like this and the raves I heard I would have expected their food to have an artistic appeal. The waiter was nice but seemed a bit lost with server explanations about staffing, knowledge, and questions about the menu. She could have been new, but a place like this deserves a little more attention. I thought the food prices were on point, but the wine prices for the bottles were very inflated. The next day I compared a couple of prices next door at Wholefoods which normally has a higher price as well, and the prices were about half to three times the amount at Milo's. Now, if you have made it this far down my review the place was all and all great with wonderful experience. I would eat there again and would recommend to anyone looking for a lunch break before shopping at wholefoods. Thanks, Milo, for the experience. read more

Their social media displays very visually appealing breakfast dishes, but upon two separate visits for brunch, I was only offered soggy buffet items and ZERO service. I never even got a water to drink either time I visited. The eggs are watery, the fruit was wilted, the potatoes are soggy, and the meat is chewy. There's literally nothing left to share about this establishment because there was nothing offered despite having three wait staff and only 3 tables the first trip & 4 the 2nd trip. Food and beverages are good. Manager acted weird when I asked to sit on patio then reluctantly asked the bartender if he wanted to take us outside in front of us.. I know the world is coming to an end but basic customer service should still be a thing. We left and took our business elsewhere. We had a reservation for brunch on a Saturday. We were seated quickly, but waited for a while for a server to bring us water and ask for our drink order. She made it seem like the bartender is normally the one to get drink orders, ur was very busy and didn't see us sitting at our table so far away from the bar. She went ahead and took our food order as well. Food and drinks arrived quickly but she apologized for the wait on the drinks due to how busy the bartender is. Food was delicious. Once we finished eating, we sat for a solid 20 minutes waiting for the check. I was ready to find a different waiter or the hostess so we could pay and leave. There were only 4 occupied tables and multiple waiters, so I'm not sure where the disconnect was. Likely, we won't be back. read more

Told the host what I was looking for and was offered service in the lobby as he didn't want to ask for the purses moved. Told him I wanted to watch the game and he said sorry we can't help you. We came here for an early Saturday brunch. Overall, the food was good and the portions were adequate. One of the dishes we had was the vegan chorizo tacos. Unfortunately, it missed the mark as the vegan option only had black beans, store-bought vegan beef crumbles (likely the Beyond Beef brand) with a little cup of salsa. It was plain and something you could have at home for a few bucks. The carrot appetizer was tasty though and the beet salad was large. The service was dreadful at the beginning though. We were seated next to a couple who had been there before us and it was at least 15 minutes before we had a server come by to even fill up our water glasses. The server ignored the couple next to us so we ended up sharing our water with them. A sales manager said they were understaffed that day, but they were only eight tables with people in it and they weren't busy with new arrivals. We may go back, but the service -- or lack of -- was some of the worst I've ever experienced. This was very odd considering this restaurant is in a hotel which is clearly a high-end good service type of establishment. read more

Laid back, cool, cool, cool atmosphere to enjoy excellent meals. I do not think there is a thing on the menu that wouldn't be exciting to eat. The chef is a wizard, transforming an array of ingredients into otherworldly meals. Sometimes it looks like a building material and then you bite into it and it's moist and delicious. Omg the heirloom tomato tart is amazing. And the sorghum butter! The breakfasts can be tailored to your taste-- I can't wait for tomorrow morning! We visited Milo for ladies' night last night and had a nice time but the restaurant certainly has room for improvement. In fairness, I believe it has only been open a few days. The ambiance is nice - small and clean with lots of floor-to-ceiling windows. The service was friendly and professional. The menu was very limited. There were only 5-6 entrees, all quite expensive ($25ish and up). We were served a complimentary piece of bread and it was tasty. The pimento ball appetizer that our group shared was tasteless and mostly breading. I wouldn't recommend it. For my entree, I ordered the roasted chicken. It was not a large plate and arrived with a small amount of sweet potato purée and fried spinach. The chicken was a tad dry and nothing to. The sweet potato purée and spinach were just that. Everyone's portions were relatively small and I did not leave full. The food was certainly not commensurate with the prices. At this point, unfortunately, I will not return and don't feel comfortable recommending to others. read more

I visited here for the first time for Sunday brunch with some friends. Everything we ate was expertly prepared and tasted delicious! I ordered the farmer's frittata. It came with a small side salad dressed with a simple dressing. I added the dollop of goat cheese from the frittata to the salad; it was just the right amount to a bit of creaminess to the salad. The frittata itself was thoughtfully prepared -- from the generous serving of spinach in the middle to the super sweet bits of tomato sprinkled throughout. The only thing that this main dish was missing was some of their breakfast potatoes. They come standard with several main dishes on the brunch menu except this one. If I were to order this again, I might ask to have an extra side of the potatoes as a special order. Our server was attentive and answered all of our menu questions without any trouble. I highly recommend visiting the book art display just outside the restaurant entrance. It's quite beautiful, but you have to stand in just the right place to get the full effect of the intended image. read more

This restaurant exceeded all expectations. I came for brunch when they first opened but last night was my first dinner experience. Everything we ate was phenomenal. My group shared pimento cheese perogis, the vegan chorizo sopes, and the trout. The flavor of everything was incredible. Service was exceptional. Everything came out timed perfectly and at perfect temperature. We were all too full for desert but their desert menu looked like one of the best in OKC so I will definitely be coming back to try their desserts. Where the service failed was...server said they would bring straws and had to ask again..server said they would bring more water but it never happened. My fiancée and I were so excited to try the Milo last night after their temporary closure due to the fire next door. We were introduced to them at their pop up at another local OKC restaurant. This place is pretty great! The tots, tartare, onion jam and mushroom tart, seared striped bass, fried quail, and wagyu burger are all phenomenal! We had family in town and they stayed in the hotel so we had several meals here. Everything was great each time. They also have this cocktail that has arugula in it and it might be the best drink I've had in years! read more

Service was absolutely terrible. The first round of drinks we ordered were awful. The second rounds of drinks we ordered were left at the bar and after 15 minutes I had to go retrieve them myself. Waitress spilled water all over the table apologize and then failed to clean up the water. The salad that we ordered was supposed to be split and it came on one plate. We were then handed a second plate and asked to split it ourselves. The salad we ordered was supposed to be pre-meal they brought it at the same time as the entree. Very disappointed. read more

The service is great. The only challenge is the chefs weird scientist ideas. I've never had a Caesar salad with caramel popcorn in it.... But it works! However, beef tartar with fish sauce is just wrong. The aroma of that dish made you think that the tartar was bad. All in all, there is so much creativity here but it feels a little forced.
