This is our new little favorite spot for a pre-dinner cocktail. We have been in 3 times now, and each time our experience is A+++ They change the menu seasonally (3-4 times a year I believe) and the drinks are so unique and tasty! The service behind the bar is always kind and full of different ideas and suggestions. Its always pretty low-key and perfect for a few cocktails while we relax. We love the selection of bitters and the option to sample most of them before taking them home. Word on the street is they are working on a new concept in midtown opening v soon... I cannot wait to frequent the new spot! ;)

Gorgeous seasonal cocktail (Blarney Stone) on a blustery evening.

This place has been such a gem! An eclectic, welcoming space full of everything you didn't know was missing from your home bar set-up - tools, gadgets, glassware, that absinthe fountain you really really need..... not to mention a dizzying assortment of bitters, floral & herbal waters, exotic cocktail cherries.... Honestly, much the thing happens to me in a quality art supply shop; I lose any focus I came in with and shop by emotion alone (there are worse things). On top of that, in the back of the cozy joint you'll find a wee bar, offering delicious, original cocktails. Don't be surprised to spot your local favorite bartenders hanging out here; they clearly know a good thing.

Great place to grab a delicious cocktail and shop for all your bar needs. Great location in mi I always look forward to their seasonal cocktail menu. They have a great selection of locally made items. Just found out the lavender pictured is local made. Such great quality and use it for my matcha green tea.

Barkeep is such a wonderful gem niched in midtown OKC! We discovered it thanks to social media from Valkyrie our favorite Tulsa bar and had to come here to try it. Upon entry in the little store/bar Julia is very welcoming. The store has all kind of drinkware, bar tools, and a whole section of cocktail mixers and bitters. They also have a selection of mixology books for purchase. The menu is small but I really like the fact that the whole recipe is printed on the menu! You could recreate the drink at home if you wanted to. The bar is fairly small with only a few seats at the bar and a couch and chair inside the little boutique but it is also part of the charm of this place. The drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is very relaxing! We will definitely be back next time we are in town!

Barkeep is like a 2nd home, where the lovely & gracious hostess always knows exactly what you want to drink & makes it extra fancy - just because she wants to! You won't find craft cocktails like this anywhere else in OKC. Julia McLish - local owner & operator - puts her heart & creativity into each cocktail she creates, prepares & presents. Barkeep has all your home entertaining supplies - glassware, a wall full of bitters & syrups, shakers / mixers / stirrers, a selection of stuffed olives, variety of cocktail mixes, flasks, & MORE - plus the bar provides the perfect opportunity to try out unique bitters, syrups & spirits before you take them home! Julia also hosts private cocktail classes, perfect for a friend's night out, celebration, or work-team development. BAR TAKEOVERS | Awesome chance to try cocktails created by the best bartenders in OK! Check out @BarkeepOKC on FB & IG for upcoming takeovers, featuring various local bartenders, spirits, & various cocktail types. Be sure to stop in for a cocktail, peruse the shop, & take home some items for your home bar! If you visit enough, you can even get on the wall of photos Many cheers!

Yup, there's a bar in the back.

Hmmm, a retail store with a cocktail bar in the corner? What a concept. I love this place! The bartender at the Lobby Bar told us how much he relies upon Barkeep for bar gadgets and provisions, so we had to come check out the place. Surprise! Barkeep was celebrating its one year anniversary with pizza, party food, and discounts on merchandise. The joint was full of tippling patrons, which was an added bonus to the already unique experience. Everyone was in a holiday mood on that Saturday afternoon. The owner, Julia, who was buried behind the bar, made us a pair of perfect Plantation rum squeaks. How civilized it was to walk around the shop with a cocktail in hand, browsing the glassware, bar equipment, add-ins, doo-dads, and various and sundry accoutrements. I ended up buying bitters, a strainer, and a few other odds'n'ends by the time I had finished imbibing that beverage. Delightful! Barkeep is sweet spot for sipping a swig while stocking up on bar supplies. Or, you can just go sip!

Barkeep has it all! All types of sullies and accessories for the home bar! They had a Moscow Mule set that I waaant! But they also have bitters and mixers for every drink known to man (or woman as the case may be.) they have mixing sets in copper and silver and burnished silver. The had tiki glasses! I just get all excited about that. They have a bar with a bartender for special events. I was there last night for the Midtown Shop Hop that was sponsored by Yelp. It was so much fun. They had a special drink for us, which was too tart for me, but I'm really more of a wine girl (or sometimes a mule). They have several seating areas and a warm and inviting place to hangout.

Everything about this place is an absolute delight. From the wall of bitters, to the wide ranging and wonderful selection of barware and glassware. Add fun accessories, cocktail recipe books and more accoutrements than you can shake a cocktail at. But the best part of this place is the amiable proprietor Julia, behind the bar, getting things done, pouring drinks and making new friends. Maybe other people were smart enough to realize how much we needed this place, but I didn't really understand until I came in here for the full experience. I spent 10-15 minutes taking in all the wonderful retail goodness while some other people finished up at the bar. Then, I sat down for a wonderful, handmade cocktail. I love that Julia prints the recipe right on the menu, showing you how to make the same drink at home. My drink was a Peach Basil Mule: fresh diced peaches, 1/2 oz fresh lime juice, 1 ounce basil simple, and 2 ounces of Prairie Wolf vodka. Muddle the peaches, shake with ice, strain into glass with fresh ice, top with ginger beer and garnish with basil leaf and lime. In addition to the retail heaven and wonderful bevvies, Julia also hosts cocktail classes, guest mixologists, and more. She can also host private events and help you program your private events. I just can't think of anything cooler or more fun than getting to work with her.

This place was so cool and made me want to become a bartender. Lol The service, the drinks, the loot...all A1. Julia (the owner) was such a sweet soul and knew so much about anything spirit related. They host private events to get a one on one learning experience. Which I'm so looking forward to booking. I'm not sure if the cocktail menu was exclusive for our event, but you have to try the "Oklahoma Harvest"...brings a whole new meaning to pumpkin spice. Check them out for all your holiday...or any day beverage making needs. You'll for sure be a mixologist. Lol

What a wonderful place. Where retail shop meets bar. The Jiggers, shakers, stirring spoons, stone ice cubes (whiskey stones) etcetera are not your typical bar tools that you would find at the grocery store, Marshall's or Macy's. The products at Barkeep are high end, great quality products for professionals and for your home. It is hard to find some products for a bar, whether it is in your home or a business you run. Barkeep has a lot of those hard to find products. They have tools, ingredients, cute bar carts and an extensive bitter selection that is just jaw dropping. I have never seen one like it before. I noticed they had a bitter that was a vegan egg sub. One thing I learned was bitters are not just for alcohol. Some people even use them in soda water to add flavor. I thought that was just a great idea. So if you are not into drinking alcohol barkeep can still cater to you with the selections of bitters they have. I even noticed a small section for wine enthusiasts. Not only does Barkeep sell products and make great drinks they host classes, tastings, demonstrations, and special events like bachelor/bachelorette parties. So grab a few friends and learn how to make some drinks a what a perfect night out. If you are looking for unique gifts for a hostess or add to a home bar or a professional bar this is the place to go. Julia the owner is very friendly and helpful. Located in the plaza court in Midtown OKC.

Seriously the BEST drinks I've ever had in my life! So unique and light and fresh. Brenna was superwoman and ran literally everything like it was nothing. She went above and beyond for us! The drinks are strong and the atmosphere was perfection. We were visiting from KC and talked with so many OKC people like they were our best friends. I can't wait to come back... such a hidden gem!

Walking in, it was dimly lit & it reminded me of a bar Downtown in Tulsa. We found a table (the place got filled up pretty quick afterwards) caddy corner to the bar & we got help quick. My partner ordered the Oaxacan Old Fashioned, a friend of mine ordered some Truffle Fries & a drink that I didn't catch - as for me, I got the Ginger Beer (I don't drink). The Oaxacan Old Fashioned looked nice with the orange peel climbing out of the glass & had a really good aroma (I took a big whiff of it). The ginger beer was a spicy ginger beer & it was really good. With every sip, it was opening up my nostrils, it had some spice to it for sure. I tried my friend's Truffle Fries & it's something I'd order, especially if I wasn't as hungry & wanted a "snack". You can smell the truffle while the taste was real subtle. All in all, the place was chill. It was a nice wind down from leaving an art show & The Collective (I had no clue it turned into a clubbish scene on a Saturday... they were jammin' that night). My friend was a regular there, the individual who served us was super nice & friendly. There was whole menu to explore full of sandwiches, burgers (I want to try the South West Burger along with the Umami Burger) & all kind of other dishes to choose from. As much as I come down to OKC, I still get familiar with the scene more & more - R&J is added to the list of places that I'd return to. Side Note: A friend of my friend stopped by right before my partner & I left. She ordered the Brussel Sprouts and Bacon & in my head, I dove into her plate before she could.

It had a lot of cheese on top so if you're lactose intolerant, I would skip it but if anything, please get the white bean dip. It was so good. It has sage and pancetta, and the flavor was just impeccable. We also got the Bucatini with the pesto and added on the salmon. I'm not sure what the mixup was, but our salmon came fairly late, but it was cooked very well. I got the hotel national cocktail and my friend got the Limoncello spritz and it was both refreshing!
