We sat on the patio our server greeted us the first time and took our drink orders which were 6 beers and Red Bull and vodka and 2 shots arrived about 20 minutes later we then never saw our server again I had to flag down the other server to ask to order 3 verges bombs and our tab it then took another 20 min for our drinks but no tab to pay out Its been another 10 min and we're still here waiting to pay just to leave this place I'm sitting here looking at our server kawme stand at the computer while another server took care of us read more

Date night the Saturday before Christmas? Yes please! I'm from Oklahoma but haven't lived here since 2006. Every time I come home there's a newer development or new-to-us restaurant friends and family are raving about. Our double date suggested O Bar based on previous experience. They said they've never had a bad experience or a dish / drink they didn't like! The men opted for old fashioned's, good enough for a second round. The women opted for a Pinot Noir and a Cabernet Sauvignon, both delicious. I had the beef Wellington bites which were perfectly crispy on the outside with tender inside. My spicy tuna roll was picture perfect and the taste matched! Service was great, the space was romantic and cozy. The location is also great with lots of other restaurants and businesses to keep you busy for the evening / day without having to get back in the car to go to another spot. read more

Been wanting to check out O Bar for several years or catch some live music, and just finally had the chance to make it out. I didn't visit as a patron in any regular circumstance though; I was here to attend a cocktail class they were holding. We got directions to make three cocktails: Moscow mule, cosmopolitan, and vodka martini Parking and entering the hotel was easy, and the front desk provided directions up to the floor for O Bar. The hotel is very nice, and everything from entering the building to exiting the elevator to O Bar made me feel upper-class lol The space for O Bar is really intimate with lots of high-top tables and chairs on the same side of the bar, and some nice furniture and low tops on the left side. The bar is straight and short in length, but proportionate to the space There are windows galore across the space; view allows for ranges from the NE to NW. The balcony is on the west side of the bar, and there are a few tables and chairs out there Their staff is super friendly and they are certainly cocktail experts that want to know your preference if you like cocktails made your way. The lingo used to order drinks is broad especially for drinks like martinis using words such as dirty or dry and then the choice between gin or vodka, and some other choices I couldn't remember but included ingredients like vermouth and green olive stuff, and orange and lemon zest to extract and flambe the essential oils with a match. Also learned that the amount cranberry juice in a cosmopolitan can tremendously affect the outcome of the cocktail Of the three cocktails we made I think the cosmo was my favorite, but the directions and guidance from O Bar was full of great fun facts. The presentation from the Grey Goose Representative was top notch, and the most memorable fun fact about the vodka is that the wheat GG uses comes from the 'bread basket region' of France, and if you know French Cuisine then you know what's up with that... This place is a must if you're Looking for a nice rooftop bar with good food. They have vegetarian options which is a plus but they're snacks and their main entrees are delicious. Tried their Mediterranean charcuterie and the grilled cheese. Both were great. The Bruni cocktail was phenomenal. Very low key location in the ambassador hotel. Great place to enjoy the view of OKC with or without a cocktail. Nice atmosphere for a date night or catching up with friends. They have a patio with lounge chairs or you can enjoy the view indoors. Be on the lookout for various events that take place there. Menu is limited but plenty of restaurants within walking distance to enjoy before or afterwards. Get the Steak and frittes! Perfect in every way. The service is awesome bc it is a small and unique rooftop restaurant. And you cannot get a better view! I like that you don't have to sit on the patio for the view bc sometimes my allergies get to me. So, I like that I can sit inside and still see the OKC skyline. The kitchen is shared with Chalkboard below. But they have a little bit of a different menu and specials upstairs. My spouse likes the sushi from the O Bar but it's always that steak for me! read more

We met some friends here last night. The drinks were great and the service is very friendly. The ambiance is just right for an intimate meet up. I dislike large crowds so I prefer the small setting. The menu is presented on news print with multiple pages. I think that style of menu is intended to be different and fun, but I found it difficult and awkward. We skipped ordering appetizers. We ordered cesar salads and pasta dishes. The ceasar salads were just OK. They were very dry. I asked Jan if there was ceasar dressing on the salads and she thought there was a little, but it was very little. Also, there were no croutons in the salad. The first ceasar I've ever had without croutons. There was a heavy amount of finely shreaded parmsean on the salad, in fact, it was so heavy it nearly covered all of the lettuce. Charged more than I should have been. I'd actually love to hear from management on this. But I came in Saturday night for drinks and the drinks were decent, had better. But I had 3 drinks between my date and I, and I looked the next day to find an extra charge on my account. I normally tip a dollar a drink as my standard, which IS the standard where I'm from, unless you order food and sit at a table. We sat outside and had to go to the bar to order and then they sat on the bar for about 10 minutes before I had to get up and go ask where my drinks were - $1 a drink is more than fair. So I have a pending transaction at this point of $34 for 3 drinks, plus another one for $5, and having worked at banks for years I knew this was going to be a problem and yes it posted for more than I authorized, and I still have a pending transaction that hasn't gone anywhere. Someone at this establishment didn't appreciate $1 per drink order for a tip and decided to add a few bucks on it. Let's recap: I had to go get the drinks, I had to wait and all the while they were sitting on the bar top for ~10 minutes when they all were standing around, and now I'm getting overcharged. First of all, they had complementary chocolate chip & oatmeal raisin cookies and fruit water when entering the hotel... and none of the workers judged us for grabbing some while on our way to the rooftop bar :) The bar itself is a nice place for a date or casual drinks with friends and/or workers. Standard wine, cocktail and beer menus - nothing out of the ordinary. Comfortable seating both indoors and (surprisingly) outdoors, so you can sit out on the patio and enjoy the view. I've been told that this the only bar that gives an "great" view of the city. It was kinda pretty, but coming from LA, CA and going to a bunch of them in NYC, NY ... it was very underwhelming. Honestly used to come in here a lot but this last time will probably be the last. The manager stanly i think. He has red hair and was in jeans. would not leave us alone. Every two seconds would ask if we wanted more or try to get us to order or would send people over to ask us to order more. Hard to have a peaceful drink. Walked in, went to the Host desk and stated I had a party of 4 adults and a child. I asked if I could have the "half and half" table by the door leading to the patio. I should have taken heed by the "deer in headlights" look i received that I was not dealing with a full deck of cards person. The table was empty, but she tried to convince me that i should take one of the crescent tables. Trying to remain calm at the total incompetence before me; I finally stated that I'll take a table outside...to which I received the reply: "I don't think we can do that because the tables are worked in a diagonal" I know at this point I had a, "Tha Fook" look about my face. I also got a text that the group had grown by an adult and a infant; knowing this was going to confuse the hostess even more, but best to update the count. She then said she would have to go and check with the manager if it would in fact be possible to move tables that are not bolted down, outside to fit 5 adults and 2 children. Thinking, "I'm glad I showed up early", the restaurant then began to get busy. Not too long later she returned with the manager...who explained it would not be a problem to put some tables together. He informed me that they would get it set up, but they they would wait to seat when the rest of the party arrived; rules I understand and stated as much...I did ask the manager though, why the hostess said it would be an issue...He honestly replied he didn't know why she had said that. So kudos to the Manager with the blonde hair and light colored shirt. So I sat down in the waiting area for everyone to arrive. About 5 minutes elapsed when they finally arrived. As my party entered the restaurant, i stepped up to the host stand and informed them everyone had arrived and that the party had reduced back down to the original number (4 adults and 1 child). The male host informed me that it would be another 5 minutes...not so they could set up the table...but so that the server would not be overwhelmed by a third table. Yes, that look came across my face again. The female hostess walked away to go talk to the server as I was explaining to the male host that its fine to seat us; we can wait for the server for when she was ready. At this time he was confused. Which made no sense. I mean this is a restaurant that if normally PACKED...with a line that wraps around the building and cars are fighting for a spot to park. So to say the server needed time to acclimate from two tables, to three...THAT is a major problem for your restaurant that is always busy. Well, a few minutes had gone by and we were still waiting to be taken to our table. The male server noticed (which I had noticed the whole time) that the female hostess was still talking to the server. He proceeded to run back there and they and a different manager came to the front. The manager asked confusedly if I wanted to be sat down...I replied, "Yes, we never expected to be immediately tended to by the server, we just wanted to sit down and get out of the way of all the people now coming in. He showed us to the table and asked if there was anything else (wrong question). So I told him that the hostess was incompetent. How I had originally asked for the half and half table, etc. Then the whole diagonal thing and now about the server needing time to acclimate from two tables to three. Now, the worst thing you can do as a manager of any installation is stand there and look stupid (this is not the same manager as before, mind you, this guy had brunette hair and a blue shirt). Whish was exactly what he was doing, and giving responses that sounded like he went into default mode. They didn't address the situation, they didn't acknowledge the situation...They were literally "filler talk". My reaction was again, that look. We sat down and the original server finally came out, provided us with menus and took our drink order, and left. Maybe 5 minutes later Lindsey came out with our drinks. THAT is when the experience turned for the positive. She was jovial, polite, informed us of the special (which I ordered; they need to rename it the Wilford Brimley - iykyk). She gave us the perfect amount of time. Never rushed to refill coffees or anything...and the BEST part: she didn't ask when everyone has food in their mouth how everything was...I HATE THAT!!!!. The restaurant from the outside is beautiful with a tropical themed mural; designated areas are clearly labeled as "Dine-In" and "To-Go". The inside is also very intricate with beautiful colors. Fourth of July weekend possibly brought a bigger influx so the noise level was pretty high, but we were still able to hold a conversation. The mango pancakes were spectacular with a generous serving size. Sweet, but not too sweet along with fresh strawberries. Iced Horchata Latte was able to be made with oatmilk rather than regular milk. I appreciate how the servers ask for sweetness preference when it comes to their coffees. The pancakes were around ~$18 and the Iced Horchata Latte (~$8) + oatmilk ($1 for the substitution). I would strongly recommend checking Café Kacao out!! The Yelp waitlist is pretty accurate and the Café does it best to update any changes.

It makes zero sense to have a side salad the same price as all your regular sides that you can get with the meal then to say that because it's a salad it somehow is more. If you have to pay additional for a basic side then it should be listed under premium sides. It's poor menu planning and it impacts the customer experience because it's a senseless up charge.

The night before my visit to Aurora, I did not lose money at the casino and went home early. I woke up at 7 AM the next day and it was raining. This was a perfect setup to go to popular breakfast diners. I walked in, sharply dressed and full of confidence. I truly believe that I got better service because of my outfit. For the chicken sandwich, think a Nashville hot but doused in Tikka Masala sauce. This was a messy sandwich to eat (read knife and fork) and while my chicken had good flavor, it was a bit tough. The fries were amazing and get a side of their ranch dressing to go with them. The pasta looked amazing (came with a fried egg on top) and I was told it was good. I would probably try a breakfast item the next time I'm there. I loved the iced coffee "cloud" drink that I got!!
