We were there in time to just enjoy the last half hour of happy hour. So we indulged in their half off Patatas Bravas appetizer. It had a very generous proportion. It was a great appetizer especially for a happy hour food and drink type. Luckily our server Zach let us know the sauce was at the bottom so we could stir it up a little and ensure every bit had sauce. My wife got her continuously boring Savignon Blanc. And I explored the Bartender's Choice due to happy hour. A drink they decide and surprise you with. Zach asked me some basic questions to ensure it would be a drink I might like. For example if I didn't like vodka and the drink had vodka that would suck. But with the inquiry my drinks were amazing. I had one called Gold Rush and a French 75. For our main meal my wife had the Chorizo Mac and Cheese and I had Wagyu Sirloin medium well with a side of local greens and oregano vinaigrette. The Mac and cheese has the perfect spice only a chorizo could bring. The proportion was perfect for a meal in itself. I also got 2 steak sauces: one was Smoked Paprika Carmel sauce and the other was Chimichurri. The Wagyu was more medium than medium well but not a big deal for me...I just don't want it to bleed out when I cut into it and luckily it didn't. It was tender and juicy by itself but the sauces did kick it up a notch in flavor. I was more partial to the Smoked Paprika sauce as the Chimichurri sauce was a little spicy for me. I enjoyed the top part of my greens but towards the bottom all the vinaigrette settle there and drowned the greens. I should have asked for the vinaigrette on the side so I could control the amount. Our dessert was a liquid dessert when the Sauvignon Blanc reared its ugly head (no really it was good hence so many glasses) and I had my tried and true old fashioned with a large cube and bartender s choice on a top self bourbon. We did use the bathrooms and we can happily report the bathrooms are very clean, nice and smell good. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves from the moment we walked into the place and until we departed. This welcoming place is beckoning us to come back and we will oblige.

That's not a critique, it's just what it is. You'll be greeted by a friendly face at the door and shown to your table. I recommend reservations. We started with the nachos and they are outstanding! There are many great appetizers but this has been my favorite over the years. A few of us also got a small Caesar salad. I had the Teriyaki glazed chicken with rice pilaf. It's a wonderful bite but the rice was not as hot as I'd like. My husband got the Chicken Caesar Salad and found it delicious. Several diners chose the Medallions Dianne with various sides. No one uttered a single complaint and there was no room left for dessert which is high praise. My only real complaint is that we were seated next to the door leading into the bar. Smoking is still allowed in the bar and since all alcoholic beverages are made there the swinging door was very active, giving me a blast of smoke filled air far more than I'd like. If cigar or cigarette smoke is an issue for you then ask to be seated away from that swinging bar door.
