    100 layer lasagna
    Callye A.

I'm traveling for work and one of the highlights of my day is choosing where to eat after a long day. I chose Sparrow, and I already told my coworkers, that I could have dinner here every day for the rest of my trip and be OK. Parking wad a little tricky when I first arrived, but I figured it out. I also had a brief moment of panic when the hostess asked me if I had reservations, but I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't miss a beat and seated me immediately. This restaurant is a little higher end, but I was impressed at the approachability and general "fancy but friendly" vibe of the place. My plan going in was to order the hundred-layer lasagna and dessert, but when the server recommended the flash fried artichokes and feta, I couldn't resist. I am pleased to report that everything was fantastic. The artichokes and feta were delicately charred and fried, and even better than I'd hoped! The hundred layer lasagna was also amazing, and it was a struggle to save half for tomorrow's lunch. It was a perfect balance of noodles, crispy edges, cheese, and sauce. I ended the meal with the Italian meringue with lemon curd and roasted berries (I think) and I had to fight the urge to lick my plate! The server was very attentive And helpful, and I also noticed that the GM-or maybe even the owner-personally checked on every table. 100% five stars from me, I cannot wait to go back!

Went on a Thursday night, had a reservation and was sat with no problem. They were kind and attentive. It was not packed but the lights were dim and it was so adorable and sophisticated! The food was top notch. We got the burrata and Alfredo.

Great food and excellent service! It was our anniversary and they placed rose petals and a card at our table upon arrival. It was perfect, especially considering this was our first visit to Sparrow. We Will be back!

After our granddaughter's graduation from OSU, the family headed to Sparrows for a celebratory dinner. One of the reasons Sparrows was selected is for their gluten-free menu offerings to accommodate two family members with celiac. We started with appetizers, and they were all very good. I especially liked the garlic knotts: garlic-shallot butter, mozzarella, and bread, delectable! I love eggplant parmsean and was quite pleased to find it on the menu. It was very good, but the eggplant was a little strong. I'd give it a four out of five. My wife ordered the lemon fettucini alfredo and liked it. She said it was very good, but it was served barley warm. The restaurant has a modern, luxurious decor. It has a nice feel. The service was exceptional. It was very noisy but our table of seven was between a table of twelve and six. The prices are moderate.

Delicious food great wait staff cool vibe. Had the Burrata for a starter nice combo of roasted tomatoes and pesto and mozzarella. A glass of Chianti with lasagna for the main. Read a lot about this place and it lives up to the hype. I'll be back.

Had an amazing experience here when I dined with a friend on a Tuesday evening at 4:30 pm. for an early dinner. It was after Christmas, but before NYE, and decorations were still up, which we loved. Service was incredible and we were sat right away. Food: We shared the garlic knots with marinara sauce, shared a Caesar salad, my friend ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and I ordered the 1000 layer lasagna. Everything was delicious! I only had a few bites o Drinks: The Aviary is such a delicious strawberry flavored cocktail. We both ordered this drink because we wanted to sip a drink in the cute little bird glasses that the drinks were poured in! We both appreciated that the taste matched the aesthetics. I would order this drink again even if it wasn't in this special glass. I want to come back and try dessert and more menu items. And of course, I will order The Aviary, again!!

My second time here and first review. The restaurant is well decorated and the service is good. However the food needs to be improved for the price. The edge of our lasagna is burnt and citrus tasting, which is different. The stuffed zucchini roll is rich and spicy(Italian sausages), very small serving. We were shocked by the tiramisu at the end, it is insta-tiramisu with whipped cream, no coffee taste. It is indeed house-made, they just layered a couple ladyfingers and put whipped cream on it for $11. Very lazy-man style. I was hoping the food improved since I had been a year ago, but it is not the case.

At the price point I believe there was a lot to be desired from the food itself, albeit the service was excellent. I ordered the mushroom agnolotti and there appeared to be a mistake in the preparation, the pics of the dish on here posted by others had a thin sauce on it while my dish did not. Also, it was a very light dish, I'm sure by design, but it was so light that it would be more fitting as a primi/appetizer. Flavor wise it seemed uninspired. Rating: 5/10 My fiancé had the Spicy Shrimp Rigatoni, we love spice, so the level of spice in the sauce was a nice kick, if you're spice sensitive though, I'd avoid it. Also, we aren't sticklers by any means on our food and wouldn't send anything back but it oddly came out barely luke warm. Rating: 7 to 7.5/10.

Walking in you will instantly feel fancy. This place has the ambiance down - not cool, trendy or warm - just fancy. The atmosphere, kind service and price of the meals is going to raise your expectations. But don't let it. The food is mediocre. We were very disappointed. I didn't even take a picture of our main dishes because it took a while for them to come out and I was pretty hungry. We visited on a Monday night. Maybe two other tables full so the food service could have been quicker. I got the salmon and it was over cooked and smothered in marinara with a few asparagus for $26. I'm ok paying for good salmon but this wasn't it. The birds nest appetizer was interesting and tasty but after tip our meal was almost $100. Not worth it for flavorless food. Unfortunately we will not be back.

Si this is definitely a very modern Italian restaurant, flavors are on point and delicious. I was expecting the traditional chicken Parmesan, but never an actual pizza. It was so freaking delicious. Also if you like sweat girly drinks, try their Aviary!!!!

Genuinely just the best restaurant I've ever been to. It's that simple. The burrata especially.

We had the chicken Parmesan and it was fairly bland. The Chicken Parm at Upper Crust is much better.

If we went on the earlier side of dinner would this restaurant be friendly for two fairly well behaved kids? Edited: we made 5:30 reservations and ordered quickly. We had a 3…

Not knowing the age of your children, and not know their behavior in restaurants, it's hard to say. This is not a place I'd take a child under the age of 5 or 6. There was no children at all when we were there.

Unfortunately, the pricing versus portion size completely misses the mark. The fried bread appetizer was $12 and barely about six inches long. Not sure how that's meant to be shared. The deviled eggs were $13 for six halves...that's just three eggs. For those prices, you expect either larger portions or something that really stands out--but the food was just average. A pimento burger at $17 and a Caesar salad at $12 wouldn't be an issue if everything else matched up, but combined with the small portions and overall quality, it just feels overpriced. It's frustrating because this place has so much potential. With a few adjustments--especially bringing prices down a couple bucks or increasing portion sizes--they could absolutely pack the place. Right now, it just doesn't justify the cost.

Our group of six grabbed a table outside, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The service was attentive, and the food and drinks hit the mark. We tried the burgers and fries. Fries were homemade and delicious! Our favorite drink was the Rattlesnake Kate but get it quick because it's seasonal. The indoor space looked inviting too, spacious with a relaxed vibe. The only downside? The music. Slow country tunes played nonstop, which didn't quite match the lively atmosphere we were hoping for. We asked if they'd consider mixing in some upbeat country and/or top 40 hits, but it seems the owners are pretty set on their playlist (at least that is what we were told). It was disappointing especially as I read other reviews that they want to be a premiere music spot. Can certain nights be different music selections to appeal to all customers? There's a lot of potential here! Note: we were one of maybe five tables there, and that's counting inside and outside. Fun fact: we learned the same owners run Round Midnight in downtown Edmond and have plans to open a deli next door. We love Round Midnight! Looking forward to seeing the deli menu.

One thing that stood out to me for my Oaxacan Mule is that the Mezcal's smoky flavor really shown through and it was not overly sweet. A very clean cocktail, which I highly appreciate! We ordered the Chef's Salad Wrap with Onion Rings, French Dip with the tomato soup, and the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with seasonal side of grits. I enjoyed the Chef's Salad Wrap but I would probably be a little more bold next time and get the Cortez or the Reuben. I craved a lighter choice and was more sinful with the over the top delicious onion rings! Wowowow! Hubby enjoyed his soup and French dip and son enjoy his Philly cheesesteak and grits.
