Higher end shelf for bourbons and spirits

My old company is based in Mills River. One of our longstanding sales reps was celebrating her well deserved retirement and there was a group that planned her celebration here. I drove up from GA to give my congratulations Plenty of parking here, and the facility is large. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and last night (Thursday) there was a guy playing guitar and singing- good stuff, Allman Bros, etc. The bourbon and whiskey offering here is absolutely fantastic! Jennifer was the person I dealt with towards the end, and shamefully I didn't get anyone else's name but everyone was awesome here. There's a food truck here full time, so you can get food while you enjoy a couple of cold ones. Something for everyone! Worth the drive the opportunity to see my former colleagues, and enjoy the celebration. Congratulations to Lisa, and thanks to the team here at MRB for a fantastic party!

Stopped here after visiting the Troll exhibit at the NC Arboretum for lunch. Pleasantly surprised to see a very nice selection of $10 lunches that also came with a soft drink. I opted for the hamburger and house chips. You could substitute fries for $3 more. The burger was cooked nicely and was very well dressed. Special sauce, lettuce, tomato and onion with pickles on the side. Tasted great! The house chips were flavorful and crispy. One friend in our group had a salad and another had the chili and a grilled cheese sandwich which was also on the $10 lunch special. The other member had a Reuben sandwich and fries. Now, onto the beer. I had a taste of the vanilla porter and it was great. I loved the taste so I ordered a pint. They have a very large indoor area with lots of tables and a large bar. Outdoors is a fantastic area. Seems like the outdoor area would be super fun! Will definitely be back if we're in the area again.

When visiting family in NC we had the opportunity to visit Mills River Brewing for some T Swift trivia. They had signage sharing fun events going on all through the week, lively music, ample in door and outdoor seating, and great food and drink selections. You go up to a counter to order and get a buzzer to return for your food, we tried some desserts, cocktails, egg rolls, fries, and their nachos! Food was a little on the pricier side for what it was but everything was tasty and getting to hang out somewhere lovely was well worth it! The staff was very kind and made suggestions, and they also were great in explaining a raffle they have going on that gives back to the community.

Ambience: After a day of hiking at Dupont Forest, this was an awesome lunch stop. Beautiful place (see pictures) backing up to a wooded area. Food: A seriously huuuuuuge menu, and beer, wine, cocktails. We got a wedge salad & the special of the day ... fried shrimp sandwich. *** Pretty sure this is the best meal I've ever had at a brewery. *** Service: Nice people at the bar and quick service. Helped us pick a beer that was so good!! Their cocktail menu is also impressive. If I'm within 30 minutes of this place, I'll be back for sure!!

The pizzas and nachos here are off the chain!

What a fun place to spend the evening! This brewery has a lot to offer, with a wide range of beers available, a huge (and delicious) food menu, live music, outdoor patios, shaded woods area to relax in, along with so much more. We came into town to visit friends and were planning on just staying here for a beer, and ended up canceling our dinner reservation elsewhere and just stayed at Mills River instead. It gets a little crowded on a Saturday evening, but that's to be expected when a place is this awesome.

    Can't miss it

What's not to love about this place? Beautiful compound, indoor areas and plenty of outdoor spaces. Cocktails are available if you're not into beer, but drink the beer!! it's fabulous, something for everyone. We didn't eat but saw some of the dishes others were having and they looked great. Had an acoustic duo playing, just a great place destined to become a favorite.

This is by far one of our fav places in the Asheville area. It has quickly become one of our "go-to" spots. The food is incredible and the atmosphere is great for a date nights, celebrations, letting the kids get outside and play, etc. The indoor dining is a vibe. The outdoor dining is very expansive. There is heated seating at high top tables, picnic tables, adirondack, etc. in addition to this there is a great walking path and plenty of places to explore. Pro Tip: If it's cold.. you can ask for them to turn on the outdoor heat.

The beer was good but the food was terribly overcooked, dry and tasteless. Even the sauce couldn't give it flavor. We won't be going back.

We started outside and all chose the "Tubular Wine Tasting" which offered 6 options - this time, it was 3 red and 3 white. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the decor gave an antique vibe. There was a food truck offering an interesting selection of tacos, sopas, empanadas, etc. They also had a special for St Patrick's Day of a green sangria/mimosa and gold dusted popcorn combo. I enjoyed the variety of wine options in the tasting and trying new things that I wouldn't normally order on my own. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and they even allowed us to bring in our own snacks. They have options to build your own charcuterie boards as well.

They also have items for sale to make your own charcuterie board on-site. There was a taco food truck there when we went, but I'm not sure how often a food truck is on-site. The staff were all very polite, friendly and great at answering all of our questions. Overall this is a great relaxed hang out spot to go with family/friends, a girls afternoon, date or just a chill afternoon. I would definitely go back next time I am in town.
