Great food! It was a breathe of fresh air with large portions and different options than the regular joints on ACK. Lobster roll was delish!

I really liked this place. First off, there is a shuttle from downtown (and it'll take you back, too). About a 15 minute ride. The menu mainly consists of tacos, quesadillas and salads. They have a good mixed drink menu and some appetizers. We had the 7 layer dip and the salsa/queso/guacamole combos for appetizers. Most everyone at the table got quesadillas but I ordered shrimp tacos. YUM! Everyone loved their food and it came out relatively fast. The service was a bit slow, but the servers were high schoolers, so I didn't expect much. I liked this place and I'd recommend it to any visitor to Nantucket! read more

I went to Millie's once last summer and I loved it!!! Like some others here have said, there is a beautiful beach view, it is so close to the beach and it has a lot of charm. The quesadilla and chips and guacamole were delicious!! I think these are the best quesadillas that I have ever had, the chips and guacamole were also very yummy! I definitely want to go back next summer. Millie's has a very homey and friendly feel from being beachside, beautiful views and the wonderful memorabilia. Great place! read more

My family has visited Millie's many times while on island. Tonight we made the trip from in town on a rainy night (always well worth it). Since the weather was bad it wasn't very busy. We love the love lobster quesadilla, quac and margaritas. Also, a big fan of the chips and queso! Tonight we had the unfortunate experience of being waited on by Emily (brunette with long hair). She created one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences. I didn't say anything at first but when my 12 year old said "what is wrong with her" I knew I wasn't imagining it. She treated us like unwelcome guest and I have no idea why. We ordered a ton of food and drinks and we are a very happy family. My husband and I visited Madaket beach at the end of this summer - the week after labor day. The only shuttle going this week was to this beach. To our delight we were dropped off in front of Millie's and got take out from them for lunch one day. I ordered the 40th Pole quesadilla - it was amazing! It was huge and stuffed with grilled marinated chicken, goat cheese, caramelized onions, and jack & cheddar cheese. Next time we are on the island we will be sure to come back here! One tip is to check the schedule during the off season - we lucked out that we went a day they were open. read more

Good food and very untrained service. The prices certainly only account for the beach location. They are not close to anything else so not exactly a place to make a special trip to. brought a bigger party back out there for dinner after the Nantucket Triathlon this past weekend. As before, great, fast service and exceptional food and drink. towards the end of our meal they had a guy playing music too - wasn't too overbearing so made the atmosphere that much better. definitely can't wait to go there again, though likely won't be until next years triathlon. read more

Love this outdoor experience with families with kids. Picnic tables outside set the scene for a relaxed and very casual atmosphere. Margaritas are large and perfectly balance.d I had the striped sea bass tacos which were delicious. Their rice is noteworthy albeit a bit oily. I love it though. Their icecream in the take out part is only so so. Be sure to save time for a walk to the end of the road to watch the sunset and spot some seals come closer than you expect to check you out! read more

in my mind, the best place on the island for reasonably priced (reasonable for nantucket) food. the food comes out quick, which is great because it is usually very busy at night. mixed crowd of families (lots of kids) although by the later hours it is more of an adult crowd. the bar is perfect for a few drinks before or after the meal. try the madaket mystery or a cisco grey lady. shuttle left from town and was an easy way to get a group of 11 out there. 40th pole is my choice of quesadillas (chicken, goat cheese, caramelized onion) and the Hither Creek (striper taco) is another awesome option. highlight is probably the summer rice, don't know how they make it but it is great. con's, if any: no reservations unless you are a big group, lots of kids between 6-8 PM. pro's: the food, service, location (best place on ack for a sunset). easy parking or the shuttle from town. i've been here 10+ times over the past 2 summers and have yet to have a negative experience. haven't done the takeout/ beach food option read more

Don't come here for the food. The last two years my husband and I came here, the food and drink have been pretty awful. The salsa had pickle in it, the $15 mixed drinks tasted like super sweet dive bar drinks, the chicken on my salad was scrappy and greasy, my husbands fish tacos had fish skin in them and tasted "fishy" in a bad way, and I asked for no peanuts because I'm allergic and my salad had peanuts in it! I hate leaving a bad review but I feel like we've been robbed. It's hard to be so down on a place when you're in paradise- that's how bad it was. In Nantucket this summer and stopped at Millie's twice for lunch. In all, we had: lobster salad, shrimp roll, clam roll, vegetable quesadillas, clam and corn chowder, and many beers. Food was as good as ever and the staff were all young, enthusiastic, fit and toned. "Two thumbs up" and "good choice, bro" are common lines of conversation with the waiters and made me feel young again :). Don't miss Millie's for lunch. read more

I always order quesadillas, and I believe I found the best one I've ever had in my life. I LOVED the Brant Point (HUGE shrimp with mango/pineapple salsa, zucchini, and onion). So delicious, and a huge portion too. It comes with a white sauce, salsa, and guac. There are two eating areas - upstairs is seated service, and downstairs (where I ate), you order at the bar, get a number, and take a seat outside or in (plenty of space. Bd.een going there since back when it was the Westender and would get Madaket Mysteries. This time was awful. Granted its tough with covid. However we just wanted to get a drink. It was raining on and off so we wanted to go inside, upstairs. Nope. We asked if we could sit under the tent, nope. We could sit at a high top at which all the stools were wet. No attempt to dry them by any of the staff. Get your own drink at the take out window. OK. We get a beer and a dark and stormy. $24. Pricey for drinks served in a plastic cup. Turns out the ginger beer was flat. Take it back to the window and they remake it. Get back to table and drink is awful. Took it back and got a refund of $13. Have spent a lifetime in the service industry, and my grandfather was a French Chef. There is no excuse for this restaurant. Have decided that even though its walking distance to our house, we are done with Millies. Not our first bad experience there. read more

What's not to love about Millie's? Fantastic food. We've been there four times and have tried a half dozen different tacos and quesadillas on the menu and loved them all. Friendly service... There were a dozen young men and women working there the last time we went and they were ALL friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere... Downright phenomenal if you're lucky enough to get a 2nd floor table right around sunset. It's even reasonably priced (at least by Nantucket standards). My wife calls the experience "gourmet casual". I think the characterization is spot on. We don't give out 5 stars often but 5 stars for Millie's is offered without hesitation. read more

We've been going to Millie's on our annual ACK vacation for the last 7 years. It's a great, casual spot, good for families and picky eaters (who doesn't love a taco and Spanish rice?) Each year I'm hopeful the service will be improved over the prior year....but I was wrong again this past week. The food is a solid experience. The tacos are delicious, with my favorite being the seared tuna/wasabi combo; apps are terrific; drinks are ok...generally the margaritas are watery. To say that the service is lacking, would be an understatement, which is why I only gave them 3 stars. The hostess stand is rude and unapologetic. We approached them last week, with a party of four (3 adults, one child)....and I waited in front of the hostess stand for someone to make eye contact with me while she chatted with her friends, left the stand, them returned, texted on her phone, left again, returned....then looked up at me and said "do you need something?" Really?!? I so ask how long for 4, to which she let out a huge sigh...."wellll....it will be like 30-40 minutes....." To which I indicated we were committed to waiting, so she rolled her eyes,took my name, and we were off....when our table was finally ready, we approached the stand (all four of us) and she said "how many kids menus."....again, really?! There are three adults and one kid in front of you.... Ok, so at our table, service was the typical slow....when your waitress takes your order, you had better get everything in there because the next time you see her will be when she delivers the check. They never come back to refill water, ask for second round of drinks, or check on food. And, if you do get lucky enough to catch their eye.....like I did....she will be annoyed you asked for the extra napkins or glass of water. If you are looking for great food, excellent service, and a beautiful view, Millies is the place. This restaurant has a casual and happy atmosphere and the playlist is spot on. Our server, Emily, was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and my mother had "the best fish taco she has ever tasted". There is enough food in each meal to take some home for lunch thr next day. I will mostdefinitley come back to Millies next time I am on the island!! read more

Place is a joke. Food and location are good, but the place has the management of a third grader's lemonade stand. They don't even answer their phones at anytime past 5pm because they don't know how to operate phones or wait times. Worth five stars but the strange hostess waiting system is extremely questionable. While there are no reservations accepted they certainly allow you to call and place your name early for the waitlist. Several people were turned away after not responding their message that their table was ready. The tacos were delicious and the kids devoured their kids tacos with no complaint. A friend recommended going for lunch instead of dinner and considering we waited for 90 minutes for a table is proof to her suggestion. Granted this is high season!!!!! read more

Had the same experience as another reviewer. Seated at a tiny two top and asked to be moved to another table by the window. Although there were only two other parties there, they refused. Ce la vie. Been there half dozen times and can tell the locals are favored. What else is new? The menu is limited: quesadillas, po boys and tacos. That's pretty much it. Cocktails are good, however. My husband and I were really excited to try this place, as we had heard fabulous things. Unfortunately, we waited a ridiculous length of time considering the fairly minimal crowd at the restaurant, and our server, Mary, was clearly overwhelmed by her work load, and barely paid any attention to us (or anyone around us, it seemed).
