We've been to Murphys many many times over the years and today was the first day we've made it to Milliaire Winery. That being said, this place will absolutely be a MUST for us on our future visits. Don't get me wrong- the wines were seriously good (buy the petite Syrah!!!) but Linda was the star of the show: My husband and I had an amazing conversation with Linda, who is not only the sweetest person but so also so personable and easy to talk to. She made us feel special by dedicating time and spending time with us even when she had other customers. And I'm sure those customers thought the same thing. She deserves a raise and simply just praise because she's seriously amazing. Not only is the staff amazing and the wines delicious, but also the back patio is so relaxing as you are able to sip your wines while watching the flowing river and hearing the water! Super fantastic! We went to a few different places where the offered wine tastings and this was by far our favorite. They had a very relaxed vibe and knew what they were doing. They only pour if you have reservations - which you can actually make online! Thank you thank you for allowing that, sometimes we aren't able to call to make reservations during business hours and this was fantastic. When we arrived, they already were expecting us and poured all our wines for us at once which we were able to pour into our glasses at our own pace. We did not feel rushed to make room for the next group and there were several that we enjoyed. The back patio is adorable with a giant fig tree covering and shading the area. It was significantly cooler than everywhere else. Everyone that worked there was kind, friendly, and welcoming. We certainly will be back! This place is awesome! It is on Main Street in a converted gas station. They did a great job of retaining the charm of the original building while turning it into a lovely, modern winery. Excellent experience from start to finish! We felt particularly safe engaging in a wine tasting during Covid times. If I could give more stars I would! We stopped by on a Sunday early afternoon with 4 people and Linda was right there to greet us. She was the most friendly, welcoming lady. She starting us off with the bubbly and then brought out our flight with 6 different wines. She was always available to answer any questions and just made you feel that she had known you for years. Our group of 8 came to Milliaire on the recommendation of one of our party and the fact the owner/winemaker is a Fresno State grad (Go Bulldogs!). We had a rough start as they did not have our reservation on the calendar but Linda was super gracious and told us not to fret she would get us set up which she promptly did. We were disappointed in the wine tasting menu, only 4 wines, a sparkling, a white, a red and a dessert wine. Linda did bring out a Pinot Noir which was very good.
