Fun impromptu stop while we were in town for a concert. Very low-key, but fun staff and good local wines. Felt like the place to be!

The location is a bit out of town, but worth the drive. The site offers a great outdoor patio overlooking a small lake. They allow outside food and picnicking while tasting. Dogs are also welcome on the patio. The interior is clean, but dated. Service is always very good, but can be slow when they are busy, because there is typically only one person serving. Wine is also very good, but not exceptional. Our favorite is their Barbera. Tasting is a bit pricey for the wine quality and price point, but they wave the fee for every bottle purchased. I would recommend a visit. read more

We stopped by for a quick glass of wine and had such a nice experience. We met Gunnar, a retired companion lab. What a smart, sweet boy. I fell in love with him, his person was lovely, the service was great, the grounds are beautiful and the whole vibe was totally chill. What an excellent facility! We love the serenity Indian Rock provides while you get to sip their divine wine. The lake is beautiful and the rainbow trout are so fun to watch. If you're lucky it's a feeding day for the fish and you'll get to see them up close. They have a beautiful grassy area with tables where you can relax in the sun or under an umbrella. They even allow you to bring your own picnic items. Their covered patio is surrounded by growing vines which depending on the season provide various scenery. The staff were all amazing. Jim was helping us with our tasting that day and he is so friendly and knowledgeable about the wine. Honestly one of the nicest people we've encountered at any of the wineries in the area. Highly recommend and will definitely be back when we are in the area. read more

We came here upon recommendation from Stevenot. I wish I could give a review for the wines here, but sadly we were there for nearly half an hour and were never served any wine. I entered the tasting room by myself and took my time looking at the various knickknacks for sale. The gal behind the bar finally acknowledged me so I told her that my hubby and I would be sharing a tasting. She told us to find a place outside and she would be with us. We were sharing a sandwich and by the time we finished eating, still no wine. There was one party of 6 who left shortly after we sat down and another party of 2 who was there before us. The party of two was served but we never were. I hate to say this but I'm going to; the other patrons were Caucasian and we weren't. There are plenty of places to buy wine in the area, so we left. Pretty surroundings, but I don't appreciate being ignored. read more

It's fun. Good wine. Friendly staff. Sorta kid friendly - maybe or maybe not. They have a pretty large outside area with a nice sized pond with lots of ducks. They also have a small bridge that goes over some natural drainage. So, the space is nice for kids; however, there are quite a few hazards to pay attention to with kids. Like the ducks themselves, duck poop, and the water. There are lots of wineries in the generally area, this has a cool outside area. The wine itself....well we ended up buying a bottle just to make the tasting free. I forgot the exact details, but I want to say the tasting was $18 and if you buy a bottle of wine the tasting is free. So we opted to spend $21 or $22 to get a "free" tasting. I'm not a wine connoisseur. I'm a wine "consumer". IMO nothing was amazing, and nothing was terrible. It was all drinkable :-) read more

I showed up to Indian Rock mid-week in July 2022 during a heatwave. I was traveling solo and staying at an Airbnb in Arnold. There were no other patrons while I was there which was nice because my dog promptly plopped down under the misters on their amazingly cool patio and was content to sleep while I tasted. The winery is located east of Highway 4 in a country type neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Murphys. Great wines as well! read more

We had a fun afternoon at Indian Rock a few weeks back. We sat by the pond on a sunny day and enjoyed the tasting, watching the ducks and fishes. Tasting is 20$ pp and the pours were definitely on the smaller side compared to what I have experienced at other vineyards in Sonoma/Paso Robles but the wine was delicious. We weren't really briefed about where the wines we were sampling came from or their flavor profile, this was more of a casual setting. We ended up getting 4 bottles and decided to have a picnic in the garden under the trees in the property and had a bottle opened. Staff is friendly however do note that tastings are subject to a 1 hour limit and they did ask us to wrap up when it started getting busy even though we had purchased 4 bottles and wanted to enjoy it on the property. read more

Beautiful winery with very friendly hosts. There is ample parking and the tasting can be enjoyed on the lawn or the covered patio. We opted for the lawn by the fountain. The flight we opted for showcased their white and red wines. The red wines are skewed towards Italian grape varietal. After the tasting we enjoyed a bottle of Barbera at the winery. The tasting fee is waived off if you buy a bottle of wine. The tasting was leisurely. You can bring your own food or buy cheese and crackers from the tasting room. read more

This was our first stop during my friend's bachelorette weekend. We started off with a tasting, $10 that is waived with the purchase of a bottle. We all enjoyed the crisp easy drinking whites and it was a hot day. We decided to purchase a few bottles and have a picnic lunch at the tables outside. I love this place!! Great wines, lovely people and just the most beautiful setting. This was our second visit and is now a must stop on our annual trip to Murphys. We enjoyed a bottle of their Chardonnay out by the pond and it was so serene and peaceful. The grounds here are perfect for picnicking as well as for larger groups of friends and family. The tasting room is super cute with some snacks for purchase as well as a lot of fun jewelry and other merchandise that would make for fun souvenirs. This was our favorite winery in Murphy's! It was a beautiful sunny day and we loved sitting out here with our golden retriever the white staff was really friendly and it was easy to come in get your tasting sit down and try them at your own pace you don't need to be served everything is brought out all at once so you can taste at your own timing and then buy a bottle of your favorite which is what we did. We will definitely be back because we love the views and how all all of the spots to say or either partly shaded or sunny so best of both worlds read more

This winery was good, but nothing standing out as awesome and 4/5 star worthy. 2 of shared a tasting to find out what we liked enough to buy a bottle of to share outside- 8 tastings and only liked 2 of them enough, but not in love with it either. We bought the Rosé and shared on the patio which is nice and directly facing the pond they have. They gave kids buckets of fish food to feed the big fish in there. Lots of geese in there too. Sign said dog friendly outside so we didn't try taking them inside- but saw a cat in there. Thursday free tastings, but honestly I wouldn't come back to this winery when there are so many other good wines in the area. read more

I never miss stopping by Indian Rock Vineyards as it is so unique, and soooo..GOOD! Everything they make kind of has the Midas touch. I would give them so many GOLD medals due to making everything so desirable and delicious. It's fun in the tasting room and don't miss out of not only an amazing taste but check out the wall for all those cool bling blings that sparkle like diamonds in the sky. I love the Blackberry Pie as I grew up in Kentucky, and spent summers picking them. My Momma, made the most delicious blackberry pies that people would stand in line to get some. It's the same feeling I get here at Indian Rock, when I drink it. I see myself, picking the berries and Momma, in the kitchen ..making them pies. The lawn was for wine club members and there's limited seating for non wine club members so keep that in mind. This winery is our absolute favorite in the county. We are always greeted with the best service. We stopped in on Sunday to get out of the house during the power outages. Wendy waited on us and was amazing as always! They also had no power but still managed very well to serve on all of the customers and get us everything we needed and requested. This venue is very kid friendly as it has a very large outdoor area, cornhole, picnic tables, etc. We got to meet the new manager who had come from Frogs Tooth winery and he was very friendly. They even had our favorite wine, BlackBerry Pie, up for the tasting! We will always come back to this winery time and time again. read more

My husband and I stopped by the winery this last weekend and Wendy was so friendly and nice, the power had been out all day but she was so accommodating and served us both a nice glass of wine. The setting is beautiful. The wines are good but the staff needs an attitude adjustment. I have been here 3 times I. the six times I have been here in the past 6 months. The first time the young lady was charming which made me want to come back. The past 2 times the lady talking to us about the tasting is just put out to be pouring.
