Milliaire Winery is a local treasure ... their sparkling wines are crisp and refreshing and the port is delicious. Linda is a fabulous hostess - she instantly makes you feel welcome and cared for, and then follows up with fun conversation. Milliare hosts special events throughout the year. The spring fashion show (organized by Linda) was so much fun! We sat on the patio and enjoyed wine and antipasto boxes while watching models showcase fashions from local dress shops. A fun wine tasting experience downtown! I'm very thankful they served us a quick tasting even though we arrived around 4:45 pm and they close at 5 pm! We tried a few wines and had our tasting fees waived when we bought two bottles. We bought a Barbera even though it wasn't on the tasting menu and it was delicious! I wish we'd bought more than one bottle of that. Our three kids were with us and being a little bit rambunctious but nobody seemed to mind. I saw some cute items for sale that I was somewhat tempted to buy too (but resisted). read more

We choose this winery because of the ambience - sounds of running water, and this was one of a few wineries opened on Mondays. Great way to spend a lazy afternoon. We were pleasantly surprised with their wine offerings. Winemaker grandson was our host for the day. Very knowledgeable of the process and where grapes were sourced.
