WAY too much fun here! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Amazing wines and equally amazing prices. Our server, Linda, was an absolute joy to chat with, and was such a gracious host. She was very attentive to our party throughout the whole experience. It's safe to say that this was not be the last time we taste here, and we look forward to seeing Linda again! Thank you Milliaire! read more

A group of us walked into Milliaire to taste and we were lucky to be able to sit in the outdoor seating area under fig trees. The seating area backs up to the little Murphy town creek, it's really pleasant. I can only imagine what it's like in the Spring! Our server was Linda, she is sweet and kind. By the end of visit we wanted to adopt her into the family along with our tote with 6 bottles of wine! Between Linda and the wine, it was hard to decide what we liked more. Talk about a great pairing. The great thing is we don't have to decide. We made a friend AND we got 6 bottles of wine. What a great experience! Well done Milliaire on the wine, especially the Sparkling - my favorite, AND hiring Linda, she is such a dear sweet lady. We will be back! read more

Best winery in the state based on my opinion!! We found this gem of a winery in downtown Murphys, CA. I really enjoy the Ghiradelli Zinfandels they produce. The Clockspring Zin is nice as well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable but not stuffy. They have a nice little patio to the rear for tasting and a small view of the river that runs through Murphys. Please stop in. We joined their Wine Club and can't wait for the next delivery. read more

Linda is a spectacular host. Funny, educated and overall a great vibe for our couples trip to the winery. She is a great hostess and kept our glasses full while also maintaining hospitality for other visitors. She ensured we had an amazing time. Will most definitely visit again. read more

Converted gas station turned into wine tasting room? Check. Patio right next to a creek so you can see & hear the running water while you taste wine? Check. Informative pourer? Triple check. The patio here, on a beautiful day, is where it's at. And the fact that it's waterside really kills it. The level of expertise that the pourer demonstrated was beyond impressive. The thing is, having the tasting done on the patio (thus at a table), as opposed to inside, made it feel more like waiter service & less like a tasting. It's certainly not a negative, it just gave it a different feel. My favorite here was their Gewurtztraminer. Loved the patio, & the excellent service. 4 stars. read more

Milliare is a hidden gem. From the fabulous staff to the charming setting by the creek, be sure to put Milliare on your wine tasting agenda. From their sparkling wine to the robust Zin and Syrah, you won't be disappointed. read more

Don't miss this winery as you are strolling through town. As a local, I've been coming here for years and so enjoy the upbeat and intelligent staff, and of course, the delicious wines. Try their Touriga, a well-balanced red wine that is just superb. They have recently hired Jim...he is so friendly, service-oriented, funny, and adds to the incredible ambience and personality of Milliaire. They have a lively tasting room with a creek side patio. Do not miss this experience. read more

We had a lovely time at Milliare and will return! Yummy wines, free tastings and reasonably priced if interested in purchasing. We were stopped in here on the way up to the house and once again on the way home. Needed to buy another bottle. As we tasted wines, we were engaged in conversation with our server, Janar. We spoke about Murphys, wines, travel and she told us about the upcoming events. She took the time to speak with my kids and shared some stories with them Ahhhh, peace while I taste! We ended up purchasing some of the Merlot and Chardonnay which they had on sale! The chardonnay will be perfect for my summer reading under the apple tree. read more

Milliaire Winery - Try the Triumph if they have it, you'll love it! - Wineries Near Me - Murphys, California

The wines here were just ok overall, but we did have one favorite between the two of us who were tasting. Our host had to repour our sparkling wine because it was flat by the time she brought it over. We came in during the COVID-19 transition so they poured our tasting wine into small disposible cups and brought it out to us to self serve. I didn't particularly like this method after having been to the other wineries and seeing how everyone else was doing their tastings. Putting the wine into waxy disposible cups just feels tacky, especially for wine tasting. It cheapens the idea of your wines. Just a tip for the owners. We did purchase a bottle of their 2016 merlot based on taste, but the tasting experience was not that great. read more
