I've been going to Millers as a kid (their former location on Wilcrest and Westheimer) and always make a stop here when I'm on this side of town. A nostalgic, old fashioned Mushroom Swiss with all their fixings is the only way to get it. Made fresh to order with basic but high-quality ingredients, even 30+ years later, still takes me back every single time. Don't let the looks fool you as it's no ordinary, stale biker bar. This place is rich in history and if you take a closer look at the pictures, you'll see three generations of hard working Americans making a beautiful and delicious living.

I should have turned away just from the smell. Unfortunately we opted for some burgers instead of Subway. Should have just asked for a refund! The cashier was super rude and kept cutting us off when we told her what we wanted on our burger. Also why is it so dark inside? I mean I get saving money on your lights, but not like this. Should have just wait for happy hour anywhere else and I mean anywhere! First and last time here!

When I walked in I honestly did not like the way the restaurant smelled but I decided to go ahead and order. The interior gave old roadside vibes. The lady was pleasant at the register though and it was a simple ordering process. The burger was pretty good. Standard home style burger. I was full when I left so no complaints. The burger was pretty big and the onion rings were also good. I had a single bacon cheeseburger with mustard, lettuce, tomato, I think mayo, and I onion. I wish I would have asked for extra mayo or mustard but I just used the ketchup from the table. There are no frills but like I said I was satisfied. I will say it was a little pricey for what you get. I might come back and try another menu item.

Everything is crafted to your liking and incredibly fresh. They offer Pepsi products, served from the fountain, which is pretty good, and you can also find Dr Pepper. Alongside their burgers, there's a wide range of other choices, including vegetarian selections. Local beer and wine are always on hand for those looking to indulge. It's a relaxed spot where you order at the counter and then find a seat. I absolutely adore this place; it's a true Houston classic.

Great decor. Great atmosphere. Hamburger was good, onion rings were good. Staff was amiable. Cool hang. This would be a great place to make a movie. Menu choices were plentiful. 3830 N Shepherd Dr, Houston, TX 77018 Old style. Cool You can order a triple cheeseburger here. Healthy stuff too. Chili. Located in: Garden Oaks Shopping Cente

Sweet Potato fries $3.75 - yum! Very crispy. Not greasy. We shared.

Bacon cheeseburger $13 - our preferred burger (cashier recommended this). Bacon was very crispy. Patties are actually flavorful. (I don't like the places where they make it about the toppings.) Soft bun, although I wish it was toasted a bit. Fresh veggies. Mushroom Swiss burger $13 - also very good. Burgers are huge BTW. I may have eaten a little more than half. They're not cheap, but they don't ask for tip. (They only have a cash tip jar.) So I guess the burgers are about $11. Sweet Potato fries $3.75 - we shared this. They were hot and very crispy, not oily at all. We were the only customers dining in. It has a bar atmosphere, and it's dark and a little dingy tbh, but the workers are friendly, and the food is good. We saw a handful of people who ordered pick-up. We only stopped by bc we live down the street and i saw good reviews, but from the outside, I would never just walk in.

Been told to come try their burgers. Keep in mind I'm not a burger fan so my review might not be as accurate. Location: shopping strip Parking: lots Staff: great, very friendly and honest Wait time: none Price: a bit on high end with add ons Taste: my son said they were tasty, I did try a small kids burger and it was decent. Location definitely has a vintage old diner look. I would try again. Seating: both indoor and outdoor (also has a bar seating area)

About a week ago...I placed an order over the phone from the parking lot... they said 10-15 mins. I waited 10mins and went to pickup my order 2 burgers, sweet potato fries and onion rings. I had heard good things about this place so of course I had a few expectations. The burger was cold (I at least expected it to be warm) and the fries were limp... the onion rings were nice and crispy. The service was very friendly and I was happy to see staff wearing masks and they had hand sanitizer available. There is plenty of parking in the shared lot. Unfortunately, the food was lack luster.

I come here sometimes. Basically whenever it's Miller time. This is a good burger place and an underrated one that flies under the radar. Houston doesn't have a huge amount of great burgers, but this is one of the better ones for sure. Sure, Lankford is the gold standard, and there are several other excellent ones, but this is a place I'll definitely return to, and somewhere that I'll come back in future.

    No food left behind.

I had opted for a beef burger with a side of chili cheese tater tots to share. The burger is quite large and filled generously with whatever add-ins you check off so it was very filling for me. I went with two 2oz patties, but considering the size, I'd opt for a single 2 oz patty if I go back. For my burger I also added scallion aioli which didn't have a strong green onion flavor but was still nice and added creaminess to the burger overall. The tater tots were super crispy, and the chili cheese topping was nice. I had gone shortly after they opened and it wasn't super busy but it started to quickly fill up around 11:30-12. Decent amount of tables and good parking situation outside

To start off with a positive, I thought the falafel patty had a really great taste and was absolutely the highlight of the burger. But outside of that the burger and the toppings I ordered just didn't work as well as I would've liked. I ordered my burger with mushrooms and sauteed onions, both toppings I know I absolutely love from making burgers at home and from other spots, but neither added much. At first I was worried that the falafel was overpowering them both but upon eating them by themselves they just lacked taste. We also got the scallion aioli on the burger and I never got a hint of it at any point. All in all, the burger was very much mediocre outside of the patty. We also got fries with the burger and while they absolutely had some potential they were extremely over seasoned. Any appreciation for the seasonings in a vacuum was immediately overshadowed by how salty they were. We also ordered the Sambal Mayo as a dipping sauce and while it did help subdue the insane salt level and overall tasted quite good, upon writing this review I found out by looking at their online menu that it contained some amount of shrimp. This information is nowhere to be seen on the ordering slip and wasn't mentioned when I handed it over to the person working at the cash register. And while I definitely accept some level of responsibility for not doing my due diligence and asking or letting them know of my dietary restrictions, it's still an extremely frustrating thing to have happen as both a vegetarian and someone with a mild shellfish allergy. If for whatever reason the online menu is out of date or I missed an obvious indication of it containing shrimp somewhere I am more than happy to edit my review.

There were no other customers at the time, but that's to be expected for a slow Monday. The menu is quite simple with just 4 different entrees, 3 different ways to order fries, and a few soft drink options in a cold case. Everything here is a la carte but there is a combo option where you can save about $3 off the regular menu pricing. I chose the "Double Good" and added a patty for $3 more figuring the patties are most likely very thin. The burger comes with lettuce, onion tomato, pickles and special sauce. I subbed the American for Swiss, but the Swiss ended up being a Swiss-American blend, so it tasted mostly like American cheese which I hate. I keep having bad luck with Swiss lately. The patty is about 1/4 lb and tastes similar to a home cooked burger. I ended up setting the burger down and just eating the patty with a fork since I didn't like the taste of the cheese, sauce, or the entire burger as a whole after a handful of bites. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried it but this is not a burger I would come back for, especially at this price point.

A standard smashed Double cheeseburger and generous extra crispy impressively seasoned waffle fries as you want it cost $16 which is fair since adding the fries vs standalone burger is only $1 price differential. Clutch City Grill sits next to Burger Chan (the most recent title holder of best burger for my son) but this Sunday, they were not open so we tried the one we didn't try last time--CCG. And let me just say that this place tucked away inside a collective indoor food concession aka The Conservatory Galleria, has every right to boldly don the clutch city burger title. Inside this perfectly grilled almost Hawaiian role type hint of sweet homemade bun is a masterclass of burger perfection, made right in front of you and to your liking based on your selections from the order tap screens. While, waiting, I looked at everything I didn't order as it was being served and I'm almost certain that anything you order at CCG is delicious. Presentation is superb because others were sitting with large selections in front of them that caused me a bit of buyers remorse--I couldn't decide. The vibe is chill enough to talk to the grill master while my son was figuring out his massive burger order--he randomly had a hash brown added to a patty melt. And ordered something to take home or in case one order wasn't enough for the teen appetite. But the food is massive. I cannot stress that enough. Portions of everything there are beyond generous from what we saw and this is the kind of place where there's delivery guys picking up, people working on their laptops and the average joe grabbing takeout after work as well as families having dinner but not crowded. We sat and reflected on a great shopping day in a chill environment and reminisced on the old days of Galleria area last minute back to school night before/we should do this more type of memories in the making. The take something to go plus my own leftover (cutting the burger in half is an open from the order touch screen) and it passed the ultimate test of being really good cold the next day. This place begs the question--where is everybody? I can't be the only one who knows about it. But also was inviting enough to silently confirm that I think we've found our place. One that even has a cool bathroom with a mirror that says "you look amazing." Exactly how you're going to feel about the food that looks even better than it does in its promo photos
