My friends and I dined in at Miller's on a Sunday night after we watched my friend do stand-up comedy and our server was a rockstar the way that he was running the entire section with multiple tables. I wish I remembered his name! It was the evening of March 15th! We ordered the boom boom shrimp and the potstickers and I ordered the fiesta bowl with shrimp and chicken. Everything was very flavorful and our food came out within 20 minutes of ordering. We asked a couple of times if we could change the TV next to our table to put on the USA baseball game and unfortunately we never were able to get that changed. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out just right the grilled chicken was well-seasoned and juicy, and the pasta had a rich, creamy sauce that paired perfectly with the garlic bread. Super Bowl chicken wing party. We arrived around 5pm and were sat right away. I was really shocked because it was superbowl Sunday. There were 5 of us and we ordered ALOT of chicken wings, appetizers, zingers Mac and cheese, burger, chicken Cajun pasta and strawberry cheesecake. The food was good, but as it became busier, the food took a bit longer to come out, which was expected on superbowl Sunday. Pros: great location for large parties to celebrate, lots of seating options, high tables, booths, friendly staff, several TVs positioned all around. A computer at tables to order more drinks at your table if your waitress is busy. Cons: super loud, don't expect to have conversations without yelling at each other. AC was on full blast, dress in layers. Staff were very friendly and courteous. We couldn't order water or soft drink refills on the computer that the waitress wanted us to utilize when they were busy. Parking was available in the back. read more

Atmosphere- great. Not loud or noisy at all. We sat at the outside bar. Food was good. No complaints. I had a mojito which was extremely mint heavy and I could not taste the rum. My only real disappointment was the service. We were only a few at the bar and the bartender kept disappearing. He was friendly when serving us but otherwise was more occupied with not being at the bar. No idea where he kept disappearing to. My recommendation is to skip a mixed drink here and go for a beer. Firecracker shrimp was delicious along with the coleslaw. It had the right amount of heat to it for me. I wasn't in love with the pretzel but it wasn't horrible either. I didn't eat the chicken did but it looked great and the friend who did order it really seemed to enjoy it. Overall, I just felt service was not excellent- hence the 4 stars. Came in for Fish n Chips, and when we saw a "dinner portion" for $17 come out, it was about 8 bites of fish! So I ordered Dad's Meatloaf remembering the good old days with Jack Miller owning Ale House, and Omar was the GM here at Winter Park. Meatloaf was so burned I couldn't eat it. Server was nice enough, but didn't offer anything, a new replacement slice or credit, ANYTHING would have been nice. Won't be returning. I miss Jack Miller and the old Miller Ale House. Miller's is not known for quick service, but this location was not bad and overall timely. The food was fantastic - the calamari is a favorite of mine. The service was overall good, though our server forgot to ring up someone's order. The manager did a great job making rounds but also stepping in to take ownership and going above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. Because the order wasn't rung in correctly, it meant multiple trips and forgotten. So training is an area that could use some improvement - another weird interaction with the server: one of us got a beautiful cocktail and when it arrived we were commenting on it and the server mentioned how she just tried it since she had never seen it made before. Then clarified by trying it she meant she took a straw to do the tip taste test, since she is training on bar. It was one of those more information was not needed, while it's definitely a standard practice (not just for training but to ensure taste) it's kind of weird to hear how someone was tasting the exact drink they were serving? Anyways, Miller's always has a fantastic menu that only rarely disappoints. It's a very casual atmosphere and a great place to meet with friends while enjoying some great food and this location was not an exception. read more

I was shopping in the area and hubby started to get hungry. In order to avoid his "hangry" mood, I suggested we try the Monday rib special at Miller's Ale House. We chose this location to try. First mistake. We ordered drinks and an appetizer - the boneless chicken tender in garlic Parmesan. Drinks were served in a few minutes, but the appetizer was slow in arriving, and it wasn't as hot as it should be (temperature wise). We ordered dinner - ribs for hubby and the Blackened shrimp & chicken Cobb salad for me. I specifically asked for NO tomatoes due to my sensitivity to tomatoes, and hubby asked for fries extra crispy as his side. Our food was delivered a bit later, and rice was on hubby's plate. When he asked for the fries, our waitress Raschelle told him he asked for rice with crispy ribs - nowhere close to what he ordered. She did get him a side of fries, but they were lukewarm. His ribs also were not as hot as they should have been. And guess what I got in my salad - yep, tomatoes that I didn't want or can eat. I alerted our waitress who questioned me as to an allergy to tomatoes. I explained that I didn't think I should explain my medical issues when I said no tomatoes and she offered me another salad. The manager also offered me a new salad, but I didn't want one. Their kitchen should be more careful in preparation. I can honestly say other locations of Miller's Ale House have been better than today's experience we had here. We won't return to this location due to the food lack of temperature and quality. read more

I decided to do a solo date for my birthday and this ale house was the closest thing open with a good menu. The staff was so nice, I was helped by Trinity and had a great conversation with a manager. I didn't like my first drink and the waitress was happy to give me time to select another drink. When I got my margarita it was a salt rim and she switched the drink out for a new one with a sugar rim. The nachos were good and the dessert was amazing. The house margarita was so yummy, I had 2! This is around the corner from me so I'll def be back! Great staff and the late night environment is really chill. Fresh out of college, I used to go to Ale House all the time. I really haven't been for dinner in years until recently. My meal exceeded my expectations and the price was right! I started with a prickly pear margarita and not only was it delicious (a little sweet) but it came with the shaker, so I got 2.5 margs out of it. No complaints there. Then I had the calamari to start. The breading was perfect, not over done, and not too much batter where you can't even taste what you ordered. I also liked the sweet thai chili dipping sauce. For my main, I had Mimi's Fiesta Chicken and Shrimp bowl. This was something delicious, filling and didn't leave you feeling guilty about what you ate. This bowl came with grilled chicken breast, with a drizzled chimichurri sauce, blackened shrimp, in a creamy spicy mayo sauce, black bean corn salsa, cilantro lime rice, and pickled red onions. I get the same thing at pretty much every Miller's I go to and this one was probably the worst out of the 3-5 I've been to. It wasn't terrible but it still felt like a chore to eat towards the end of my meal, which is an extra shame because it took like 20+ minutes to get my food and it wasn't even busy at all. Also I think they gave me half a shot for my Vodka strawberry lemonade but I can't prove that :( The host was pretty good, but my server was immediately off to a bad start when he greets me by going "Hey." He doesn't introduce himself and he doesn't ask me about drinks or appetizers or specials or whatever. Then later on, he checks on the table next to me and on his way back, he snorts like a pig and it made me pretty uncomfortable. Ambiance is fine, I guess. I came in with a group of friends to watch a football game and we had a nice experience. We got seated quickly and the atmosphere was perfect for game day. Our waitress, Jennifer was amazing. She was fast, thoughtful, and friendly. We all got Zingers. I got mine in mild sauce with fries and ranch. The fries were hot, crisp, and well seasoned. The Zingers were tender. The nachos I received were cold and nasty despite my driver being forced to wait for 20+ minutes for them to be prepared. The chips were soggy, super salty, and lacking meat. The containers of toppings (queso, jalapenos, etc) were oddly smashed like someone got angry. The onion rings were tasty but cold and the chicken sandwich was just OK, although a bit small/thin especially compared to how good it used to be in the past. Salad is not bad. Two ladies in front of me, and we were both told 5 to 10 minutes. 30 minutes later, the only thing that had changed was there was a line of 20 people and more coming in, and NO EFFORT to seat any customers. Would have gone to the bar, but the bartender never cleared any seats the whole 30 minutes I was waiting. While this is one of my least favorite millers in the Orlando area, it was still a delicious meal. We ordered chips and pico for an appetizer. It took about 20 minutes to come out and ended up giving us homemade chips (like potato chips) to go with the pico. Really? Who wants to eat potato chips with salsa? Thankfully they fixed it and got us tortilla chips like they should have in the first place. After that our waitress was very good. In fact, we walked out last time after waiting almost fifteen minutes to put in drink orders just as our neighboring tables started erupting into confrontational consternation over the same thing. Really didn't want to write this review but after this experience had to. Look This place is a joke don't waste your money! . Went there for a simple early dinner at 5:45 at the main bar. We ordered 3 drinks to start and an entree and an appetizer salad , and a clam chowder . It wasn't that busy but this got bad quickly- in the almost 2 hours we were there we were basically there trying to establish who was following up on the service . Food service was terrible , our besides the appetizer salad coming out drinks were fine but we got no return visit on anything to check and see how any of the food was the entree was cold and the clam chowder was never placed in. After telling them about it someone forgot to enter it there was ZERO rush from anyone including. Their kitchen to get that sad bowl of chowder out . What was more insulting was man after telling them they didn't rush at all finally here comes the chowder looking like someone had to take it out of a can and microwave it no crackers or napkin just sad !! and when it finally came out it looked like a shot glass amount of chowder in a small bowl and there was zero accounting for it. And even though it was Left off the bill it went untouched as the presentation and time just said something more about the place and don't get us started on the obviously bad manager she was struggling you can tell. but even AFTER telling the manager about it it was the " we are so sorry and yes blah blah " excuse but no credit no "what can we do to take make it right " l I think it's because she doesn't have any real authority and this entire crew looks young and inexperienced. I've been coming to ale house for a long time and this one in particular since it was built. Service is always pretty good but the food is always hit and miss and I mean it misses 3/4 of the time and the other quarter it's great. I find myself coming back because I crave some zingers only to be disappointed when they come out without sauce, which I don't understand how that happens, or when the fries come out stale. I've went several times over the last couple weeks and only had one time where the food was just spot on. During the lunch rush it takes about an hour to sit down, order immediately, get the food and get out. However, when I go and nobody is there, it takes the same amount of time if not longer.
