Marty is the best bartender, I look for him every time! I'm very disapointed they took seafood mac and cheese off the menu it was literally the best dish they have. As far as service goes I prefer going during the week, the weekends get too packed for me. The patio is big and spacious, plenty of seating. read more

The waitress was good, food was also good. Two men (black male & white male) on the Management team was seen greeting people at their table but did not greet my boyfriend and I. Thought that was a bit odd but otherwise good spot. read more

Our waiter was really nice and he had sparkling charming eyes, service was fast, food great.

Could be better. Seems like a glorified sports bar. I like it there except for one major thing - the service SUCKS. the two times we went there one weekend and one weeknight we had to order multiple drinks at a time because you would stand at the bar for half an hour while bartenders smile and walk past you. This place might be ok once they settle down and hire more people. they NEED more bartenders every single night. I wont go back just because of how slow the service is. Since drinks were average and soooo slow I didn't even think to try the food there, my friend did and said it was ok. Place gets packed early and doesn't clear out till almost close. If you go get ready to stand the entire time and wait forever for any type of service, basically like a hoboken bar in paramus. read more

Well I have to say the miller is as it should be. the food is your typical fast and easy kind of items.. Because what is a drink without something to eat, but when its dry seemly frozen fish does not make for a great experience. Our server was ok, but he was all over the place, like a chicken with its head cut off... My friends and I also felt as if we over stayed our time there because the host and management kept coming over and mugging the table to see if we had order anything, which we had.. My biggest issue with Millers Ale is the concept or mission statement. If your going to build an establishment with the a focus on drinks, something to eat, and lounging there should not be any reason why the staff makes the clinetel feel rushed their attitude and or body language read more

This place had a great opportunity and I like how spacious it is. My reason for 1 star is that I have been there 3 times and each time I had trouble getting service to my table even after asking for help from employees standing around. They stated that the waitor/waitress for that section would be there shortly. This is unacceptable. The wings were decent but nothing amazing. I miss the movie theatre that was here. read more

I was just there yesterday- food is horrible, Both my friend and I now have food poisoning. Food is not fresh. I do not recommend eating there. The drinks are cheap and good. So I would only go to have drinks. As for service, you are better off serving yourself at home. We had no silverware and it took a half hour to get. Server only stopped once and we couldn't even find her when we needed the check. read more

Average at best. Drinks are cheap, which is good, but with that comes patrons who are just annoying to hang out around. Not a bad place at all, but too many other places in the area with better food and service. read more

after waiting over a half hour for our table we were finally seated only to wait another 10 minutes for our waiter and yet another 15 minutes for our drink order. Finally we put in our food order out of the 5 plates ordered the vegetables were cold on 4 of them. It took forever to get a drink refill and paying the bill was just as long. Overall the food was not as good as I first experienced i would stick to the appetizer or burger menu it seems to be the best thing they offer. read more

I just joined yelp due to a TERRIBLE dining experience and figured I would point out an excellent one. I like Miller for their bar scene and fair prices but sometime struggle with table availability in that they allow squatters to take up space who don't seem to be spending money. On the night of a recent storm I went there to meet a buddy and sat at the bar (only place open i might add). I, not the bartended, made an ordering mistake and I asked them to leave it on my tab but to replace the order with the appropriate items. I was scolded by the manager who brought out the new order and said ABSOLUTELY not would be allow you to pay for the first order. It was my mistake and they were super cool about it. Great service goes a long way with me and should with others as well. read more

Worst bar experience ever. Worst bartenders ever. Impossible to get a drink. Bartenders seem to only help their friends. On top of that, we ordered shots of whiskey which were obviously watered down. When we complained to the manager, he got us another shot of watered down whiskey straight from the bottle. Chain restaurants should NOT rip people off. I will not be returning. read more

nice place to go watch a fight, have a drink, and to hang out with friends. food isnt great, drink prices doesnt seem to be jersey prices. in my honest opinion, its like an applebee's. if its after 10pm and youre looking for a place to hang out, applebees is probably the place to go. less crowded with sports go-ers. some locations have mutiple flat screens everywhere for sport watchers. many other options you can choose from read more

Nice place and friendly service. Food was average as wings were good but I thought burger very average and salmon just so so. I would go back but really no plans anytime soon read more

Went here yesterday to watch football with some friends. Tracy, our server, was one of the nastiest people I ever encountered. She has absolutely no class. She was continually flirting with both men and women Very strange character for sure. She made us very uncomfortable. Food was pretty good for bar food. Would probably go back. Good place to watch football if you don't mind it being loud and crowded. But would not want to be at her table again! read more

Went to Miller's Ale House last week and had a great waitress Alex G, she was on point with the menu and was super friendly and very attentive. She recommended zingers and the flatbread which hit the spot. We definitely will be back to see her, I suggest you do as well. read more

Alex, our server - she was AWESOME!!!! Food.... Not so much though. I ordered mini burgers, they were burned. I've had their ribs several times & those are excellent!!!!!..... I shoulda stuck with my usual. Oh well. read more

Went for dinner with my friend and it was packed. The hostess told us to follow her to a table which was already occupied. We stood around the bar for 15 minutes till she found us a table. Service was okay. Food needed improvement; I had the steak fajitas. I got the patron pineapple cocktail which did not have any pineapple in it. Told the waitress to fix it and she didn't. It was a disappointing first experience. read more

While millers has great food and exceptional drinks one thing I did not enjoy was the service . I had came in a few months back with my boyfriend and our coworkers at night after a late night shift , and we had a server named heather, who to this day I still can't believe her service . Not only did she forget our second round of drinks we constantly had to ask other servers to get her while the other servers were extremely helpful , she was not barely making eye contact and even rolling her eyes when I asked for no cheese on my zinger salad (which is amazing ! ) .it wasn't even busy in the restaurant or either bar area and our group was only a party of 6 . When the check came we all paid in cash on the same check that way she didn't have to do separate checks which I know could be annoying. As we were leaving (my boyfriend and I were the first to go ) she comes up to him and says the rest of your group only left me 15% can you tell them to leave more . I was in complete shock not only because she did not know me or my boyfriend but as working as a waitress a while back I would never even go up to a guest that I didn't know and say give me more money for mediocre service. My boyfriend was just as in shock as I was and asked his friends to leave her more money . We haven't been back since read more

I've been here a few times. It takes an awful long time to get a beer. I've given it a few chances, but can't say I'm too impressed. The food is so so...more like a food chain place. read more

Ultimately, the food and drinks were top notch. Now, i had already left the bar but tried to go back in just to go to the atm, which the bouncer female at the front allowed me to do. After exiting, I asked why the Asian bouncer was so aggressive, which prompted him (I guess he overhead, since he was eavesdropping, and decided to jump right in) to come body slam me on to the ground. Needless to say, short of filing a police report, I will not be going back here. read more

Last night was my first visit to a Millers Ale House (Paramus). Very nice atmosphere and we were seated in a large booth...nice. Having viewed the menu on line, we had a good idea of what we wanted to sample. I ordered one of my "go to" ales - Sam Adams Rebel, to quench my thirst. Wow, what a surprise.. It had a taste and cloudiness like I have never experienced. Much to my chagrin, it had a spicy smell and taste. Nothing like I have ever tasted in previous sessions. The waitress told me it must be a "dirty" line. That's not a good thing for a newly opened Ale House! But, knowing the beer.... I thought I was poured from the wrong tap. I was very disappointed and told her to just bring me a draft Bud. She returned with a poured glass. When I asked for another... they brought me a "bottle"! I didn't realize Bud wasn't on tap and wondered why I wasn't told initially...were they trying to fool me by pouring out of the bottle, I hope not. When I attempted to talk to the waitress, she told me she "really had to take care of the booth" behind me. She basically greeted them, took their order and disappeared for quite some time. Upon her return I said I did not want the beer and was upset with her not taking the time to hear that I needed my leftovers wrapped and make check request. Either she was overwhelmed with her tables, or was lacking some favorable qualities of a good waitress. I think the later. On the brighter side, the food and portions were excellent. I will return to review other menu items and request a different waitress. One thing I didn't understand was why there was only 1 small slice of lemon and 1 small cocktail sauce that was served with "35" nice sized fried shrimp... Same for the fish and chips! But, a Manager came by for a meet and greet and promptly returned with additional condiments. The other items we sampled exceeded our expectations and prompted us to overlook the poor service that this waitress was delivering. She just seemed in a rush with no real concern for the Customer (except for the table behind us - which had more people). Totally changed my dining experience... And, this was a Wednesday night, around 6:30 PM, Deena J was the waitress and we were seated at table #24. Not a pleasant first impression. read more

We were seated quickly even on a Saturday night , food was good and our server was very friendly and helpful. It's huge inside, not very "homey" could use a little more character. read more

This is a terrific place. Even though it's a chain the staff is consistent and stable and it doesn't have a chain feel. Not much turnover in regards to the bartenders and they are all very friendly and knowledgeable. They remember you, shake your hand, know what you drink and serve it lightning fast. Tons of TV's, they will not hesitate to put whatever you want on. The food is definitely above average as well, their salads are great, Osobucco is becoming legendary. read more

Ate here for lunch today. The best way I can describe Millers Ale House is AVERAGE. Similar to a Fridays or Applebee's with a better beer selection. Food was OK; nothing special. In an area where there are so many great restaurants, this one does not stand out. Staff was attentive, but awkward. Basic beer list with no explanation of what beers tasted like. The beer selection is good, but I would have liked to find something new to try by reading a more detailed beer menu or some sort of drink specials. The Yard House in West Nyack NY blows this place away! I am guessing that they are one of Millers Ale House's main competitors, but I would rather drive into NY for a great meal, knowledgable staff, and great atmosphere. I won't return to Miller's, not because I am unhappy; but I expect more out of a "beer centered" restaurant. Parking lot was packed; not because of the bar, but because of a gym next door. The restaurant was basically empty, but a parking spot was difficult to find. read more

the food is typical bar food, nothing spectacular.. but the price of everything is more than reasonable. also plenty of seating to accommodate larger groups. good for games and fights, though food wise not my first choice, but you definitely get the best bang for your buck! read more

Don't know why I keep going back and giving the place a third fourth and fifth chance. Every time I have gone it has been consistently terrible. I can't knock it for the beer selection but every time I go the food is lousy and the service is worse. No matter what I order, it seems to be bland tasting, improperly cooked, or simply missing dressing on the salad. How can you mess up a salad? And even then the salad isn't great. It's a step above something I would make at home myself. The way the place looks you expect so much better, like a Fridays or Houlihan's but it's always lousy unfortunately. Then this last occasion, my server Roberto felt it was OK to joke and curse with another server a few feet away from my table where my kids were sitting and other tables where they were children. I am by no means stuck up, but when you are at a restaurant, that language should not happen. So that was the last visit for me. Keep your F bombs for the streets. read more

My coworker and I have come to this location many times because surprisingly, a sports bar has good crab legs. Last night, when our plates were brought out, my plate literally had half the amount of crab that hers did. I politely asked to speak to the manager because I knew that this was not our waitress' fault but wanted to point out how disproportionate the servings were being sent out of the kitchen for literally the same meal. When the manager arrived he began arguing that I had the proper serving size, but they must've given my coworker more than what she was paying for (one cluster only had 2 out of 5 legs on it and the second had 3 out of 5 so clearly something was not accurate). I had one similar incident like this a previous time and the manager at that time was very accommodating and rectified the situation. The manager last night, Mark F., did not become accommodating until I made mention of the proper service we received from another member of their staff. I also didn't appreciate from the location where we were seated that we could hear our waitress talking smack about our table because I asked to speak with the manager. The tune changed completely after I asked for his name and was then offered a free dessert (which we did not cash in). I can only assume the free dessert offer was in hopes to silence the possibility of the poor review I have just given. read more

My family and I went to this location after a function in Hackensack. There was a good number of us around 15. We knew there would be a wait since it was a Saturday and late. We varied in age from 17-38. There was a UFC fight on. They had 2 lines at the door and had people checking id's, if you were 21 and over you got a bracelet if not they put a description of you through a walkie talkie to people inside. My 17 year old cousin almost got a bracelet if she hadnt told them that wasnt 21!! I can go on and tell a very detailed story but the point is this establishment was an issue from the door. Next is the hostess, whose job is to make sure that people get seated as quickly as possible in a friendly manner And give information as accurate as possble (ex: time, follow up etc). Then when Management gets involved find out the WHOLE situation and deal with it appropriately and professionally (this applies to the hostesses too). Its called customer service!! Next the bouncers, who apparently like to be physically abusive when its not needed. If you can't have self control and can't take getting yelled at because you placed your hands to kick them out for speaking and trying to explain the situation to upper management then find another job. The bouncers did not make it safe for people inside and it seems as though this is a regular practice for bouncers at this location. I was pushed and my ankle was stepped on when an altercation happened, if I was one step back I would have been in the ground. So at all levels there was a wrong that created a situation which could have been prevented. this location needs a new team or new management to apply Miller's statement of "provide an excellent restaurant experience that is dedicated to fast and friendly service, superior food quality and value". This all depends on how corporate stands behind that statement!! I truly hope that when reading these reviews corporate takes this seriously and handles situations appropriately and since I have worked in customer service for over 20 years and don't support places that show disrespect and lack of service in different levels I will not be supporting this establishment going forward. As well as advise any of my friends to no longer go here who regularly hold their football drafts and other events as well. So i guess im glad we didnt give $700+ (most likely more like $1k bc of the alcohol) to this location. read more

Recently went here for the second time and I will never go back! My husband and I went with another couple on a Saturday night. I went inside to give my name and the hostess asked if we wanted to sit outside, at a booth, or a high top. I replied a booth. She said about 30 mins. We went outside to wait. When our number flashed we went inside and she was going to seat us outside I said no I wanted a booth. She said about another 15-20 min!! Ridiculous. We proceeded back outside.. I was pissed. I looked at my husband and said go fix this. He is the type that will open his mouth when something isn't right. Which was a good thing in this situation. He wen inside and came back and said we were next to be seated so back in we went. The 3 hostesses were chatting away as I watched my table be cleared right behind them. They kept chatting so I asked "is this our table, can we please sit?" She replied "oh yeah go ahead".. Really? This place has no way of doing things and all the workers have no clue what's going on. Aside from that.. My "filet mignon" was over cooked and did not even look like a filet mignon. My friend finished only half her meal ask for it to be wrapped our waiter said he would bring a box...time passed and he kept walking by our table with NO BOX. When we ordered dessert we asked for a box again and when we brought our dessert he said he forgot so I handed him the plate and said can we have this wrapped! This was a horrible night and I will NEVER be back. Food horrible, service horrible, workers clueless. I thought this was suppose to be such a great place. Well they are wrong! read more
