Where do I start with this awful place. Our experience started off good, the Asian hostess was really cool and friendly. When the waitress finally decided to show up, she already looked in a horrible mood (Blond Hair). My friend was the first to order, she immediately asked for our IDs, and began asking him his bday. Keep in my mind we are traveling from PA, staying in NJ, to experience NYC. Then once she saw we all had PA IDs, she said I need to take them to the manager. The manager comes over after 5 minutes and begins telling us our IDs are fake because they are different colors. We asked him to scan them but said he didn't have a scanner. What kind of place that serves alcohol, doesn't have a scanner? I did not appreciate being looked at and talked to like I was a child. Come here for the atmosphere and the drink specials, NOT the food. The pretzel tasted like it was frozen and then they put greasy butter on top of it. The wings also taste frozen and soggy and the cheesesteak was subpar at best-too much bread, not enough meat. I go here because of all the TVs during a big game or for the outside bar which sometimes has a DJ. It is a sports bar so don't expect more than that here. Best bar in Paramus! There are two bars separated with a wall. Both have multiple tvs to watch your favorite sports game, but the second one is more like a club on the weekends with a DJ and cool lights! You can eat at a regular booth or table, outside during the summer, or at either of the bars. The bartenders are always so friendly and there are happy hour and late-night specials. Went to Miller's for lunch before seeing a movie at the AMC in Garden State. Decent place for lunch filled with appetizer, sandwich/burger, and zinger choices. I read previously from other reviews to try the Zingers (Miller's chicken strips) and I was not disappointed. An order of Zingers comes with 5 or 6 chicken strips and your choice of a sauce. I stayed on the mild end and ordered Honey BBQ....delicious. My friend ordered the Zinger Mountain Melt (chicken strips covered in cheese, bacon, scallions) and it came with fries...again delicious! Atmosphere is great for a casual dining experience and I've been before for a night out for drinks. I reviewed Miller's with 3 stars because of our narrow focus of ordering options. We essentially ordered the Zingers. I would want to try other food options before giving it a higher score. However, the Zingers were fantastic enough to instill a desire for me to go back. read more

Went out with family for some drinks and ended up disappointed to say the least. Had 4 drinks and did not feel tipsy at all despite the fact that I hadn't had a drink in months which leads me to believe that the alcohol served in this establishment might not actually be AUTHENTIC, by the time the bill came I noticed that it said "Double shot" when in fact the drinks tasted as though they had SINGLE SHOTS in them. 10/10 do not recommend this place if you're a serious or even casual drinker. Came in today on a Friday night and Krystle The bartender was amazing she was bouncing back and forth from both bars and as some other bartenders didn't pay much attention to us she was always on point. She knew the menu and made my husband the best old fashion he's ever had. She said old fashion and martinis were her specialty. I asked for an espresso martini she asked if I liked pumpkin flavor and she made me the best pumpkin espresso martini I've ever had. I didn't even know this was a thing her recommendation on food was on point from apps to entrees. We had a little undercooked entree and she sent a manager (Andrew) over and he was completely amazing making sure the rest of our food experience there was enjoyable. The care the staff had for our experience will definitely get us back again. Thank you again Krystle and Andrew I wish I could give more than a 5star rating they deserve it! read more

Enjoyed watching the games here. Usually go to millers in Florida when visiting my folks. Cool you have an outdoor space to watch games but only local game was on there. Stopped in for a quick lunch on a Saturday. We were there early. No wait. We did walk in the wrong door but an employee was quick to assist and sat us with no problem. Three of us came for lunch last Saturday. It was not crazy crowded. We sat at a table in the bar area that has the large, screened open windows. The temperature was perfect. Having just returned from a vacation in southern Florida we were anxious to try their version of smoked fish dip. This is not a common appetizer in the Tri-State area and we wanted to compare to the ones we recently enjoyed. Unfortunately, the 2 NJ locations don't carry it. Instead we began with the Zinger Potato Chip Nachos (Zingers with Medium Garlic Sauce, Cut into Bite Size Pieces and Served over Homemade Potato Chips. Topped with Jack & Cheddar Cheeses, Diced Tomatoes, Green Onions and Sour Cream). This was a pretty huge portion even for the 3 of us. The potato chips were perfectly crunchy. I wish there was some type of salsa or sauce that came on the side. The staff was overly apologetic about the length of time that it took to bring them to us. There must have been 4 different manager-types that came over to apologize. We never felt like they were taking an unusually long time. Wife had the Apple Walnut Salad (Fresh Romaine Topped with a Vinaigrette Dressing, Craisins, Candied Walnuts, Fresh Apples, Grapes, and Crumbled Blue Cheese). They forgot the apples. Waiter and manager again were very apologetic. I had the Miller's Steak Sandwich (Marinated Steak Piled High and Smothered with Onions, Mushrooms, Bistro Sauce & Provolone Cheese. Served on a Toasted Garlic Steak Roll with Pickle and Fries.) I substituted the regular fries with sweet potato fries that came with a dipping sauce which was whipped butter and tons of cinnamon. That dipping sauce was quite the hit at this table. Otherwise the sandwich was just okay. The bread got a bit too moist from the bistro sauce...next time on the side. Friend went with the Fish and Chips (Flaky White Fish Fried Golden Brown. Served with Cole Slaw and French Fries.) Friend substituted the fries out for onion rings. This was the largest portion of fried fish that I have ever seen. He enjoyed it very much. Managers comped us dessert. Wife and friend selected the Capt'n Jack's Buried Treasure (Homemade Ice Cream Cake with Oreo® Cookie Crust, Caramel, Chocolate Fudge & Heath Bar® Crunch). This is my go to spot to watch Sunday night football games. They have tons of flat screen TVs to watch several games at the same time without missing a beat. A bucket of 6 pack of Coors for $10 is a steal that's offered on Sundays. They offer tons of draft beers and can sample any just by asking. Service at the bar is always great, friendly and fast. Constantly checking up on everyone to make sure there drinks and tummy's are satisfied. I love how attentive and caring they are. You never get the feeling that your being rushed or unwanted. Food is good, it satisfies your average Joe Schmoe. Prices are very reasonable and portions are huge so don't get carried away and order everything. Wings are large, consistent and juicy but the insane sauce isn't spicy one bit, odd isn't it? Fries with cheese are average and the zingers flat bread is really good. Thin crust with boneless chicken and smothered in a blue cheese sauce. Very simple but satisfying with a ton of bold flavors. I came here for my birthday. Although the food was great as always my server sadly was not. She never told us her name and was always on her way somewhere else or in a rush when talking to us. It was not the experience I was expecting and I just wanted to leave. She dropped of my birthday desert with no song or even saying a simple "happy birthday" just said "here you go" and rushed to the table next to me. Miller's is very large with 2 bars and a table section (there's an outside seating section as well). Large TV's around the bar, lots of beers on tap, cheap prices and daily specials. Open til 3am on weekends and 2am on weekdays. They serve food late too. The food isn't bad but it's nothing special either. Typical chain quality. Don't come here to have a sit down dinner because it's not that kind of place. Come here to drink! It's good for happy hour, late night and casual drinking. Food should only be a second thought because you have drunk munchies. The worst thing about this place as other yelpers have mentioned is that it gets SUPER CROWDED to the point where it's extremely annoying, uncomfortable and impossible to get a drink. You can't squeeze in at the side of the bar closest to you but you can't move down the bar either because there's too many people. Then when you finally get your drink you can barely hold it without spilling it on people because they're so freakin' close to you. I wish Milers would stop letting people in after a certain capacity but they don't care and it sucks. read more

Coming here on a Friday or Saturday night between the hours of 5pm-11pm you are asking for a large helping of young drunk obnoxious people, with a side of sweat and lets forget about the entire concept of sitting at a table. That won't be happening. Every time i come in here i usually fight my way through meat heads order a beer and by the time it's done, I'm ready to leave. If you come here on off hours its not bad at all, the food is alright, definitely frozen. Nothing really tastes so fresh or so amazing where it will leave you with a taste that you need to come back and have it again. The 3 stars are for the following. 1st star: Its Clean. Even on its most crowded nights Ive never had an issue with the place being dirty. The staff is quick to clean tables and Ive never gotten a dirty glass or anything like that. 2nd star: Beer selection. Granted you will not be finding your favorite variety of craft brews here but they have tons of beers on tap. Something like 60 i believe? maybe more. So you will absolutely find something good to drink, the bar tenders are quick as well. ASSUMING YOU ACTUALLY GET TO THE BAR AND ARE ABLE TO ORDER. 3rd star: Just because I'm nice. The place isn't a total hell hole but tons of people go there, the food is mediocre and the beer selection isn't as diverse as I'd like. If you have 60 beers on tap i should be able to see some stuff you can't go to ShopRite and buy off the shelf. If you like loud, crowded bars with tons of people, go for it. If you are from out of town, go for it. If you want a quality, unique drink and some awesome food to go with it, or a chill spot for you and some friends to hangout, find a new spot. read more

Like you, the first thing I look at when I am checking out a business on Yelp is the star rating. A lot of times I agree or disagree to various degrees but not this time. Miller's NJ Ale House is a solid 3 star performer. As my friend Nick mentioned, it's like an Applebees with 2 gigantic bars and a crapload of TVs. It's a great place to watch a game or enjoy a bite to eat but there are a few drawbacks. First of all, they get crowded, really crowded and waits are often extended. When it's like this, the staff, particularly the host/hostesses seem overwhelmed and confused. The place is cavernous so I do understand but I think it could be managed better and certainly more professionally. Wait times to get a drink at the bar can also be excessive. This is something I never understood. Every minute spent waiting for a drink is a minute you're not drinking and a minute you're not drinking is a minute they're not making money. Seems foolish on their part. I understand not wanting to flood the bar with bartenders but there should be a better balance. The food is typical bar fare and is priced accordingly. Worth mentioning is that, for some ridiculous reason, they share a building with 24 Hour Fitness. The ridiculousness is not due to the obvious, a bar adjacent to a gym. It's due to the fact that both businesses require a lot of parking and if there's a game on, especially an important one, you may spend longer looking for a parking space then a drink and believe me, you can wait a looooong time for a drink. All and all, Miller's is a solid choice especially for a sports fan but I would caution against going on major sports nights unless you have a tolerance for long waits and screaming fans. I'd give the bar and atmosphere a 4 star review. Maybe even 5 star. It has a log cabin feel too it - nice and cozy with a fireplace too. It's spacious, although it does get crowded on the weekends. The food, however, stinks. I ordered the grilled chicken and it was dry. The green beans that came with it were undercooked. On a separate occasion I ordered the NY Strip Steak and it lacked any type of seasoning. It was rather fatty too. Another time I got a grilled chicken sandwich and the chicken was dry and bland. (Not sure why I keep giving so many chances). The food rating, when ordering a "real meal", is about a 2. Their bar food is pretty good though! The zingers and loaded fries were really good! I'd like to try more junk food here. I love coming here for drinks but not to eat. This is def the kind of place to meet up with friends, get your drink on and get some late night munchies. read more

Last night was my second time eating at this place. The first time I had the an order of wings, zingers and a steak sandwich, which all were excellent! Last night, I decided to order the full rack of ribs. One thing I will tell you is DON'T order the ribs. They were absolutely disgusting! I'd had my share of ribs in my time and these didn't even taste like real meat. Not to mention, they had NO sauce on them and all around, was a bad meal! I had the delectable Seafood Platter which included grilled shrimp, grilled scallops, fried fish, fried clams, coleslaw and sweet potato fries!!! 3 stars only for the cheap priced drinks and food...but everything else is a downhill from here. The plus about this joint? The prices of beers and drinks. Ive been here once on a super duper busy friday night and another time on a bit slower night. Both times i had to wait at the bar-which is fine, and to my surprise after being told i had to wait 30 mins..i was served to my table within 10. However, our waitress on one special occasion basically forgot about us a lot. Granted there were 7 or 8 of us in a booth, for about 1.5 hours...we were ordering a lot...so how could you forget about us? The hostess needs to be a bit organized too, people kept walking in and just standing by the door like they didn't know what to do. The food..what a disappointment! I had the lobster bisque and hands down this is the worst lobster bisque ever, way too buttery and salty. My friend ordered this plate that had fries bacon and cheese and the works..not sure what its called but she basically picked around it because it wasn't that great.
