Ate here on Veterans Day 2021 with my brother. We sat at the bar. Bartender was attentive and the selection of draft beer is impressive. The beer was ice cold. We had wings which were very good, nice and crispy. I had a bacon cheeseburger which I asked to be cooked medium but came out well done. It was still very tasty and put together nicely. The fries were undercooked and the portion was small. My brother got a roast beef sandwich (like a French dip). He said it was good and agreed with me on the fries. This was my first visit to Miller's Ale House. The location is convenient for me and the parking was ample but I was there on a weeknight. Plenty of open seating and our waitress came to our table immediately. We had an appetizer of calamari which was okay - didn't seem very fresh nor hot. My dinner was fish tacos with rice and beans which was very good, you could taste the fish..it wasn't covered with heavy sauces and creams. Rice and beans tasty. My family's dinners of a burger (overdone) and fish scampi looked decent but nothing to brag about. The ambiance is fun, lots of TV's, I definitely would not be caught here on a weekend evening or during a sporting event...but with that kind of a liquor/drink menu I would be back with friends on a weeknight -- would like to try that outdoor seating with heaters. My wife took her lunch break to drive 30 minutes round trip to pick up salads. When she got home we find out Millers forgot to give us dressing so we called. There response was to spend money on an Uber or doordash and they will send it? Why am I paying for that when it's their mistake? I requested to speak with a manager. The manager said I'll give you a partial refund because some ingredients of what you ordered was correct! It's like paying to see a movie and the power goes out halfway through the movie so a 50% discount should be applied. It's a pretty crappy response from a manager. If they use doordash and Uber they could of sent the dressings for the salads. To the manager: Salad is acidic and sweet dressing balances the flavor to make it taste good. This place is literally so POPPIN, especially on Friday nights. Even though there's always a big crowd of people, the place itself is big enough to accommodate a big crowd. Miller's actually has 2 big bars so you don't have to worry about not finding bar space or seats. When i went i sat by the bar with my friends because we were actually starving and wanted to be serve fast. I sat down and the bartender treated us right always, gave us menus, and took our orders. Didn't have to wait a lot. I actually ordered chicken quesadillas in which were delicious, and a Rosè beer. That was my first time trying the rosè beer. If you are like me that likes sweet drinks i would totally recommend. The staff is super friendly and attentive, always there to serve you and provide you with the best customer service experience. I tried out the Ale House for the first time for lunch on a Saturday. We got a table immediately and had attentive, pleasant service the entire time. I noticed the beer list is pretty extensive. There are quite a few taps and a bunch of local New jersey brews available. I opted for a Guinness though because it was offered at a reduced price (they do this every Saturday). My friend went for a soup and salad, which he enjoyed. I chose a turkey burger with mushrooms and cheese. The whole combination worked well together and I thought it was pretty good. Tried Millers Ale house again for some reason. Not sure why my family continues to punish me with these TGI Friday's spin offs but we went. Food was so awful. Shrimp & Chicken salad had four little frozen shrimp and lots of bagged lettuce. It was very bland and not much effort to even resemble the picture on the menu. We got mcdonaldsed . Ribs were ok but came with a half full container of coke slaw and one side. For $19. They could at least toss in a potato or starch and vegetables with a rib entree like half of America does. The kids meals came with vegetables and fries. The vegetables were loaded with butter and the fries covered in salt. We asked for new fries because we don't want our kids to be obese and they brought dry ones. Also charged us for them. I think this place is probably great for catching a game and enjoying the bar but the food is garbage. It's not any better then a Friday's or a Tuesday and I just don't care for that garbage. I would rather pay $25 for ribs and $10 more for a shrimp salad if it's good. We have been to a ton of miller ale houses in Florida and they are awesome. Obviously the NJ chefs and management is different but it's a shame they cannot keep the same standards across the chain. Skip this place unless there is a line at TGIF. read more

The absolute worse restaurant. i was excited to visit this place for the first time; we were a party of 4. I ordered the grilled chicken, and it was horrible. Fries super salty Cokes had funny after taste/flat and chicken bland. We also ordered the mahi fish tacos that tasted fishy. The tacos came with a large bowl of black bean (that was weird) We also ordered the chicken fajitas, which were super a joke. They were barely hot and the portion size was for a child. This was my first visit to a Miller's Ale House. It was a Saturday at 11:30am after racing nearby in the River Edge 5K. I appreciated the meandering mall roads starting from Forest Ave so I could get there without getting on a highway. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta. It was a 30 minute wait but I had nowhere I needed to be plus I understand the early hour disadvantage of not having food thawed out from the freezer yet. I enjoyed my meal while watching all the sports on all the televisions. My meal had amazing flavor as I ate while smiling. read more
