Had the hamburger and spent the entire night on the can. Would not return. It wrecked my stomach.

The place is not too bad conformable and cozy the service is okay the food could be better most dishes in this place are kinda plain and in need of improvement our server were nice. read more

A true three stars. I like this diner because it reminds me of, well... A diner! You know... somewhat mediocre service, a steaming hot cup of average coffee and some eggs, bacon and toast in the morning. If you are looking for anything more, I suggest you do not come here. Otherwise, I really enjoy this place and will come back again. read more

The Millburn diner is nice and I go there because its convenient, close to my place, but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it. I haven't had anything bad here ever... just don't consider it a stand-out place. Their breakfasts are pretty good, and their specialty salads and the tuna melts are also usually pretty good. The place is usually very busy on the weekends. read more

Good for breakfast. Fries with gravy are great. Alphabet soup for kids is good. They are alway nice and we feel comfortable there. Good suburban Greek diner. read more

My husband and I went there for a quick dinner. And it was good. We ordered brisket and the lemon butter chicken. The salad that comes with it was huge and fresh. I ordered the soup that comes with the entree was good too. The restroom was pretty clean. The service isn't bad at all. Overall, we like it and would like to try their breakfast next time. read more

This is the best diner ever! It's not just a diner, but a place I call home. Everyone there is extremely friendly and knows me by name. They have the best chicken wings, highly recommend. Don't listen to anyone that has anything bad to say because it's all lies. Best diner ever. Go or you'll regret it! read more

Solid diner food .nothing special.if you go for breakfast its fine otherwsise stick w the basics

Like most people say, nothing special about this place. The quality of food however of this place however is sub par, ranging from terrible to acceptable. They barely have any parking space and I'm supposed there haven't been that many accidents. They are good on their portions however. read more

Used to be better. Now just ok. Food is above average. Service is ok. Prices are too high. Stick with breakfast or brunch items for best quality. read more

Bad service and poor quality noted on my visit with family what is going on with taking care of repeat customers. you must fix the problems train employees and improve service read more

My family and friends love this family oriented New Jersey Diner, located across the street and a half block down from the Millburn NJTransit Commuter Station. Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner are uniformly excellent. The matzoh ball soup is recognized by town residents as the best around and I order it frequently. Where can you get lunch or a light dinner for less than $10? If you order a bowl of matzoh ball soup plus a slice of their sugar free apple pie with ice cream, $10 will cover the meal and tip. Other especially recommended items: the double thick French Toast made from sliced Challah bread; all of their omelette skillets; all of the soups, all of their hamburgers; and their salad topped with grilled salmon ~ wonderful! They also have specials. Recently I enjoyed a leg of lamb entree that was better than I've had in NYC restaurants. The specials and fancy salads are more expensive, of course, but are often so large that I end up taking half home. My family and I really like the atmosphere of the Millburn Diner. The food comes quickly but we do not feel rushed. The staff checks to know whether the soup was hot enough, etc., and waits to learn if we need anything. In essence, they care that each person enjoys their meal and has a nice time while at their restaurant! The Millburn Diner is a terrific NJ Diner and is an anchor of downtown Millburn, NJ. read more

This is the kind of place you go to if you live in Millburn, don't want to cook and don't want to spend too much. The food is greasy and not fresh. The wait staff can be inattentive at times. However, due to the lack of affordable options, Millburn diner is the best of the worst. read more

We stopped by for dessert after a show at the Paper Mill. I don't believe a dessert visit is a good representation of the overall food and dining experience. The service was friendly but slow. We only ordered a carrot cake, baklava, a fruit cup, and coffee. The coffee was good. The carrot cake might have been a few days old because the fork caused the cake to crumble into many pieces whenever you went to take a bite. Some of the fruit appeared to be canned and not fresh. We never got the second visit for the waitress checking in on us and asking us if we wanted more coffee. So one cup it was. I would give it a second chance just because I'm a fair guy and I would need a full meal to make a solid decision. read more

Good food for a diner. Nice diverse menu with good wraps and salads. Smallish for a diner. Salads are good, too. Try the Millburn wrap for chicken with walnuts. read more

Their portions are really generous which I like. Their veggie burger is gigantic and their homefries are fresh potatoes. There are always tons of kids and families so it can get pretty noisy. Overall it's good for when you're really hungry and want a big, satisfying meal. read more

Usually place to go orders here. A bit expensive (but I guess I get it, location is premium) but the food is generally solid. Service is spotty, my to go orders are usually missing items, be it ketchup, pickles, cole slaw, etc. Orders are usually almost correct, ie wrong cheese on sandwich, wrong meat, etc. Overall, a standard diner, open late, usually a solid choice. read more

I've gone here regularly but not anymore. They don't know what they're doing. When I asked for a booth they told me they just need to wipe it down for me. So, I waited, fine. And then another family comes in and they give them our booth, they completely forgot we were waiting. Since they're food is only blah we got tired of waiting after 10 minutes and left. I'm never going back there again, it's cramped, loud, and the staff are full of it. read more

First time visiting this diner. I am blown away with service and food. French Onion soup is off the charts amazing. Lived in jersey my entire life and never enjoyed a diner as much as Millburn Diner. Chef comes our and greats each table and Niko the owner class act. We will definitely be coming back. Suzi de read more

This is my first and last time coming to this place. I would have French toast and what I got in return was a flavor free the slap of bread that was slightly burnt. The only reason I gave this place two stars is because the kid up front did the right thing and comped my meal. Highly disappointed with something as simple as breakfast. How can you mess that up? read more

We randomly stopped by Millburn Diner for a late weekend breakfast and were amazed at how great everything was. We ordered a vegetable omelette and a standard scrambled egg breakfast with toast and home fries, and both were delicious. The waitress was attentive and friendly and readily answered our questions and accommodated our special requests. The coffee was above average for a diner. The diner is over a half hour from my home, but i will definitely make a point to go there again whenever I'm going in that direction! read more

I want to like this diner. We've been here about 5 times, and each time it's mediocre at best. Forgetting/not offering to refill coffee, not returning to the table, ever, acting like getting your drink is worthy of sainthood, etc. Food is barely okay. Problem is, there are no other diner/breakfast alternatives in town, so it's always busy, which reinforces the mediocre service. read more

No words for the mozzarella sticks here. They are hand made and so delicious!! I've been coming here for years and I can say I've never had a bad meal. The chicken is always perfectly seasoned, the salads are always fresh, the wraps are so flavorful. You get the picture - it's a great diner. The staff is always attentive, even on days when they are short-staffed. I get that people want instant gratification and can't help being impatient, but they need to realize how hard the staff truly works. read more

The worst diner in New Jersey. Fortunately management and staff don't care. The only thing worse than the service and general indifference is the quality of the food. Every member of my party had their order come incorrect and the food was inedible. This is a diner and we ordered safe meals. Hard to imagine everything going so badly. And management attempted to charge for everything including meals they forgot to bring altogether. Worst diner and worst meal I have had in a long time. We regret not stopping at McDonalds. read more

This is hands down the best diner in NJ!! FORGET ALL THE BAD REVIEWS. My wife and I have been coming here for years. We are in the restaurant business and know how a restaurant should be ran. And they always follow through. Breakfast is affordable and always good. Service is always kind and efficient. They're sandwiches are always good. Our goto spot!! 5 stars. From John the host to all the waiters and waitresses, they all work hard!! Yasou Yanni!! read more

To me, diners in general are just bad. It really is a 2.7. It's an ok diner w/ a lot of food choices, but it's a bit expensive. The service is pretty good. However, with places like the millburn deli around, this diner is just not worth going to. read more

So, in my last review I noted that one of the reasons I liked this place was that they substitute salad for fries, with no problem. Perhaps I jinxed myself because this became an issue the last time I was here. The waitress said she didn't think she could do it (offered veggies or rice instead and noted she'd have to ask the manager). After a chat with the manager, which involved her pointing out our table, she came back and said she couldn't make the substitute. Long story short, after starting to walk out of the place, I was told I could have the salad (note that it wasn't the manager who changed his mind), but this experience left a very unpleasant taste in my mouth. Seriously, how hard is it to throw together some lettuce and tomato - there are enough other places around to get a turkey sandwich that I don't need to beg for a salad here. read more

Not my favorite diner. The service was perfectly fine, but I've been there 4 or 5 times and have never loved (or even really liked) what I got. I've gotten a vegetable panini and more than one of their eggplant dishes and all were pretty flavorless. At first, I thought it was just the dish and was willing to go back and give it another try. Looks like that's not the case. Relatedly, their menu is more expensive than most diners, which is another reason I won't be going back. I'd be happy to spend the extra buck or two if the food was great, but over pay for mediocre food? No way. read more

Worst diner ever. Don't go when your hungry on a Saturday morning or ever. Waiter service will not acknowledge or greet you. Coffee nope you won't get that until 15 minutes after sitting down. What you complained to the woman behind the register and thought she would care. Nope!! She will give you an attitude then walk away from you. Don't go!!!! read more

Busier on Sunday's than St Patrick's cathedral. That being said we were served wonderful food by an extremely excellent server. Amazing, the place was packed and they were right on with their service. Don't miss read more

Just an average diner. What earned them 2 instead of 3 stars was the cooks and the owner (or manager, not sure). I have (non-life threatening) food allergies so I always order something simple for everyone's sake. I had 2 eggs with potatoes, no toast. One of my allergies is unfortunately onions. I made the waitress aware of my allergy and she said she would ask for the potatoes to be made without onions for me. There were onions in them. The waitress apologized and said she'd get me another plate of potatoes. There were onions in the 2nd batch as well just not as many. She said she doesn't understand why they aren't understanding this and she tried again. 3rd time? Yup, onions. Not as many but they were there. The waitress apologized over and over and took the cost of my meal off our check and apologetically brought me french fries. I can't blame the waitress who obviously did whatever she could. When we told the person at the register that I had a food allergy and asked for no onions in the potatoes vs. what we received he truly could not have cared any less. We aren't going back. Never had such poor service after mentioning food allergies and since the food is average as well... read more

We had the two worst meals in diner history. Grilled chicken wrap. Stale wrap- could not eat. How can a diner ruin grilled chicken? They did! Forgot to put the salsa on. One sliver of unripe avocado. The Grilled vegetables were inedible. And the poor inadequate service matched the food. read more

Great diner the staff is super friendly, I been here a couple of times, if you're a pancake person like me this is the diner to come to,out of alll the diners I been to this diner has the best pancakes the only reason I'm giving this diner a 4 star is because of the parking space..the parking space is very small so there's never really parking and I hate having to go around in circles to find parking yet have to pay for parking outside the diner which sucks but other than that the food is good. read more

Food is decent. Service is hit and miss. I told my waitress that my soup tasted a little sour. She told me I was wrong and that I'm the first to complain. After I asked for a different soup, the waitress made an extra effort to provide proof that I'm wrong. She told me that another waitress ate the soup and liked it. She kept making an emphasis about how I was wrong. Also, other people's dishes were missing certain ingredients. Water was never refilled and we were never asked how everything was. The diner is fine, but the waitress tonight was not nice. She's unappreciative of the opportunity she has been provided. read more

This restaurant receives one star. Server was nice and very courteous, my daughter and I ordered burgers (Kobe Burger and Millburn burger) what a mess. We ordered medium well for both and burgers but the burgers came to the table well done and when I say well done they were burned. Server knew burgers weren't up to par asked us if burgers were acceptable. My daughter who ordered the Kobe burger which was too burned for consumption, requested it be sent back to the kitchen for a replacement. My millburn burger was dried and over cooked but I just suffered threw it. My daughter's replacement returned and it was bleeding all over the bun and lead us to believe the chef was incapable of preparing something as simple as a medium well burger. My daughter just said never mind for which the server graciously took off our tab. Owner (she) was nasty and unhappy that we sent the Kobe burger back twice when we checked out no sorry for the inconvenience just very nasty owner when checking out. Would not recommend and the owner should not be angry with customer instead she should train her cook on how to prepare burgers. read more
