My Impala had issues where the battery was somehow being drained slowly even on a new battery with no third party connections,etc. After running their diagnostics it was revealed it was a faulty power seat switch causing it. Stay far away from these old school ripoff artists. Quoted and charged me for a rebuilt tranny but installed a used tranny of unknown origin. Should've cost half as much given they did no rebuild. Worse yet. They didnt even use the proper oem fluid (different chemistry) and just tossed in some unknown stuff. When I called them on it they just said oh gee if you have any problems it'll be covered. Don't trust the warranty either. It requires a checkup visit and signature, both of which these guys conveniently failed to mention. read more

I paid this company $2,000 to rebuild my transmission. The repair went well. I came back to have something else repaired and during a test drive the mechanic "Mark" test drove my truck and hit the side of the building. The damage to the wall and the damage to my truck match up perfectly, it even had my color paint on it. When I finally spoke to the owner "AL" he was very rude and dismissive. Told me "We were very nice to you" as if I, being a black woman, was undeserving of common courtesy. He also stated that he believed his mechanic and to "do what you have to do". Without even looking at the evidence. Needless to say this may be a very lengthy legal battle. DO NOT LET THEM TEST DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE UNLESS YOU'RE IN THE VEHICLE AS WELL. read more

I did not have the same experience all these other reviewers had. The dealer we bought the car from brought the car here for some major repairs. Within 9 months those repairs failed and caused more damage. We immediately took it to our repair shop to find out what was wrong with the car. It was at that point that we found out 90% of the issues were things this place was supposed to have fixed. The other 10% was damage caused by their faulty repairs. We had the car towed here directly from that repair shop here so they can fix their previous repairs under THEIR warranty and eat the difference we would pay because it caused further damage. Well, in THEIR POSSESSION the motor seized. When we asked what happened their response was "well it doesn't matter, the motor is seized now" they then proceeded to offer some solutions. It went from $1900 in repairs they should have covered to now spending $4k-$14k on a new motor out of our pocket. We were in a shocked mind state when they offered the options and amounts. They gave the impression they were trying to help us so I too felt like they cared like some other of the reviewers... luckily I had time to get my thoughts together. They were charging ME for THEM locking my motor!!! Instead of them staying true to their work and covering their original mistakes they wrecked my car even more so *I* would have to pay to fix it!! I had to ASK them to provide a repair order of their findings and even so they don't explain ANYTHING on that sheet just items and pricing. No "concern, cause, or correction." I had the vehicle towed out of there this morning and provided their "repair order" to the shop it's at now. My shop also wonders how this place is still in business and to report them to the BBB. On another note, not a single person but me and the tow truck driver were wearing a mask. I hope your experience is nothing like mine. read more

I took my car here with an emission leak. I was told it was fixed. After that, it would not even start. I took my car to him a total of 5 times, and each time, they "fixed" it. I had to keep taking it back because my engine light came on. After $500 worth of repairs, I finally took it to the dealer. They fixed it, and I haven't had trouble since. The dealer gave me the part that Multistate "fixed," and it was the wrong part that they used. He ended up giving me about $225 back, but I lost about $275 and a lot of wasted time which I couldn't afford. He would always contradict himself as well. Warning: Don't go here. They apparently didn't know how to fix my problem, but unfortunately, they felt comfortable taking my money and wasting my time. read more

Wanted to take a few minutes to express how impressed I was with the recent service on my wife's VW Beetle. It all started with a firm hand shake and smile from Dan welcoming me. The staff/technician's where all very friendly (they actually looked like they enjoyed working here). The technician did a through job of checking everything and told me of some DTC codes I was not aware of. Once I was ready to check out, Dan "walked" me through the work that was done explaining in detail. He also took the time to check on what the DTC codes meant. The staff at this shop are absolutely Awesome!!!!! I call and made an early morning appointment because I was having transmission problems with my 2012 Toyota Camry. I was hoping it was just a small problem Turns out the shuddering problem I was experiencing was due to a bad $torque converter $$. That's right big buck$$. However they discovered a repair bulletin Toyota issued on the problem. They printed everything up for me and directed me to a local Toyota shop that did all of the repairs for FREE!! He ripped me off by charging me money to supposedly diagnose the trans problem by driving it. I was not told there was a charge to just drive my car. No diagnostic was done internally or by machine. Al and his team were great! When I noticed transmission fluid leaking under my car onto the driveway, I first took my car to the dealer and got an estimate for the repairs. On a hunch, I decided to get a second opinion from a qualified transmission repair shop near Naperville. I stumbled across this location, which had very positive reviews on Google. It turns out that the necessary transmission repair was far worse than the dealer's band-aid solution of replacing a seal. Al showed me the problem, which was consistent with complaints I found all over the internet for my car's particular make, model and year. The dealer's quote was not as expensive, but Al's shop saved me the long-term trouble of having to deal with this problem again and again in the future (at my expense). I'd highly recommend getting a second opinion from this place, as it's no cost for the evaluation, but will probably save you significant $$$ in the long run! read more
