While enroute to Iowa she stopped at the Decalb Oasis for fuel. Uppon leaving the fuel pump the car started bringing and would not shift into park and the car was inoperable. She called in a panic and told us what was hapening. Our daughter doesn't deal with these situations awesomely and threw up. I told here to engage parking brake and turn on the hazards. I would be on my way and will be there in less than 30 mins. As I got there I see she is stopped in the middle of the driveway parking lot and causing a backup at the oasis. I approach the car and ask her to turn off the ignition. "DAD I CAN'T" is her response. I show her how the shift lock over ride is used and get the vehicle into neutral. We push the vehicle into a parking spot and remove her personal items, leave the vehicle unlocked and head back to Naperville. While driving back to Naperville I call Dupage Transmission and speak with Scott. I explain the situation and he gives a suggestion of a flat bed tow company. "Get it towed and we will get it fixed today" Wow a shop willing to stop their other projects to get me back on the road asap! The vehicle waswas back on the road same day and my daughter was able to not cancel her weekend. A true mom & pop establishment that only cares about their customers. This was such a pleasurable experience that I had them complete a few other maintenance items I've been putting off. The vehicle is ready for another 90k. I went to the shop for a transmission fluid change. They charge me 225. I look under my truck after…read morethe service, its bone dry. Doesnt look like they touched it or cleaned it or changed the washers. I go back to ask what they did and why the plugs dont have any new washers. Because they dont look like theyve been touched. Transmission fluid leaves residue and even cleaning with brake cleaner would leave evidence. The tech told me he filled it and drained it from the level plug. Which makes no sense because the level plug indicates its full and isnt a low point to drain the pan. He said he has special tools to drain and fill from the level plug. In my mind im thinking BS. I wanted a refund. I dont think they did the service but they charged me anyway. Dont go here if you value honesty and integrity. The feeded me bs saying the level plug which indicates is full is where they drained it. You can see from my pictures none of the bolts look cleaned or even touched. No residue of oil, or cleaner because it looks like nothing was done to it.

Very disappointing experience with my Tesla Model Y. I specifically brought the vehicle in for a…read morecontrol arm noise coming from the driver side and clearly explained that upon arrival. The shop diagnosed and recommended replacement of both the driver and passenger lower control arms. I ultimately approved repair of only the side making noise for approximately $697 (versus the $1,394 they recommended for both sides). What bothered me most was that after the repair was completed, the technician test drove the vehicle, yet nobody informed me before making payment that the exact same noise was still present. I personally discovered it myself within less than 10 feet of driving out of the shop and immediately returned. The lack of communication regarding the unresolved issue felt very misleading and frustrating. Instead of taking ownership of the failed diagnosis or communication issue, the owner Elvis became defensive and stated the reason the noise remained was because I was "too cheap" to do all the work (both side, $1,397). He also suggested I should have replaced the upper control arm as well, despite the fact that they never diagnosed or recommended prior to the repair. I ultimately took the vehicle to the Tesla dealership, where the upper control arm issue was addressed at a significantly lower cost. While the lower control arms may have shown signs of wear, replacing worn parts that are not actually causing the customer's complaint makes little sense from a diagnostic standpoint. Based on my experience, the process felt more like guesswork than properly isolating the actual issue. Customer service was ultimately arrogant and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious bringing a Tesla here.

Here is an interesting story to show the absolute professionalism and expert work this repair shop…read moredoes. We were traveling in our 35' motor home from South Bend, Indiana toward the Chicago area on a Friday near the end of July 2017. The day before we noticed the transmission not upshifting properly and decided to have a Ford (it has a Ford V-10 engine) truck shop look at it. The closest shop recommended AC Transmission. We pulled into AC Transmission at approximately 10AM and talked with Tony the owner. He painted a glum picture after his men checked out the transmission and said we could possibly be back on the road the following Tuesday! We had to get my wife's brother and his wife back to Iowa where we'd met them two weeks prior, and we had to do it ASAP for them to be back home by the following Monday. After frantically arranging for a rental car, the wives began packing up all the clothes, etc., but little did they know they were being raised off the ground by the lift in the shop! In the meantime, Tony approached me and said that just maybe they could get us back on the road by the afternoon - amazing. He even loaned us his errand car to go out to get something to eat while they did the work. By 3:00PM the work was finished and we were ready to get back on the road. Oh yeah, the wives had been returned to earth after we contacted them via cell phone! But Tony and company were our saviors for the day and we are forever indebted to him and his crew. A repaired transmission in a 10 ton vehicle is no easy task. When we were leaving several of his workers came out to wish us fair voyage for the rest of our trip. What a touch. Those guys are the best. And the price was reasonable too.
