We had a group of 8 who go for breakfast on Saturday mornings. This is the best breakfast around....it costs a bit more but is worth the extra few dollars. They offer vegetarian sausages which some in our party want...but aren't available at some restaurants. The home fries are really special. The food was top notch, it is really special. And there are some unique alternatives too. Service was friendly and efficient, Connie was as perfect as can be. People don't think of milestones for breakfast, but it is an excellent alternative...nice atmosphere too. read more

Came here with a friend after the movies. I got the Baja fish tacos with sweet potato fries. My friend got the poke bowl and the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. The ambiance was modern and clean, waiter was friendly and attentive. I was surprised by the taco, the crispy fish and various veggies made a great combination of texture of flavour. The tomatoes and jalapeño is refreshing and a good balance to the crispy fish. I would highly recommend the tacos! read more

Had the 7 ounce sirloin: that was the worst steak I've ever had in my life, and I'm not above buying a 50% off grocery store steak for a quick meal at home. For $27, only slightly larger than a hamburger patty, but EVERY SINGLE BITE had unchewable gristle. EVERY BITE. Not one bite was Just "steak" that you can chew. If I had spit out all the unchewable stuff, it would have almost been the whole steak. How a restaurant that is supposed to be good at steaks could even plate such an atrocity tells you about their quality control and their committment to it. I will never ever go to Milestones again. Usually milestones is my favorite place because of the bellinis and butternut squash ravioli.. but on my birthday we did take out and not only did they leave out our appetizer (which they then refused to refund back to credit card) but some of my ravioli were burnt and I suspect whomever did the kitchen prep is not terribly skilled in a kitchen because they put the woody, inedible ends of the leek in the dish... yuck... the table out Bellini was small for $12 but delicious.. It's a nice place to Meet ever Year! The new look is beautiful! The new menu is healthy looking. The spaghetti squash is a nice idea but they really could reduce the calorie intake on the whole menu! Mediterranean chicken 800 calories! Most 1200-1600! I'd pair up spaghetti squash with roasted garlic, roasted sweet potato, and use almond butter or chicken for the protein! Consider yourself forewarned. We dined on a Tuesday evening. There were two gentlemen in the bar area, and our table of eight in the whole restaurant. I don't usually leave reviews. However, the meal I just had at Milestones Burlington was really good from start to finish. Great food, great atmosphere and great service! Try the coconut calamari and the chicken and shrimp basil noodles. I enjoyed them a lot. The white chocolate cheese cake was excellent and I enjoyed the espresso. I received an offer for a free appetizer, so my partner and I went there for drinks and the spinach dip. I provided the print-out of the offer to the server. Before we received the app, a big burly man came to our table and said that he would allow the free appetizer, even though we're supposed to order an entree. A) The offer did not specify ordering a main, I read the fine print. B) Why would he think we were just having the appetizer? Maybe because he's one of those people who like to put on the feed bag and order everything at once, as if at the Corral? C) We did order steak and salmon, and $50.00 worth of drinks. read more

As far as chain restaurants go, this one has a very upscale feel with some great specials. I ordered the Barreta farm steak & mushroom dish which came loaded with truffle flavor and topped with pepper borsoin cheese. The steak was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Potatoes had cheese and bacon, which wasn't needed but why not add bacon, right? Easily better than some steak houses I've eaten at with all the flavors melding together. My husband got the Montreal smoked meat poutine with waffle fries. There could've been more cheese but the gravy and meat were abundant and very good and the mustard sauce was a nice touch. What a farce and now I'm actively boycotting Milestones from now on. I am extremely Covid conscious so I tried to book a reservation for 5 people coming from locations all across the GTA along with two small children. 4 of us have been in our bubble since March. We wanted the patio. I'm being told that we can't book more than 6 people and that the kids 5 and 7, all masked up will be turned away. Apparently our dollars after months of being without diners are not good enough. The way the manager interpreted this, the kids who aren't big enough to make up one person are the issue. So good, my dollars will never be used at one of your restaurants ever again. Simple. It's too bad that all the small owner-operated restaurants that make hand crafted food instead of the corporate crap you churn out for the masses are closing and places like yours will survive. I will make sure that I tell everyone I know about this treatment and will actively turn down any further business meetings or any gatherings that involve "Milestones" I will also make sure to tell those who try to book with your restaurant why I am not ever going to eat at one of your establishments again. Received great service the moment we walked in here. The host explained everything in detail including their covid-19 protocol. When we sat down, our waiter Michael was really nice, calm and soft spoken. We had quite a big group but he made sure he got everyone's order correct in a polite manner. Everyone's food came out fresh. I ordered the seafood sirloin and the steak was under cooked from what I wanted. I wanted my steak medium and it came out looking just under medium-rare. I brought up to Michael's attention and he apologized for it and brought the manager out. At this time I have already halfway done my meal. They made a whole new meal for me, which they didn't have to but my group has already finished their food and were ready to leave the restaurant as we are heading back to Toronto. So I got my food to go. Even better for me because I get to eat a nice meal for my lunch break at work! At the end of it all.. we got our bills and my food was on the house! Just came from dinner with a friend at Milestones. Hadn't been there in a while and believe me, we won't be back. The salad with goat cheese, beets and pecans that I was so looking forward to was very small ($15.00) and the hamburger at $17.00 was certainly nothing special. Our bill for this mediocre meal including a glass of wine was $52.58 The menu was limited and the only positive comment I have is that our server was excellent, but I really won't tip my usual 15 to 20% on inflated prices. read more

Ordered the Chicken Parm; chicken was a bit too salty but was completely countered by green beans and pasta that were unsalted and dry. A little butter would go a long way! The flagship of the Cara chain of restaurants. Went for brunch on Sunday. Seated immediately at about 2:30 pm. Nice booth by the window. The waiter was quite natural....not pretentious or phony. We placed our drink orders and they arrived quickly. We wanted to wait a bit before we ordered brunch which wasn't a problem. I had the Grilled Shrimp California Benedict and was very impressed as I like my eggs NOT runny and they arrived as ordered. The quality of the food was quite good. I especially liked the avocado salsa. Everyone was happy with their meals. I had 4 re-fills of my Diet Pepsi which was no problem Food & service was excellent....and the bill was reasonable.....no worse than other chain restaurants. We all left happy & full...what more can you ask for. For brunch this location was excellent. I had a less than stellar experience at the Dixon Rd location. read more

Went tonight.. super slow services for only a handful of tables. The red curry bowl had minimal chicken and when I ordered the crispy chicken bowl with noodles instead of rice and no chicken... I came back with oily noodles and again, minimal pepper slices. You'd think they'd compensate by adding more vegetables, or reduce the total price on the bill as the cost is factored with chicken in it. HARDLY worth $20. Super underwhelming! From no one greeting us at the door, waiting over 10 min for bartender to come over once we sat ourselves in the bar (only had 3 patrons at the bar and one table). Ordered a Miami Ice expecting the mint to be muddled or even half alive but instead had an old branch with dead mint leaves just sticking out of my glass. Thai basil noodles were very bland, seems pretty hard to do with all ingredients listed. Shrimp Cajun creole- over cooked shrimp, tasteless and limp side of veg, creole sauce and plain rice were the "best" parts. Not sure if it's just the location but I use to love Milestones but will unfortunately not be returning. Waste of $80 and a date night :( read more

What Happened Here...Food prices through the roof...selection seriously reduced...proportion have been cut by a minimum of 30 %. OMG. Told by General Manager that it is their decision to "upscale" and "streamline" their menu. Here is the cool part...there was more hair in my starter salad then lettuce. Not a single strand but hair ruffage with my ruffage. Apparently the new upscale and streamlined salad. HEALTH board pay attention...do not delete this people need to know. Then to add even more insult...I had to prove I was not a "bot" at Zendesk by identifying traffic lights in pictorial grid before accepting my complaint of being served a hairy salad. It should be mentioned that the Manager sent a pathetic 50.00 ... apology gift card that expires in 2019 and must be used at HIS location only. This was sent only after a complaint to corporate office. Hmmmmm. Ask yourself...would you go back to the same place that served you organic dental floss and trust them again under pressure of an expiry date? We go there regularly with the family! The food is variable to good! Presentation and service is excellent. Always treat my kids well! Ambiance is comfortable/friendly. They have changed the menu several times and am not keen on several Asian style dishes mixed in with prime rib? Where are they going with this?? Sometimes if you spread yourself too thin in terms of trying to please everyone you never get any good at one thing! What a scam! My wife and I visited the Brant St. Milestone's on Saturday, August 18th at approximately 8:30 pm. We sat in the bar which was quite empty. Upon reviewing the bar menu, there was only one drink on the entire menu called with "Cosmo" in the title. So when the male bartender came over to take our drink order, I ordered a beer for myself and "the Cosmo" for my wife. The cost of the Cosmo per the bar menu was $8.50. Now, when the bill came, the bill listed the price of the Cosmo at $10.50. Now, $2 is not a significant amount, but I hate being ripped off and/or taken advantage of. When I asked the male bartender, he said he prepared a so-called "regular" Cosmo instead of the Cosmo that was on the menu. When I asked him where on the menu this so-called "regular" Cosmo was, he replied that it actually wasn't on the menu. I told him that I ordered the Cosmo as it was listed on the menu. How would I know that there was another Cosmo NOT on the menu. This fellow was quite rude and defiant. If indeed there was another Cosmo that was not on the menu, and after having watched me review the bar menu, shouldn't he at least confirm with me which Cosmo I wanted? But he did no such thing. Fortunately, there was another blond haired female person behind the bar who offered to go speak to the manager. Not surprisingly, she came back with an adjusted bill for the lower price Cosmo. As I said, $2 is a trivial amount, but it's the principle of the matter and I, nor anyone, likes to be blantantly ripped off.
