Good here was great! Great portions and tasty food ! Reminded me of a southern comfort spot. The service here was amazing, staff was super helpful and we had a large party of 11 with 5 kids! I had supper this evening at Kelsey's (401/Highway 25). There is a bar area. I sat in one of the dining areas. I didn't know what I felt like having so ordered some appetizers. I had Mmmmmmozzarella Bread, which was good. I also ordered wings ... half with Sweet & Spicy Thai Chili sauce and half with Apple Butter Barbecue sauce. Both were good. Half priced wings on Thursday's with purchase of a beverage. Wings were really battered which I don't mind, but some people may not prefer. Onion rings were good. Fries were below average. Kids hamburger was overcooked and charred. Side ceasar salad was good. Service was friendly and attentive. Bathrooms were clean. I wouldn't run back to this place in a hurry but it's certainly not the worst restaurant option in Milton (especially if you're with a larger group). read more

I hate to pick on restaurants, but seriously, established chain stores that over-charge prices for sub-par food is getting really old! Our food was on the cold side and did not match the cost. Used to love Kelsey's, now it's on the "Do Not Go" list. Leaving 3/4 of the food on the dishes should have been enough for the server to call over the manager...didn't happen. read more

A long time ago Kelseys was a force to be reckoned with. They had the best food around and a great atmosphere to have a drink in. Somewhere along their journey they lost their way and I stopped going as often as I used to. Today I had a client meeting and this location was the closest to their office so we decided to go. I didn't go willingly to be honest. The last time I had been to a Kelsey's location had been more than two years ago. And I remember being sick to my stomach after eating there. This had become the norm for me hence why I stopped going But today was different. Today I had a better experience I tried a "build your own burger" and figured "how can they get this wrong? Safe bet". And I was surprised that it was as good as it was. I ordered the plain bun with beef burgers, an egg, peameal, tomatoes onions and lettuce. Even though they forgot the lettuce, when the burger came out I was trying to figure out how to fit the thing in my mouth. It was DELISH! I was so impressed. I would ask them NOT to toast the bread in the future. I hate it when they toast the bread on the fryer and lather it with margarine and it gets hard. Not a good thing. But aside from that the burger was great! The fries were good as well. Not the best I ever ate as they could have been hotter but they were acceptable. Our waitress was very attentive and took care of us, but wasn't too intrusive either which is key. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. The way Kelsey's used to be. The updated decor was also nice. The staff seemed happy and the environment was light which was fantastic. The place could have used less volume for a meeting, as the music was a tad loud but not the end of the world. I do NOT recommend the chicken tenders however. My coworker got them in the cool ranch sauce and he got sick off them. Aside from the portion being way to small (was almost as if hey took one small chicken breast and sliced it into 4 and put it into the fryer) they were over cooked with too much sauce. Poor guy puked the second we got back to the office. I wish places wouldn't cheap out like this in light of profits. Short term thinking on the establishment behalf. Try their burger. Well it's been a year since I was here last, wow time flies. This time I had the chicken ceasar and some of those famous wings. I found the chicken in the ceasar is cooked nice, but there is an odd sweet note in the coating/sauce that just doesn't go with the ceasar's more tart tones. Could be a prawn sweet chili sauce was on the grill before my chicken who knows. it's not off putting, but if sweet bothers you I would make sure the server knows when you order. Other than that it was good and a good size. Also the wings were great as usual. I love that the menu now includes calories (likely why I ordered the salad) Always a nice atmosphere and great specials and offers like scene points. I'll be back some day soon read more

Never like Kelsey's but came here for business based on someone else's preference. Years ago I remember the waitress at another location telling me the veggies were pre-made, wrapped in a plastic bag and thrown into a microwave before serving. This time I got a veg burger and it was the worst I've ever had, especially at $14. Tasted like cardboard. This was the first time we have been out as a new family and we chose this place. We walked in to a empty restaurant. We were seated near the hostess who thought it was a good time to vacuum the main hallway at the hostess booth. Then we were told the pop machine is broken and can only order beer water and iced tea. The waitress took our order, the food came at a half paced speed and she forgot to even bring out my son's meal and my fries After waiting 10 mins for her to return she goes into the back and rushes to get a meal put in. My wife ordered the steak meal which is 30$ and a hard as a rock hunk of meat came out that was freezer burnt and tasted awful, the veggies were over cooked and potatoe looked 3 weeks old. Kelsey's in right off the 401. And as such, there are always a good number of cars in the parking lot. It always seems busy inside. A constant buzz of noise and laughter -- and your ocassional magician -- make Kelsey's a great restaurant for all ages. The environment is cool, comfortable, and familiar. Great for solo dining, families, and large groups. With plenty of daily 15-minute express lunch specials, AYCE wing nights, 1/2 off wing nights, and drink nights, Kelsey's never disappoints. Went: Saturday, September 5, 9:15 p.m. Why we went: We went here only because it was open late and close to the hotel, whose kitchen had closed for the night. What we ordered: * Chicken Goat Cheese on flat bread - average to above average, quite tasty; this convinced us to order two take out appetizers for the next day * Garden Salad - good * Three Piece Fish Taco - I did not like that the meat in the fish taco was battered which gave it a heavy taste. Also the bread was overcooked and not like a soft taco at all. To be honest, it was inedible. We then ordered another Chicken Goat Cheese on flat bread and: * Chicken Quesadilla - We had it the next day, but it was quite heavy. However, it falls with the range of average for next day meals. It was advertised that appetizers were half price after 9 p.m. We confirmed this with the waiter and ordered 3 appetizers. For such a deal, why order an entree? The food was okay, so we thought of ordering two more appetizers for meals tomorrow. The waiter said he didn't know if that was okay and would get back to us. He got back to us, saying 1/2 price appetizers are only good if you both order drinks. Now, he didn't say this before, and if we knew this, we wouldn't have drank water, but instead have had beverages. He said he would work it out. We emphasized to him that if we could not get the 1/2 price on the take out, we didn't want it. In the end, he changed shifts with another person. The bill had added drinks and our take out dishes were billed full price. After a lot of back and forth, the bill was still off by $2.50, but we paid for it anyway. Bottom line: Food was 2.5. Customer service was 2.0. They could have not given in and made more of a fuss about our bill and what we wanted. So 2.0 stars. I would not go back unless I had too, and I don't think I'll ever have too. I'm open to going to other Kelsey's though I have low expectations. read more

Awful Service, waited almost an hour for a burger, nachos and a salad, despite the lack of customers in the restaurant. Service staff was painfully disorganized and slow as customers decided to leave rather than wait a minute longer to be seated. The quality of the food was also lacking as all of our food was cold before we even got around to having it. In summation I believe that the management needs replacing and the staff needs MUCH more training. As an employee in the food service industry I believe that the management should show some backbone and start training the staff properly, but we all know that isn't going to happen, is it? read more

Went here for a late dinner (around 8:30 PM) and the service was extremely slow. We were a group of 12 people and the food came one hour after we ordered. Perhaps they did this so that everyone got their meal together - but it made all of us impatient. The waiter only spoke to one person - aka the person who was paying for everything. While he did repeat his orders, I can tell he was tired and grew impatient. He became rude while taking our orders. The food was disappointing. I only enjoyed the spinach dip but my portobello burger was very disappointing. I could've made it by myself at home for a cheaper price. The bread was too thick and dry. It barely had any fillings. On separate occasions, they gave me a difficult time redeeming Scene points first time then Ultimate dining card from Airmiles second time. I was told the card number was invalid. Food is great, but what turn me off is one of the young girls walk by table(customers left and their plates on table). I have eaten there 200 times over the past 32 years. Each time lately it has gotten a bit worse. This week it really hit rock bottom. The place is understaffed ( they don't have a hostess after 8pm) so after waiting 10 minutes we seated ourselves. The server was very nice but was incompetent and it took over 40 minutes for an appetizer to arrive. Food quality was OK but if they cut the portions of the salmon entrée any smaller it would be invisible. The place needs to be updated. It is old and tired and even smells tired. The server knew we were upset and brought out her manager who offered us compensation and we refused. When our check came our $97 bill was $157. another error made by the server. I think that if Kelsey's has to reduce staff and portions and cant afford to clean the place up they should just close or perhaps change their whole business model. read more

Literally RIGHT off the highway, this is a convenient Kelsey's location. It's really big inside with multiple levels so it doesn't get that warehouse feel to it. They have a patio and a big parking lot and lots of windows so there is tons of natural light. Other than that, it's just a standard Kelsey's. Typical food, typical service, there is nothing that really stands out about this location compared to any other Kelsey's location anywhere. read more

It looked more like a frozen food entrée from down the street at Gordon Food Service than a baked macaroni. Went to celebrate my daughter's 10th b-day last night. It was ok. Tried to download the app prior to coming for a free appetizer but that takes 24 hours apparently to process. Food was bland to be honest. They got our burger order wrong (but they did acknowledge it). For a kid's dessert they gave us those push up ice creams. I asked about their promotion with SCENE and they said it hasn't started yet. I asked about specials and was told burgers are "a couple dollars off". The staff were friendly and bathrooms clean so that helps. But was a little disappointed overall. With so many places competing for your business, Kelsey's you need to step it up! read more

We come here often since the kids love it. Food is what you'd expect for a roadhouse type place. My youngest eats the cheese burger and the eldest likes the cheese pizza, even if it is microwaved. Staff is good and friendly but again tipping is key in getting good repeat service. Ask for Gitte and you'll get exceptional service. Patio is available in the summer. read more

Ordered the roasted tomato and pepper soup, the soup itself was thick and tasted good but there wasn't much to it for a $7 soup, the "croutons" it came with were at best pieces of stale chewy bread thrown into the soup. The entree I had was the "Fire Grilled Sirloin with 'Loaded fries.'" Where do I start. The sirloin itself was cooked well, but unseasoned and presented carelessly on the plate. Loaded fries? What a joke. They were lukewarm fries served with gravy a couple pieces of onion and some shredded cheddar cheese sprinkled on top. The portion of fries was also not up to snuff, there was very few and most of the plate bare. For $25 I expected more. I will fornsure not be returning to this location and Kelsey's food in general is very underwhelming and uncreative. Other locations, like the one in Georgetown, are much better but not to say good. The only thing saving this review is the staff who served me. Marci M was very friendly and loved my nephew and came over and made him smile and made sure we were not without anything. Got the spinach dip and sirloin steak with kettle chips unreal meal and would recommend to eat here , steak is cooked to perfection and easy to cut , spin dip is okay would rather have baked and crispy pita bread not floppy soggy bread and didn't get any refills on drinks the whole time I was here but overall good place to eat ! read more

Kelsey's is Kelsey's, so you sort of know what you're going to get. The prices are ok but the staff is usually very friendly here.

We have been to this restaurant on numerous occassions and generally been pleased with the service. I usually test a waiter / waitress on their attentiveness by placing a finished glass of diet coke at the table edge and see if it catches their eye. If not, they fail the test and the tip drops. Just a quirk of mine. At this Kelsey's probably 30 % of their staff have lost tippage with us when I have to ask for a refill. Otherwise, the food is adequate for this type of restaurant and order to plate time is reasonable. There is a lot of parking available at this location, which is why you may encounter a 45 minute wait prior to being seated at this location. read more
