Not the best I've ever had but certainly right up there. Lots of corned beef with very hot potatoes. Our server was polite & efficient just the way I'd expected a server should be. A very low-key, casual all-day breakfast diner. Lots of activity on weekends. It was packed early on Saturday morning. It was lovely to see the staff interact with regulars. What can you say about Diner food. It's usually hit and miss and the hits are the attitude of the staff - Normally! LOL! This place isn't going to blow your gastronomic socks off but if you are looking for place for burgers, sandwiches and specials of the day, you might have just found the place. Louis and his boy runs a great place and their Greek food rivals places on the Danforth. I had their homemade chicken souvlaki and those plump and juicy chicken chunks were good! This was amazing! The portion sizes were very big. The food came out pretty quick for being such a busy Saturday brunch crowd. I had the pork souvlaki sandwich with pita. It was so good! The pork was tender, juicy and full of flavor. The side of fries were perfectly crispy. I didn't mean to eat the whole thing but I sure did. My hubby ordered the pork schnitzel with home fries. It smelled amazing but he finished it so quick; I didn't get a taste! He said it was so good. The waitress was amazing and very attentive. Everything was great and I can see why the reviews are pretty amazing. While we were there, so many people had to be turned away because they were at capacity. We were in the area on a Sunday morning and this place had good reviews for a breakfast spot. Upon entering, this restaurant was fully packed and we knew something good was going on here! The waitresses quickly cleaned up a few tables and were seated within a few minutes. I ordered the Breakfast Combo 1 (~$12) and it came with 3 eggs, 1 pancake, sausages, homefries, AND toast. This breakfast was huge but delicious and I did not have too much trouble finishing it all..with the help of my husband of course. Usually when we go for breakfast spots and we have the choice of bacon, sausage or ham.. you are given one or two slithers of meat... but nope.. not Louie's.. I was given FOUR juicy sausages. Such good value. The pancake was nice and fluffy.. just the way I like them! The toast comes buttered with an assortment of jam/honey in a bin above each table. All of the servers were very friendly and efficient. Customers are in and out relatively quick. Would definitely recommend anyone in the area to try their breakfast! read more

If this were the early guild days, where people would hang out a shingle to indicate what sort of trade they followed, Louie's would have hanging over its door a Greasy Spoon. It is a diner at its core, with a straightforward breakfast menu and a regular lunch menu. It's located in a plaza on Steeles and has been a regular location for several years now. I rarely go there, as when I usually go for breakfast I go with the wife and she doesn't like it. There's a regular clientele who knows what they want and turn through their complimentary Sun when they're solo or chat amicably when they're in groups. Clusters of families sit around tables and sometimes the tables by the window will see a group of empty nest moms chatting over their eggs and sausage. It's a great place to grab breakfast or lunch. Brunch, I'd say not so much. Dinner, definitely not as it's never opened past three. But a good place. I was honestly surprised to find out it had a web site. read more

Ok so this is the best place for breakfast. THE best! Why? Everything is fresh. The eggs taste like eggs. The pealmeal bacon is awesome - great portions! And the potatoes - you actually taste the potato. Probably the best home fried potatoes because you actually taste the potato and it's not covered up with onions and peppers. Coffee is great! This is a little tiny place located in a strip mall in Milton. We decided to give it a shot because there's a lot of very nice Yelp reviews. On Sunday, like any other place in the GTA, it's busy. Really busy. I have a secret theory that most people in Ontario are incapable of making breakfast for themselves and have to go out somewhere. Of course, Lee and I are part of this problem! Anyhow, incredibly packed. This place has less than 20 tables, and there was a group of 10 that wanted to sit somewhere. We were resigned to a very long wait, when the party seemed to have some sort of argument about whether they were going to all eat together or if they were just going to eat now and let their friends fend for themselves. During this chaos, one of the waitresses motioned us over to a table. Food was delicious and hearty. Lee got a pancake combo, with a lot of delicious breakfast foods. I got eggs benny. The eggs were cooked perfectly, but the hollandaise was a bit broken .. but it was still good, and I was hungry and not picky. My only qualm was that coffee refills were very rare, I only got one refill the entire time, and I thought that we weren't going to get one at all. Part of this was caused by large tables coming in and getting the waitress distracted. Overall though, a great place for breakfast, and the prices are hard to beat. read more

Had an awesome breakfast here! Staff are friendly and keep the diner moving. It's a very small location with limited seating so the staff knows how to be polite but also push customers politely to keep tables moving. Portions are huge and the quality is excellent, I had the steak and eggs and the steak was huge! For 14.99$ you get a large steak, 3 eggs, toast and home fries. Steak was juicy and cooked the way I requested. If I'm back in Milton I'll definitely come back! If you see a line, it's worth it and you won't have too long of a wait! read more

This is our first time at Louie's. Came on a Saturday morning just before 10AM to enjoy some yummy breakfast. Based on reviews, Louie's is better than Troy's diner so we thought we should give this place a go. They were almost fully packed when we arrived so we waited roughly 2-3 minutes to get seated. I had a yummy greek omelette with home fries and no bread and my bf had their eggs, 6oz NY steak with eggs, toast and homefries. I agree with others that this place is rather small but it sure makes up for it in quality of food. Service was good as well, no complaints there. Overall a great breakfast joint!!! We will be back. Once again we find ourselves back here for breakfast. Once again the satisfaction level at this little place is great for a neighborhood diner. I had the western sandwich and added some cheese. Now i expected a slice of the ever classic american processed cheese, but what i got was a big helping of fresh cheddar that melted through my sandwich and took a normal breakfast sandwich to an early morning culinary delight. Now my son had food too, but i must admit i was so focused on this sandwich i dont remember much past the fact he was eating........Am i a bad dad for that? Went for Sunday (after a Saturday night party) and found the perfect hangover breakfast! Sunday morning, as other reviewers said, was very busy...like lined up out the door. But the wait wasn't even close to as long as I thought it would be, and the staff there are damn surgeons at knowing exactly who's seated next even if half the people are waiting outside! Louie's is A-OK in my books. It is a bustling diner on the weekend mornings with families and those that work in the trades. You wont find wine and caviar here. It is strictly good breakfast grub with equally fast and attentive service. Thick bacon and eggs, with potato hash, and a cup of joe. Coffee is a solid cup of joe and bottomless. The place is great if you are on the way to go snowboarding or skiing for the day at Glen Eden, as they open quite early (6am) and close early in the afternoon.
