Recently moved into the neighbourhood and have since come here twice for breakfast! They are located in downtown Milton, so there is roadside parallel parking, and also a parking lot nearby. The restaurant is bright and large, with tables to accommodate large and small parties. Comfortable and service is great. The vibe is casual. Do note that they are exceptionally busy during weekend lunch time, and Saturday mornings! Be patient and expect to wait for table, and food. The two times I came was on an early Sunday morning and a Friday morning, and both experiences were fantastic! Neither time was busy yet so we were quickly seated and served. We can here the weekend right after patio dining was opened. We arrived at 9am and I recommend an early meal because the sun is still not very strong and you can enjoy the outdoors. The staff is very accommodating and patient. They do have contact tracing where you have to scan a QR code before sitting. The service is pretty quick and the portion sizes are very large. The Not So Great Stuff Had to wait quite a while for our food (30min+)and I was starting to get hangry! Im thinking closer to a 3.5 than a 4 So we came here for brunch around 1pm. The place is clean, bathroom clean, I see why there would be a wait on weekends as it's a pretty small restaurant. Which meant food took a bit to come out. My partner doesnt eat dairy or meat at all which would include eggs. So she asked for eggs on the side cause i was gnna have them. The server said no problem. What did she do? Bring it with egg anyways and says oh he still put the eggs is that ok? I mean if it was ok we would not have asked for no egg. Second thing we ordered the banana walnut pancakes to share , which never ever made it to our table. When we are paying the bill and putting on our coats, thats when the server comments " guess u didnt want those pancakes huh". I was super annoyed because why wouldnu wait until now and ask that. Yummy in my tummy! I'm always excited to get home fries, but 4/5 times, they turn out mushy and lacking spice/seasoning. These did not disappoint! They were crunchy and I believe seasoned with Cajun. Rude lady +55 age in their staff and they gave us a table to sit beside the bathroom when they had better spaces available. Secondly the table was also made of steel and a spare one which was not a wooden table like all other tables in the restaurant. The waitress was very rude, she took our number and said, wait for 30 min or less and we will call you as soon as any table is available and if you don't pick up the call we will move on. What a cute little diner located in downtown Milton! Thanks to Yelp for leading us to this great find. My friends and I came here for lunch/brunch after spending the morning hiking in Rattlesnake Point Conservation Centre, which is only 10 minutes away. It's not very big, but it's brightly lit and still spacious enough that the dining experience is pleasant. We were four ravenous girls after our hike, so we ordered a LOT of food, all off their all-day breakfast menu. Every single thing we got was so so so good. French toast, omelette, skillet, and mini crepes. The french toast and omelette each came with a side of the most AMAZING home fries... they were lightly seasoned with I don't even know what, but a wonderful combination of seasonings and flavours, and they came out nice and hot and slightly crispy on the outside. Quite possibly the best home fries I've had in a long time, or maybe even like ever. I got the Grill Daddy skillet and thoroughly enjoyed it. It had home fries, ham, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, cheese, and Hollandaise sauce all baked together in the skillet. I preferred the home fries when they were just on their own, but this dish was still very, very satisfying, and the Hollandaise sauce was delicious. My order came with a fruit cup which was a substantial size. All of the fruits were very fresh. Honestly the quality of the food was so good, I wonder if they source it locally or something. Overall, I left super impressed with the food, service, and portion size. It was a little pricier than even some places in Toronto, with my skillet being $13.25 before tax. This is a lovely spot for breakfast on a wet and blustery Sunday morning! I ordered the Grill Daddy special, which was a standard Eggs Benny with peameal. This differs from their regular Eggs Benny which normally just has ham. It was a good benny, but my only complaint is that although they asked for my preferred level of egg poachiness (I said soft, because there's nothing better than a nice runny egg in your benedict,) the eggs were pretty much on the hard side. That was a little bit of a disappointment in what was a good breakfast otherwise. Their home fries are really nice, with that "magic dust" spice mix on them. Not too salty but not too bland. Lee got the pancake special, which was two pancakes with bacon and eggs. He was served a small pile of bacon, which he was really delighted with. It was cooked to his perfect level of doneness, and the pancakes were really good, fluffy and light. Service was very attentive, despite it being really busy. I had my coffee refilled before I could take more than a couple of sips! So if you're in the area, this is a wonderful spot for a filling breakfast meal. read more

The restaurant is quite small so I'm assuming it would be pretty packed during rush hours. We arrived at noon so there were a few empty tables. The waitress came by and promptly got our drink orders in. He got a coffee and I got an orange juice. We decided to share the Milton breakfast special because it was a huge portion. I highly recommend this special if you and another friend are hungry. We didn't finish everything! We went Sunday around 3pm (closes at 4) and despite showing close to quitting time I didn't feel rushed and the waitress acted like we were the first customers of the day. I had one egg scrambled, sausage, home fries and rye toast and the hubs had 3 sunny side up, bacon, home fries and rye. The portion was very big for the price. The best part for me was the home fries as they were seasoned very nicely. My husband was wowed over everything and would not shut up about it. He kept asking the waitress (very nice and patient btw) if they get the food local because it's different from Toronto. He finished what I couldn't eat too! This place is obscenely good. The home fries are likely the best I've ever had and the remaining food makes me feel like I'm about to be immediately struck down for the sin of gluttony. Somehow Grill Daddy has made breakfast the most hedonistic experience of my day and I'm both ashamed and excited to return. We've been twice and the experience was identical. There is nothing bad we've seen on the menu and the staff are really great. Street parking only, but we usually find a spot without issue when coming here or one of the other places nearby. While enjoying every sip of the warm delicious coffee we noticed most of the visitors knew the staff and homely place for many people. So many choices in the menu and sound delicious. This was a pretty good place. We ordered pancakes, eggs, sausage, ham and fries. I originally wanted waffles but they turned off the waffle iron 1 hour and a half before service was over. That was disappointing but the pancakes were amazing. The sausages and ham were delicious and the pancakes were too. We had the pleasure of dining in at Daddy's early morning Sunday over the Canada Day long weekend. I was suckered into the idea that camping can be in the same sentence as 'fun' and we were on Milton campgrounds when I realized a drive to a nearby all breakfast can improve the experience, despite it being taboo in girl scout's logic. They were so good my son stole half of them. The pancakes were fluffy with a light sprinkle of icing sugar. The sausage was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and delicious all around. It was a true pork pleasure, or even a divine swine. Each serving came with an orange slice to top it all off, which was also very fresh and juicy.
