The two times I came was on an early Sunday morning and a Friday morning, and both experiences were fantastic! Neither time was busy yet so we were quickly seated and served. Staff are very patient and friendly -- there were the 2 owners and 2 other staff. So all the customers were well taken care of. The restaurant was packed. It's small only a few tables. My friend and I grabbed a seat at the high top table. Their menu was larger than expected for a cafe! Quite a lot of options for sandwiches. We both tried the Breakfast Sandwich -- it's a croissant panini-grilled with 2 poached eggs, cheese, hash brown and choice of bacon or sausage. It was satisfying without being too greasy or oily. I had a regular drip coffee with cream. It was ok! They do have a small coffee menu. Not alternative dairy. Lastly, we tried the Borsch soup! When we learned the owners were Polish, we knew that we had to try the Polish items on the menu. The Borscht was light and fragrant. Loved it so much, we bought a container from their to-go fridge! When I asked for a replacement, I was simply told, "Maybe order something else next time," and was still charged for the meal with no replacement or accommodation offered. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told there was no manager on site that day. To make matters worse, I submitted formal complaints to head office on May 9 and again on May 28, and both have been completely ignored. I tried every opportunity to resolve this privately before posting publicly, but the lack of customer service has been unacceptable.
