    Breakfast with this hot guy
    Kathleen Z.

Food was fabulous! My eggs were poached perfectly and the pea bacon was cooked just right. The tomato tapenade gave a bit of acidity which was a nice balance to the creamy rich hollandaise. My husband said his frittata was delicious and since he spoke very little, that confirmed it was! The side salad was lightly dressed which brought a brute mess to the plate. Not a big fan of the coffee. It was a little more butte than I normally like. But that's just my personal taste.

We went on a weekday so it was not as busy as it gets on the weekend - tried to go on the weekend once in the past and ended up leaving due to how busy it was and that you couldn't get a table. The food was good and VERY filling. Myself and my mom got a soup to start and the pizza we split and it was the perfect amount of food. Just be mindful that this is a popular spot so be expected to wait.

They have a patio area which is convenient for great weather and some tables inside due to the pandemic. I didn't realize it's less of a restaurant as one orders first and the food is brought to you. Pasta, salad, sandwiches and pizza were the main items to pick from. We both ordered pizza, mine without cheese which they let me sub it for sun-dried tomatoes. The pizza dough was not chewy but crispy so I didn't like it as much. They definitely put a lot of toppings which is nice. The washroom was small, but clean. I would go back to try their other dishes. Just don't order their pizza.

We saw this place the cable network and felt we had to try it! There is no patio, inside is a bit warm and stuffy even though we sat by the window. Our table was cleaned for us, the guy that brought our pizza also came back with plates and that was it! We weren't offered water, utensils or napkins! Fortunately, my partner brought kleenex! Will not be back..

On a chilly overcast day, we got two bowls of warm, cozy soup. Chicken/mushroom and pear/squash plus a toasted ciabatta roll. The staff was so nice and gave us two extra bowls so my friend and I could split our soups and we each could try them. The flavors were so good and the roll was nice and light. I also ordered a nanaimo bar that we shared. My expat heart and stomach was happy and my American friend who had never had one before now wants the recipe.

I've been here several times already and absolutely love their sandwiches! They're generous with the fillings, there are many variations & all the ingredients are top quality. Only thing I'd like is to have a couple of beef sandwiches on the menu - cuz sometimes you're just craving a roast beef or grilled steak variety & I'm SURE these guys would kill it! During COVID, their patio is open. It's spaced out and has very limited seating, but the street is lovely & has several benches around where you could take your food. Or you could drive down the street a little to the Marina & enjoy your meal there. Next time I visit here, I'm going to try a pizza - they look SO GOOD! And Sunday Brunch sounds amazing as well.

I love the name of this Oakville establishment, the Sandwich Society, however I did not like their…read moresandwiches quite as much. Let me preface by saying that their OG The David sandwiches are not bad. The focaccia bread was nice, and the sauce is solid where they didn't overdo the truffle flavours. What they however overdid was the prosciutto. Sometimes in life, less is more. They just went 'ham' with layers upon layers of what tasted like the cheap San Daniele prosciutto (according to the website they used ones produced by local Niagara farmers), where in parts of the sandwich that didn't have the mozzarella cheese, the sandwich was inedible because it was so salty. By eating the entire sandwich, I would have exceeded the entire week's sodium intake. By the end, I had to throw a quarter of the sandwich out since it was so heavy and salty. Had they invested in higher quality prosciutto and included just two or three layers of it, it would have been a pretty good sandwich. I remember, outside the restaurant they said something along the lines of if someone ate a sandwich from Sandwich Society, he/she would not regret it like their EXs. But after having one, I experienced a certain degree of buyer's remorse. Remember, "we don't eat sandwiches because we are hungry. We eat sandwiches because we are members of a Foodie app called Yelp."

I know a lot of people have reservations paying top dollar for just a sandwich, but I'd say the quality of ingredients and flavourful sauces is totally worth it. I always get the holy cow sandwich with vamp sauce, but will occasionally get the chicken sandwich with lunar sauce. I did try the lemonade they had once, but to be honest, it doesn't quite fit my palate. The lemonade has some sort of seasoning in it. If you've had lemonade from East Asian restaurants, you would kind of know what to expect. They also give you a discount card that you can show for an extra 15% off when you visit. If you're in the area looking for a quick bite, I'd give this place a shot.

This was a hearty sandwich, well over a pound on arrival I'd say. Unfortunately, it was delivered rather cold but not their fault. The toppings options were very varied and appreciated but the sauce could have been more generously applied. This sandwich was crazy filling. The bread was fresh, soft, and sturdy.. and the patties were flavourful. I'm not a vegetarian but I was very satisfied with them and happy I chose this over chicken or beef options. Pricepoint is a big high for a veggie sandwich but I truly feel there is high value in their product.. Need to go in and remove the delivery from the equation for a clear review

Nice and clean inside, the staff was friendly and very helpful with the menu. I decided to get a karaage side dish and a bbq pulled pork sandwich. The fried chicken was nicely seasoned and complimented with the mayo dip. The bbq pulled pork was very tasty but was a bit messy to eat with the sauce and the bun. Overall, I think this place is good and would love other things on the menu especially their milkshakes.

Mind you the reviews were all old over a year ago. Since COVID I do noticed most restaurants quality post COVID has gone down. Ambiance: It's pretty small with a few tables. Decor is pretty cute and modern. Also super clean with one unisex washroom. You order at the counter and seat yourself like a fast food place. Service: Service was good. The lady took our order and the food came pretty quick. We also got there at 1:30pm so it was empty. Food: We ordered a easy as pie milkshake which is like you apple pie in a milkshake! Pretty cool idea. The pics on the website looks great. However in reality it didn't look like the website pic at all. Just white milkshake. There are tiny chunks of apple/ cookies and a hint of cinnamon. But overall tasteless and not sweet. It's was like I was drinking ice milk with some texture. I was not impressed. We only took a couple of sips and it left a weird after taste so we didn't end up finishing it To share we got the Kimchi poutine. It was essentially fries that were not that crispy soaked with Kimchi and some mayo on top. It was ok a little underwhelming. The 3 sandwiches we got were different so we can try them all: 1. Sriracha honey Karaage chicken sandwich. The chicken was a bit soggy maybe from the sauce. The bun was fresh. The lettuce inside was a bit wilted. 2. Pho beef banh mi sandwich. The beef was a bit dry and the banh mi was tasteless with no flavour 3. Bbq pull pork sandwich. It was sweet and flavourful but again too much sauce made the sandwich a bit soggy. Pricing is fair. But probably won't come back. For $50 I can get better food elsewhere.
