Hero sandwich
Charles Y.

Almost $12 for a great sandwich. 12" whole wheat with roast beef, Turkey, ham, provolone and loaded with optional toppings! They have a wide variety of signature sandwiches or you can make your own. The service is great, polite and informative. It was my first time there and the teller explained to me how to order and what was popular which helps a lot with so many options. 12" is good for lunch and a snack later. A dense hearty sandwich. Check this place out!

I was so looking forward to eating here, after reading the website! I was at my Dr's in Oakville, so I checked it out. I love a good Reuben..... Which, according to the website, they have. Unfortunately, they don't. I ordered a pastrami with Swiss cheese, etc., and Butternut squash soup. What a huge disappointment this sandwich was. Pastrami was less than average quality, and these are very expensive sandwiches, so my expectations were higher. And. I swear there was no cheese at all.... I asked a staff member, who said that they steam the sandwich so the cheese melts.... Which, for the record, does NOT make it disappear btw.... But I gave up. Soup was good. Best part was the drink machine. I have literally NEVER seen so many coke flavours in my life! There were 7 types of Coke Zero! That was awesome! But, at these prices and quality, I can't imagine going back. The fact that I haven't heard back from the owner is also a big disappointment. Guess they're resting on their laurels and aren't worried about customer feedback.... Too bad!

Very nice spacey spot

This place really is a hidden (not so hidden) gem in Oakville. Me and some work colleagues decided to give this place a try on our lunch break and we're happily surprised by the quality of their sandwiches. I don't know how they did it but they have outdone any sandwich place I've been to so far. They're theme is all about and firefighters, with clever names for the samdwhices and salads it was really tough to pick something to try. I had the salad which came in a HUGE portion, And my colleagues had the subs which they absolutely loved because it was mostly meat and less veggies ( as they should be) I'll definitely be coming back anytime I have time to pass by this place! Oh and the manager can be found everywhere between the kitchen, the prep area and the tables making sure everything and everyone is doing great

Great, hot and fresh subs with plenty of topping options! I love the meatball sub with spicy sauce and pepperoni.

Very clean and friendly. We paid nearly $35 for two medium subs with one drink + chips and two kid combos.

They bring your order to you, but if you need a coffee refill, or milk and cream, you need to pick them up yourself at the station. Coffee refill was a challenge for us, since we had to go through all other tables and wait for the staff to refill our coffee, and even there were times they were out of milk and had to drink our coffee black. We ordered "Key West Eggs", "Crepe au Fraises", "Slow Roasted Lamb" and "Canadian Peameal Back Bacon". Our food was delicious and we would love to go back and try more of their menu items. Just expecting delays for our coffee this time. Lol

I love the name of this Oakville establishment, the Sandwich Society, however I did not like their…read moresandwiches quite as much. Let me preface by saying that their OG The David sandwiches are not bad. The focaccia bread was nice, and the sauce is solid where they didn't overdo the truffle flavours. What they however overdid was the prosciutto. Sometimes in life, less is more. They just went 'ham' with layers upon layers of what tasted like the cheap San Daniele prosciutto (according to the website they used ones produced by local Niagara farmers), where in parts of the sandwich that didn't have the mozzarella cheese, the sandwich was inedible because it was so salty. By eating the entire sandwich, I would have exceeded the entire week's sodium intake. By the end, I had to throw a quarter of the sandwich out since it was so heavy and salty. Had they invested in higher quality prosciutto and included just two or three layers of it, it would have been a pretty good sandwich. I remember, outside the restaurant they said something along the lines of if someone ate a sandwich from Sandwich Society, he/she would not regret it like their EXs. But after having one, I experienced a certain degree of buyer's remorse. Remember, "we don't eat sandwiches because we are hungry. We eat sandwiches because we are members of a Foodie app called Yelp."

I know a lot of people have reservations paying top dollar for just a sandwich, but I'd say the quality of ingredients and flavourful sauces is totally worth it. I always get the holy cow sandwich with vamp sauce, but will occasionally get the chicken sandwich with lunar sauce. I did try the lemonade they had once, but to be honest, it doesn't quite fit my palate. The lemonade has some sort of seasoning in it. If you've had lemonade from East Asian restaurants, you would kind of know what to expect. They also give you a discount card that you can show for an extra 15% off when you visit. If you're in the area looking for a quick bite, I'd give this place a shot.

This was a hearty sandwich, well over a pound on arrival I'd say. Unfortunately, it was delivered rather cold but not their fault. The toppings options were very varied and appreciated but the sauce could have been more generously applied. This sandwich was crazy filling. The bread was fresh, soft, and sturdy.. and the patties were flavourful. I'm not a vegetarian but I was very satisfied with them and happy I chose this over chicken or beef options. Pricepoint is a big high for a veggie sandwich but I truly feel there is high value in their product.. Need to go in and remove the delivery from the equation for a clear review

Mind you the reviews were all old over a year ago. Since COVID I do noticed most restaurants quality post COVID has gone down. Ambiance: It's pretty small with a few tables. Decor is pretty cute and modern. Also super clean with one unisex washroom. You order at the counter and seat yourself like a fast food place. Service: Service was good. The lady took our order and the food came pretty quick. We also got there at 1:30pm so it was empty. Food: We ordered a easy as pie milkshake which is like you apple pie in a milkshake! Pretty cool idea. The pics on the website looks great. However in reality it didn't look like the website pic at all. Just white milkshake. There are tiny chunks of apple/ cookies and a hint of cinnamon. But overall tasteless and not sweet. It's was like I was drinking ice milk with some texture. I was not impressed. We only took a couple of sips and it left a weird after taste so we didn't end up finishing it To share we got the Kimchi poutine. It was essentially fries that were not that crispy soaked with Kimchi and some mayo on top. It was ok a little underwhelming. The 3 sandwiches we got were different so we can try them all: 1. Sriracha honey Karaage chicken sandwich. The chicken was a bit soggy maybe from the sauce. The bun was fresh. The lettuce inside was a bit wilted. 2. Pho beef banh mi sandwich. The beef was a bit dry and the banh mi was tasteless with no flavour 3. Bbq pull pork sandwich. It was sweet and flavourful but again too much sauce made the sandwich a bit soggy. Pricing is fair. But probably won't come back. For $50 I can get better food elsewhere.
