I called the establishment and let them know where to look (I can see the location of my earbuds) and they told me "tough luck, they aren't here.." Mediocre food, small portions for the price, indifferent service. Went to dinner on a not very busy Monday evening. The hostess directed me to to the bar to place my to-go order where I proceeded to wait patiently for about 10 minutes, being ignored by the bartender. (I'm okay with being busy but to not make eye contact, give me a cheery little wave and say, "I'll be with you in a moment." Unacceptable.) The hostess finally came back over and told me she would take my order. When I got back to my hotel, I unpacked my small salad (roasted beet and goat cheese), my "add shrimp" (for $11 I expected a few more shrimp and my tablespoon of salad dressing. The picture of the salad in the menu boasted spiced pecans. I was hard-pressed to find pecans in my salad; if I had to guess, I'd say there was one whole one that was chopped pretty small. The beets had the consistency of canned and there were about 6 blueberries. For $29 plus tax, I guess I expected a little (lot) more. The only thing it has going for it is it's close to my hotel. Went to milestones about 3-4 times during my trip to Toronto, Ontario...... and EVERY single time I was definitely satisfied. Would definitely stop by the next time I'm in Canada!! The options for food and drink where wide enough for me to never have the same experience each time I went. However, concise enough so that I wasn't overwhelmed. The staff were really nice, and attentive but it consistently did take a minute to initially get their attention. The venue is somewhat of a classy sports bar and restaurant. TV's are on in various corners but it isn't so loud as you wouldn't be able to hold conversations and such if sports aren't your thing. read more

My rating is 3.5 stars. It still amazes me that I have visited a bunch of places and never got around to doing reviews for them. This Milestones restaurant is one of them. I do have a good reason for missing this review until now. When I was last there, it was a few hours before I took a plane off to Winnipeg for my vacation. It was in July 2016. I parked and walked in. I remember waiting a bit before I got seated at a comfortable booth. It's got a darker atmosphere inside, so you may need to adjust our eyes for a brief period. I ordered the following: - The captain's coconut calamari - Beef bolognese - Chocolate ganache cake with caramel sauce The captain's coconut calamari was yummy. I love coconut and calamari. They worked well together. I had the beef bolognese, which had linguine noodles. The dish looked small at first, but it was filling. I liked it. For dessert, I got the chocolate ganache cake. It came with caramel sauce. I loved the cake. I have never been a huge caramel person, so I left most of it there. It was a decent late lunch before boarding a flight. The service was great the manager even changed the channel on the tv as I requested to watch a ball game, but my dinner was nasty my husband said he enjoyed his. the management on this place sucks. i ordered a sirloin and it came with mashed potatoes, they were dry asf and tasteless and absolutely no salt. tasted like cardboard. when we asked them about it they just said "you have to pay for the gravy" which is dumb but the manager was very rude about it. besides that, the place just feels like it's for old retired people. not my cup of tea, i wouldn't even bother thinking about coming here. over priced and mediocre. could get a better meal at swiss chalet. read more

There's plenty of parking but the lot is kind of squished, close to makimono is this milestones. It's definitely not bad, we were seated right away, and given our choice of where to sit. I got the California burger with fries on the side. The portion of fries were plentiful, and the burger was huge. The pairing of the avocado with the burger went perfectly. Three different people, I think one was a supervisor all checked on us throughout our meal. Milestones definitely did really well with service. However, where they could've improved was cleaner cutlery, being in a happier enthusiastic mood. I remember reading a review where someone complained someone's smile and attitude was fake - now, usually I'm not for a fake smile either but this is a business ... do you want someone to be upset taking your order? Also, usually people use a napkin to bring you a straw, I asked for a straw and the server just grabbed it. This isn't a huge, huge deal but it'd just be something to note for improvement. Nice place. Really big. Not as busy as my usual milestones for friday lunch but that's not here or there. Girl at the bar was really good, professional polite etc. Had the shrimp, amazing as usual. Beer was a little flat today, yet foamy. Didn't enjoy it, weird. But all good as all milestones are. Friday five dollar pints rock. That's like forty percent off. Great deal. As are the happy hour deals, five buck pints daily three to six, or at least weekdaily. Stay classy, milestones! read more

I went here in 2017 for a holiday get together, and as you can see I was only sorta good with it. We went here again in 2018 for another get together, and it went much better. They seem to have done a remodel in the time between reviews, and it seemed like they improved the food while they were at it. Service was still great, and everyone was happy. Had lunch with a client here today, Oct 2/15. This is a decent restaurant in terms of size & style. The menu is very limited & is lacks a decent nutritious lunch selections. I decided to go with the Crispy Chicken sammy w no mayo & coleslaw on the side. Glad I did...the coleslaw was burn-your-head-off hot. WAY too hot for the sandwich in my opinion at least. My piece of chicken was destroyed. It was dry & over cooked by a lot. Normally I would have said something & sent the food back but not with a client. I guess you live & learn. I will preface my review with the initial waiter indicating they were busier than usual and sorry for the wait. The initial wait wasn't that bad. The staff was clearly rushed and trying to deal with a larger than expected number of people this Wednesday evening. Either way, they still need to provide an experience worthy of a $115 meal for two people, which in my opinion, this restaurant did not. My medium rare steak was well done and way too much pepper. They offered me a rose wine when I ordered a zinfandel that was not in stock. They had one cabernet in stock by the glass and they specialize in steak on the menu. My friend's salmon was excellent, moist and a good portion. We had three different servers (not including the person who delivered our food). I asked twice to get our bill which took almost 10 minutes to get. I get they are busy. There are ways to keep your customers happy when you have limited staff - slow down your seating. Put them in the bar temporarily if needed. I've been to other Milestone restaurants and had much better experiences. Fill your wine cellar, teach your cook how to prepare a medium rare steak and when someone wants their bill, get on it. The rest of the waiting and even multiple wait staff is fine if you still get a good meal. Since one of us got a wonderful meal, I still tipped appropriately, but I'm not likely to return to this Milestone restaurant. read more

Came here the other night with my partner for a light dinner. Service here is really bad. We waited quite a while at the front before being seated. Once we got the menus it too the server forever to come over to our table. We ordered drinks and waited for them forever as well. Once she decided to come back for our food orders we were already a bit turned off. Our food came quite quickly but the chicken on my salad was a bit dry and didn't even look like a full chicken breast. After our food was dropped off, the server never came back to the table to check how we were doing. We were ready to leave and I had to ask the hostess to pack up our leftover food and bring the bill. Once the server dropped off the bill she took another 15 mins before coming with the debit machine to the table. Overall this was very bad service at this location and we will not return. I have to visit Toronto quite frequently for work and sometimes stay in a hotel near this restaurant, so I have visited this branch multiple times. Service in general is pretty good, but food quality/standard is mediocre. Last time I ordered the prime ribs, the steak itself was excellent, but the mash potato and the green beans are barely warm. This time I ordered the steak frites. The steak again was cooked perfectly, but the fries were lame and string union rings cold and doughy. I will be honest with you I kind of struggle with their menu as I eat halal meat and they don't have the best dishes available for vegetarian or seafood lovers. Never the less there are few options on the menu to fill your tummy. The location itself is great as the restaurant is setup very nice and looks as high scale restaurant with nice lighting and seats. I was at a trade show at the Toronto Congress Centre next door and we ducked out to grab some lunch at about 1:30pm. it turns out that we weren't the only people with this idea as the place was packed. Unfortunately, that meant it took a while to get service, drinks and food. I ordered the Mayan burger and told them I had a dairy allergy. The burger arrived without a bun. Apparently the buns have milk in them! This was fine, but I wish I was told, or given an option, but I was absolutely starving. The burger was good, not mind blowing, but I enjoyed it. The food is decent and service is very friendly, but seeing as they are right beside a large conference hall that holds thousands of people, they might want to figure out how to serve a full house better. read more

This was the first time at this location. The server was very nice and the the service was fast but at the expense of the food. I have a theory that anything near the airport (chains especially) will probably have a harder time attracting customers (because they are so far north) so the food may be less fresh since they probably order less or not as often. I also experience the lack of food quality with a Boston Pizza in the area. My culinary background has taught me to be proud of a dish and to be strict about what you are serving. At home, being slack is fine because you are serving yourself but this is not acceptable at a restaurant. First, our appetizer -spinach and artichoke dip had a side of salsa fresca and sour cream. I felt like the salsa tasted different and the cilantro that was chopped ( and flat leaf parsley) had had the change to turn brown. I tasted the tomato on its own and noticed a carbonation, thus the salsa had time to ferment which is a sign that it should not be served anymore. The waiter apologized and brought me a new side of the same damn salsa still fermented. He claims they made it today, I hardly doubt it since the herbs had time to decompose a little. Then my main - the seafood salad. Well, salad is really hard to screw up but they managed to do with style! First, since it was close to the end of the night I had nothing on my salad. It said the the salad had avocado, I received a SLICE -that had oxidized to a brownish colour, aka they cut way earlier in the day. My mesculin and salad mix was cut in gigantic chunks (iceberg) and also had bit of rotten salad. The shrimp skewers were not cooked properly one shrimp on the skewers was burnt and the other hardly touched the flame. So, they may have been speedy but to the expense of the customer's meal? I am picky but this was just shameful on the behalf of the restaurant. I definitely do not recommend this Milestones to anyone, unless you are willing to perhaps contract food poisoning. read more

Horrible horrible service! Recently went for a party and the waitstaff were miserable and lazy. Not once did they take my drink order until I asked and never filled up our water. We also asked for a bellini- sans alcohol, and the waitress was adamant that they couldn't do that. What a lie. When we asked for an alternate she rudely tells us there's nothing. So I ordered from the Canada Day special- I got the poutine. It was disgusting. I think there was only 5 chunks of cheese churds. It was so salty I could barely eat it.
