I've dined at Moxies quite a few times, particularly this location in Square one, and I've always had good service and good food. What I like about Moxies is that the menu does change quite a bit and their menu has a global edge to it, so you can come here if you're craving steak, curry, pasta, and so on. For this particular meal, I had a pork belly ramen, which I believe is a newer menu item as I hadn't seen it before. I was craving something soupy that day so I figured I'd try it out. My boyfriend went for a sirloin steak, which was his usual. He said his steak was pretty good. I quite enjoyed my ramen also and was surprised how good it tasted. The pork was a little too thin for my preferences but it didn't matter because the flavour was good. I particularly loved the mushrooms on the ramen. I've had other menu items here such as the vindaloo and the caesar salad, which are other good choices. They also used to have this amazing blueberry cheesecake with the best crumble on top but I believe they retired it. Overall, the food here is very good quality, and it's a safe choice to dine because of the variety of foods they offer. read more

February 25, 2025: Lunch with Slipp. This was such an ordinary lunch from a limited menu. Caesar salad with Cajun Chicken. The chicken was WAY over salted. I was drinking water for the rest of the day! The salad had way too many croutons for my taste as well. I also found the Caesar dressing to be lacking any real taste. Our server was very nice & attentive, so no complaints there. Don't think I'd be in a rush to go to this location again. read more

Service exceeded my expectations, and I enjoyed my dinner here. The dim lighting adds to the ambiance, but having TVs in front of the bathroom entrance feels a bit excessive. I felt the sides for the steak frites could have been more generously portioned. For the nachos, I appreciated that the toppings were evenly spread across each layer, but the extra guacamole ordered lacked flavor and seemed like plain mashed avocado. The chicken wing dish was my favorite--the wings were glossy and crispy, and the celery was refreshing. read more

Obsessed! Omg! Stopped here for lunch on my way to the airport. The clam chowder was chef's kiss! It had bacon in it! Unmatched! I also got the Thai curry prawn noodles and that dish was so good. I always love eating any mushrooms so I got the mushroom sirloin with medium. The beef was perfect for me, not too bloody and it was tender. I also loved the creamy madeira sauce. It tasted delicious when dipped with the sirloin. The fries were so crispy and hot, but the beef wasn't hot enough compared to them. My hubby got the chipotle mango chicken and the chicken breast wasn't dry, cooked and seasoned perfectly, but the grains were quite bland. Also, my parents got the lemon basil salmon and pawn Thai curry laksa. We only tried the salmon and it was quite decent but not a big surprise. I heard the laksa wasn't as spicy as expected and not that good. I guess you shouldn't get the Asian food in a Western restaurant. Lol. The service was amazing. My brother-in-law has a nut allergy so the waiter kindly reminded us that there might be cross-contamination in the frying oil and made sure he was okay. read more

This Moxie located inside square one mall. Nicely decorated with high ceilings and outdoor patio. Foods are above average, however, when we asked for water, the server brought us a spring water that costs $17, which is ridiculous. Moxie's I always liked this chain.. I think that they're on point most of the time .. yesterday we went there for a birthday dinner.. the drinks were very good .. wife had an old fashioned.. and I had a mocktail with a shot of Appleton.. we then had the blackened Maui Maui.. which was good .. but not great.. presentation looked decent( not like the picture) but it was alright.. my wife she had the mango chicken.. looks good presentation was good .. (looked very similar to the picture). The dessert was amazing.. white chocolate brownie of course.. can't go wrong With that.. the server she was on point.. very knowledgeable and friendly.. her name escapes me now .. but she was a young little thing with braces (from the Philippines).. she did her job well.. it's nice to see that.. overall I've always liked moxie's.. most of the time they do a super job.. cheers .. $185 read more

I usually don't do restaurants in malls but moxies is always a pleasant one! Staff are always happy and fast! I was having a bit of a blue day but it instantly turned around once the hostess had a friendly conversation with me! 2 mains, 1 dessert, and one large beer with tip was about $100 which is the norm these days. Everything was fresh and hot! I was very happy to see there was a separate plant based menu option! Easy to navigate and find! Bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen for a food service establishment! Can't wait to go back! read more

So here we are post pandemic dine in and me And my bestie went to meet at square one after work to reward ourselves with good ,delicious meal we went on to 2 different restaurants inside square one ,the first one ,didn't meet our expectations with the menu choices so off course we left and went to moxies grill. Both of us are working in the health care field;hence we are both prepared for the vaccine receipts. Screening was a breeze ,no biggie and no hassle as long as you have your covid receipts so guys go ahead and print it or take a screenshot. I have high expectations at moxies I went there for a company party before and I can still remember it was delicious.A few years later -bringing us today, I told my bestie, let's try it bestie .. Calamari 5/5-good taste and very yummy dip and we didn't expect the additional Shrimps Rigatoni 3.5/5- it is enticing, appetising ;however in the middle you get bored with the creaminess.i didn't finish it. I feel that it's overpriced. Customer service-5/5 very nice welcoming, accommodating staff Good job with the customs service.i wish there can be more options and better tasting menu to have me coming back again especially it's accessible to my work . I'll give it another try in the next few years and see if my review will be higher . Anyhow happy thanksgiving to all read more

Made a quick stop a moxies after a long day of shopping at the mall. We were seated very quickly, it was only a 5-10min wait. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and steak frites with the garlic parm fries. The steak frites come with a chimmichurri sauce - I asked to be put on the side instead of on top of steak because I'm not a big fan of the sauce. It wasn't a too long of wait for the food to come out to and everything came together warm. Sometimes something comes out cold but it didn't in this case. We had the Carmel cheesecake for desert and it was really good. Our server was nice too. read more

I was with my medical school friend in Mississauga. She was raving about this place all day long and said that this is her favorite restaurant of all time. This is a franchise but since I'm not local to Canada, I really wanted to try it. The location we went to was located in Square one mall. We started off with moxie size peach Bellinis and added shots of white Morgan rum to increase the alcohol tolerance to it. For mains we got we mango chipotle chicken and chicken Madeira rigatoni. The food was delicious and I was ready to go home and sleep happy. But she had one more recommendation as you can't end the night without some dessert. We got the white chocolate brownie which was simply just to die for. It's vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce with brownie made out of white chocolate topped off with whipped cream. By far I loved my complete meal here but I could just go back every day for that final dessert. I would give this place a 15/10 and I'm happy I had tour guide that knew exactly what to get. I work in the mall we often come here after work. Did the same today came in with a coworker. Today we ordered a vegetarian power bowl, lettuce bun burger with truffle fries, rose sangria and red wine. Food was good drinks were good but honestly service was terrible had to constantly wave down the server. So I was done eating first they rush in to take my plate while my friend is still eating while we are in the middle of a conversation. My friend eats slowly she finally finishes her burger but still had fries left they come again try to take the plate away while she still has half of her remaining truffle Parm fries we had to grab it off the plate, it was really annoying. Third round they hurriedly take my empty sangria which is fine but took away my glass of water had to ask for another one. We wanted to sit and drinks more but they seemed to be in a rush. Lastly my friend really liked the chocolate martini $13 they serve here so we order it. The drink was completely worthless made by our server not even the bartender, no garnish nothing I was so disappointed and like I said we come here often it's not how they usually make it. Overall service was a disappointment read more

One of the best things about the restaurants at Square One is that they are a great place for social gatherings. Moxie's has good food, as well as a great atmosphere for grabbing drinks and catching up with friends. When I came, I got the lettuce wraps. It's an appetizer, so it's a bit cheaper, but it also has enough substance to leave you with a full stomach. The filling for the wraps (noodles and pickled veggies) was really good, and there was a good quantity of lettuce for the wraps. I like that the guest gets to build the wraps themselves. One critique I had with the dish is that the white, ranch-like sauce tasted kind of out of place with the other ingredients. Additionally, Moxie's is on the pricier side, so entree prices can definitely add up. Our server was great; he made sure to interact with everybody at the table and seemed to really care about how our food tasted. He came back consistently to check up on how we were doing, and was overall really funny and considerate. Verdict: Good restaurant to socialize at because of its prime location in Mississauga. read more

Visited Moxies for Thanksgiving dinner with friends last year. The restaurant wasn't packed which was good. It was a group of 10 people and the server so the server meticulously took our orders but ended up mixing it up as such I ended up with no food by the time others were done with their meal. It's probably a one off situation and the manager came out to apologize and put my meal on the house. So I'll might give them a second chance. The Taco we ordered for the group was really nice. My friends and I went to Moxies yesterday the service was splendid they were all very nice and earnest! Our food looked and tasted amazing! I then ordered dessert and let my friends try it they loved it so much they decided to order it too. Unfortunately, I found something in my dessert and brought it to the attention of the manager I knew it wasn't their fault nor the chef who did personally came to apologize and they gave me another of the same dessert (because it was amazing) plus they paid for our desserts and gave us $25 off the next time we go there! Aside from the accommodations they were wonderful the atmosphere was comforting and we plan on going back around Christmas again! Highly recommend! Still have faith in human kindness! read more

I'm a Moxie's fan and have been to several locations in Mississauga. While the decor in the dining room and bathroom were trendy and modern, the food quality was a downer. Don't get me wrong, the waitress was super friendly and attentive, but if the food is not up to par, I won't waste my money here next time. I came here on a Wednesday for a business meeting and the restaurant was bustling. I ordered the steak salad with bottled sparkling water. I asked for a medium cook on the steak and some pieces were definitely under. There was a nice sear on the few steak pieces that were scattered on top of the greens. The goat cheese pieces were probably bigger than the steak pieces. The crostini could've been toasted, or maybe they were but just not crunchy enough, I couldn't tell. The vinegrette was ok, but overall, the $22 dish did not deliver. I've had good experiences with Moxie's at other locations, so maybe I'll just skip the Square One location next time. read more

Came to this location in Square one mall on a Friday night and it was easy to get a table in the lounge. The service was excellent...the server was very attentive to my restrictions and was able to tell me what was suitable for me. I had lettuce wraps without the noodles and the veggies were supposed to be "saucy" in a teriyaki sauce. It was very bland and not saucy at all. I added hot sauce but did not enjoy it. Hubby had the red Thai curry and also felt it was bland. He said the naan was not typical naan but was good. I was very hungry and asked for sweet potato fries. They were not on the menu but they happily made it for me. After we paid, my hubby realized he forgot to use the gift card we had. Considering we made an effort to come here due to the gift card, we asked the manager to reverse our charge and recharge it with the gift card. Although it was an ordeal (they had to find the correct payment machine and the correct receipt), the manager and server sorted it out. So the service was excellent but the food was mediocre. That's why the rating of 3. Would take a same night reservation and there was a big line for the regular dining room. Arrive early. read more

Moxie's is now located on the newly renovated north side of Square One. The three of us decided to try out their new location to see if service and food has improved. We arrived around 6:45 pm on a busy Friday night and were put on their wait list. It took about half an hour until we were called. Currently they are not taking any reservations because of the large influx of customers coming in. The new Moxie's location has definitely improved from their old location. The restaurant has a modern and comfortable ambiance to it. The wine and floral displays really added an elegant touch to the restaurant. The waiting area is a bit small but you can always wait in the mall and they would just text you when your table was ready. My sister and I both ordered the jumbo shrimp and lobster linguini. My boyfriend got a burger with an upgrade to the poutine and their special beer special. Our server gave us excellent service throughout our stay. He made sure that my sister's picky food requests were satisfied and made conversation with us as well. Our seafood linguini and burger came out pretty fast and tasted delicious! I would definitely recommend you to try out their new location because the old reviews don't mean anything anymore. I want to hold my birthday dinner here but I doubt they will begin taking reservations for the holiday season. read more

Great food and atmosphere if you're looking for something fancy for date night dinner after visiting the mall. Food here is not too heavily priced and the portion sizes are good. The menu offers a bunch of different options including steaks, hand-heads, vegetarian, and gluten free. We ordered the peppercorn steak and a double-stacked turkey sandwich. The steak was tender and juicy while the peppercorn brandy sauce was to die for! On the other hand, the turkey sandwich also tasted great and was too filling for me. read more

It's a rare restaurant that manages to jump between highs and lows so effortlessly, but the end result was a net positive. Before Moxie's moved to its current site in Square One (adjacent to the outdoor fountain and City Centre Transit Terminal), it occupied a spot on the other side of the mall and was a good place to come for lunch meetings. It was also the place where I ate what I still consider to be the biggest burger I've ever ordered in my life, a monstrosity that was piled high with ingredients and was nearly as tall as my face. I had been meaning to get over and try out the spot since their move/renovation, but I only finally had a chance when a group of friends were on town and we were looking for a patio to visit. We breezed in effortlessly and were immediately seated at a nice spot with good views of the fountain. The first thing you'll probably notice are the waitresses. Visions of the former Earl's Restaurant danced in my head as I saw waitresses wearing not-all-there minidresses stalking around looking for customers to serve. Far be it from me to look down on the management for enforcing the dress code, but I nearly choked on my food after witnessing a server stroll past in a skirt so short that, to quote Patrick Stewart from the BBC show "Extras", "I've seen everything. Yeah, I've seen it all." My friends initially opted for a "lettuce burger" (no bun, just everything and meat piled together on a whole head of iceberg lettuce) and a southern fried chicken sandwich (both $16.5), respectively. I settled for a mini salted caramel cheesecake ($5) because I had already eaten prior to coming out, and was a bit disappointed by how small the item was. You'd think for that price they'd give something more than an item that can be downed in three small bites, but beauty over practicality is the norm here, so I shouldn't have been surprised. Both of my friends reported that their sandwiches were good, though the one who ordered the lettuce burger ended up realizing that none of the extras he ordered (and that the server upsold him on) were present on the burger. To their credit, once we notified the server of the problem, he comp'd the first burger and brought out a second a short while later that not only looked much more appealing, but was stacked high with the missing extras (bacon, mushroom and peppers). I ended up eating the first lettuce burger - dinner in reverse - and enjoyed it, though it was incredibly messy and left me with all kinds of sauce and juice running down my hands. The service was very good. Despite our server making it clear that he was a bit harried with other orders, he was around constantly and made sure we had everything we needed. Though I only had a chance to go inside the restaurant briefly, I liked the renovated space, though the washrooms still need to have a few kinks worked out. Ditch the brown napkins and stick to the Xcelerator hand dryers, because the wads of paper strewn around the sinks aren't a good look. I was impressed with my visit to the site and will make plans to get back again before the end of summer. Moxie's is usually a very solid place to visit when it comes to patio dining, and despite some underlying trappings of the place that the brand can't (or doesn't want to) get away from, this is a decent option for dinner or drinks. read more

Hey Moxie's Square One! Dinner time! Thought me and my partner come here for some food. We weren't too hungry since we had bbq for lunch but you know... we still hungry for some food. I had "The Burger." It gave me "Licks" flavour. To those who don't know Licks. It was burger joint that doesn't exist anymore, I think. The patty is chuck and brisket hand formed with red relish and pickled mustard seed mayo. The buns also tasted good. The French fries tasted good too. Unsure if it were fried or baked. None the less it wasn't greasy or too crispy nor soggy. My partner had the 7oz angus beef sirloin medium rare. He claims that it was well cooked. Not too chewy not well done. There wasn't too much blood. The seasoning was good. He also got steamed veggies with it. Because it was his birthday, my partner got a complimentary plate of dessert. It was a warmed up chocolate cookie or scone? With a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whip on the side. Our server was GREAT! Her name is Dianna? She was good. Gave her a high tip. She was prompt and friendly. The ambiance is casual. The clothing wear is also casual. Parking space, parking plenty! It's in the mall haha. I would definitely return again :) read more

My most memorable time here was about two hours after I was involved in a six-vehicle accident 400 metres from here. Bonus: They offer drink/food specials after a certain time at night. Review is based on drinks-only, at bar. Moxie's was the place known for scantily dressed waitresses dressed in black, right? Well, it seems like black is still the dress code with plunging necklines optional. Outfits ranged from black tee + pants (standard, serious server) - black turtleneck + tight black skirt + opaque tights (sexy/conservative) - plunging black tank + black jeans (bartender, big tip$ $tatu$). Seeing how there are no existing bars in Mississauga (unless it's a small neighbourhood joint), just resto-bars, we settled on Moxie's 'cause it was open late-ish and was a bit busier than Reds. Crowd was also on the younger side in comparison to Reds. Prices were reasonable for the drink specials, but they were more juice-like imho. No buzz whatsoever. Ordered was a Peach Bellini + Rosé Sangria, Bellini was literally served within a minute of ordering. How? Sexy bartender seemed to have an attitude. Not too big in writing reviews but hopefully this is seen by others. Had the most disgusting experience at Moxies Mississauga Square-One last night. We were a group of 8 people (four couples) who went to celebrate my wife's birthday for dinner. The server gave us a complementary birthday mini brownie ($7 value) which we didn't ask for. Before the bill came, the manager came to our table and asked for my wife's ID to confirm if it actually was her birthday so they can not charge us for the complementary dessert. First we thought he was joking but to our shock he wasn't. It all comes down to how you look and the color of your skin. Had it been a group of white folks, the manager would have taken into consideration the bunch of gifts on the table, the total bill, our profile (4 married couples in 40s) and that this group wouldn't be lying for a cheap dessert. The only explanation for asking us that I can think of is that we were racially profiled. Even our server apologized quietly as he knew this wasn't right. The manager, however, is a disgrace to Moxies franchise - instead of apologizing and de-escalating the situation, he kept arguing. Thank you for screwing my wife's birthday for a $7 dessert. Pathetic and Cheap. We for sure aren't returning back. read more

Went here last Wednesday since our daughter wanted to on her birthday and her attraction was the white chocolate brownie....which did not disappoint, though most of everything else did. Dirty side plates which he had to have replaced A beef vindaloo which should never be served again imo. Then our genius waiter brought a dessert for the birthday girl with 3 spoons when there were clearly 4 of us at the table. read more

There is Demetres, Baskin Robbins, DQ, and then there is Moxies. We stopped into Moxies for dessert after rib fest. The dish is very light and is also tasty. For my drink i decided to go with their lemonade. It is sweet and refreshing. For the main reasons why we were there. I had the sticky toffee pudding and my friends has the white brownie. The toffee pudding is sweet, tasty, and came with a scoop of butter pecan. The brownie was warm, gooey, and yummy as well. You cant go wrong either dessert but the brownie is the fan fav. If you do get these dessert, enjoy! read more

Food: Been here a few times and the food is good. Nothing special/crazy/unique. It is your typical burger/pasta/salad restaurant. The most recent time I went, I ordered the tuna poke appetizer and would I order it again? Heck no. It wasn't extremely horrible, but.... it was pretty bad. I think they put too much sesame oil in the sauce? Not sure. It was different but in a bad way Cant complain about the pastas and burgers though. Atmosphere: Love the atmosphere. Around holiday season they decorate it nicely with a Christmas tree, ornaments, lights, etc. Service: Service is great! Quickly got seated with no reservation, greeted nicely and got checked up on by the waitress and the manager. Price: Bit pricey, especially for appetizers. The Tuna poke was $16.50 for a small portion (photo attached). Recommend? Sure, but it's not a must. read more

I have to start this review with my waiter, Jack!!! I was so impressed by his service and his knowledge of the menu!!! If this guy doesn't love his job he is doing a great job at hiding it. And who doesn't love friendly service!!! The fact that's it's been months and I still remember his name!! Thank you for teaching me a few things and I'm sure I'll be back for the food and for the service. I still remember when moxies first opened on the other side of this mall, the menu has matured since then and the location and atmosphere is much different more vibrant and more colors, very chic yet intimate. The washrooms were clean, the water was hot, and it was cold out so perfect for those freezing cold hands. Let's get back to the food. So I ordered the chicken pasta, sorry I forgot the name but thanks to Jack I know the history of this particular chicken pasta. the myth to the dish is that Moxies chef cooked the dish specially for beyonce the queen b herself. It was the Queens b's favourite dish allegedly. Jack also taught me that the pasta sauce was such a favourite at moxies they decided to make other things with it, like a burger with the sauce on it, can't wait to try it :) that's Def next !!! Well I guess you can say I'm clearly loving this place. I shall be back to try more dishes, hopefully jack is working and can recommend some more great dishes. read more

Went here for Father's Day, and I ordered the Broccoli Cheese Soup, and my dad ordered the Lemon Salmon dish. I was pleasantly satisfied with the food and service. Both were prompt, quality and efficient. I have been here more than a handful of times and I never leave disappointed. The server was very helpful to us, she always checked up on us at good intervals as not to be over bearing. Anyways, after our food we ordered dessert: the classic good ol' White Chocolate Brownie and we got the full size. This is a dessert that I am absolutely in love with and I hope they never get rid of. I haven't even tried the other desserts because I'm so satisfied with this one lol. Anyways, my sister and I finished it pretty quickly and got our bill and paid. Surprisingly, on Father's Day there was ample room for us to sit and we didn't have to make a reservation ahead of time, or wait long for a table. Keep in mind, Mother's Day is usually when tables get booked fast so try to call ahead if you can. There's also ample AMPLE parking right outside :) read more

I've tried a few of the main dishes here in the past (the burger this time), but the real star of the show here is the famous white chocolate brownie. That dish alone would get a solid 5 stars. It's unique, it's delicious, and it doesn't have that overly flour-y taste that 99% of brownies have. This is something you'll definitely want to try. Everything else is pretty mediocre (my burger was a little overcooked and chewy), but I will say that the service at this location is usually pretty fantastic. read more
