We went last night, so I figured it was time for an update. We arrived at around 6:30 last night (Saturday) with no reservation. We were told it would be around 45 minutes until a table would be available, so we chose to sit at the bar and have a cocktail. We were greeted immediately by Vivian who was so friendly and had a huge smile for us. We ordered 2 barrel-aged negronis and had them within about 30 seconds (we noticed the had them pre-mixed, so must be popular). The drinks were delicious, with a nice big twist of frehs orange. After about 20 minutes or so, our table wasn't ready yet so we ordered another couple of Negronis. About ten minutes later, Vivian (without being prompted) went and checked on the progress of our table (so kind). After her prompting, the table was ready in about 5 minutes. We were seated at a high-top in the bar area. Kayla came right over to greet us and took our order straight away since we had peeked at the menu while waiting. I ordered the Diavolo pizza and my husband ordered the NY striploin with mushrooms, gnocchi and arugula salad. Everything arrived quickly and was very good. The steak was a little chewy, but still very tasty. I would have preferred the pizza a little crisper, but it tasted very good. My only complaint is that I asked if I could have some raw onions added to my pizza and Kayla came back to say that the kitchen didn't have any raw onions. That seemed a little strange for a busy, Italian kitchen. We had a lovely time and were more than happy with the service. Both Vivian and Kayla were wonderful! We will be back.

Chop would be fine for a group dinner or a business meeting. Our food was good, everyone really liked the steaks. I had the Halibut and it was overcooked, but tasted okay. The wedge salad and the soups were quite nice, our apps were overcooked and mediocre. We didn't have dessert. Overall, I think we would eat here again. It's better than the hotel restaurant next door, and they have large TVs in the bar. Would not necessarily come out of my way to eat here for a special occasion.

Our server was very pleasant and hospitable as she took us to our corner booth. The appetizer did its job, as the House Dip (made up of spinach & mushroom in a heated cheese dip) and the vegetable gyoza were delectable opening bites. For our mains, my father ordered the Buttered Shrimp Roll, which had a bit of a tasty kick! I had their Smash Burger, which had smoked bacon and crispy shallots; it was an epic combination of crunch and cow in my mouth! The environment was very chill during our meal, as multiple TVs were on display to give us viewing options but not totally overwhelming our dining experience. But it still took 15 minutes before someone came to our table to take our order - so that wasn't the best of starts We ordered the pickled beet salad, baked brie and the pork belly bao buns The salad and bao buns were great but the baked brie was a huge disappointment There was more salad and pear than there was baked brie and we've tasted way way better than what we were served here Given that there are many options around the Cineplex, I don't think I will be back here in a hurry
