Tips: - Happy hour happens twice a day, every day. The first happens between 2 pm and 5 pm. The second is from 9 pm till close. - This restaurant is a part of Sandman Signature Toronto Hotel. - It's the prettiest Moxies I have ever been to. After work, I take backroads home. I take Attwell Drive often. At the corner of this street and Reading Court, I always see the Residence Inn. I didn't know that there was this Moxies at Sandman Signature Toronto Hotel further down until I did a search for Moxies near my workplace. I love happy hour deals these days. I came here after work last Wednesday to check out this eatery. It's at the end of a secluded cul de sac. I actually want to stay at Sandman because it was so beautiful and quiet when I was there. There was plenty of parking. I backed into an available spot and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a cheerful female staffer. She led me to a booth near the corridor to the hotel from the restaurant. It was also where the washrooms were. I was near a couple of women with a baby. The baby was sweet and was quiet. It was my lucky day! This Moxies does have happy hour between 2 pm and 5 pm. I got here just after 3 pm. Perfect! The interior is gorgeous. It's the prettiest Moxies that I have ever dined in. I'd come back just to be in such a beautiful setting. I liked the separate room with the Blue Jays game on. There were a couple of guys watching the game there. Another special detail about this Moxies is that there's a test kitchen menu. It was my first time seeing it at any Moxies. My server was Joe. He was polite and nice. I got these items: - Hibiscus refresher - Dry ribs - Miso tuna crispy rice The hibiscus refresher was a part of the test kitchen menu. I got the non-alcoholic version. It was delicious. The hibiscus was so good with lime and cinnamon flavours. You can add tequila, but I liked it the way that it was. When I lived in Winnipeg, my go-to order was dry ribs with whatever salad I was craving. I relived half of it by getting dry ribs. It was great having them again. They were meaty and yummy, with the perfect amount of seasoning and salt. I was happy! I didn't know what miso tuna crispy rice was. So, I had to order it. It's essentially sushi-like pieces. There were six pieces of perfectly crispy rice mini bricks topped with miso tuna and mayo. I loved the contrast between the crunchy rice and fresh tuna mixture. It was delightful having this appetizer. I needed a drink. The only downside was that my server didn't drop by until I was done with my appetizers. I ordered a Diet Coke when he did, which I got immediately. It was much needed and icy! I was way too full to get any dessert. I got the bill instead. I tipped and tapped. Done! I used the women's washroom before I left. It was super fancy. It had a seating area in the middle of all single stalls. Wow! Burger was very bland & a stale bun. However their fries were great. I ordered the kid pizza to go, it was a good size for a kid pizza, larger than I expected. However bland & needed more sauce. I added veggies but they hardly put any on. Skimpy on the add ons. read more

Moxies is located and attached to Sandman hotel near the Toronto Pearson Airport. I was pleased to find this site down place open at 12am It's actually open until 2am, which was so convenient for me. Let me start with the service. Excellent to say the least. From the hostesses to the waitress. So welcoming and attentive. This is definitely a perfect place for date night. The restaurant section is very quiet and intimate. I was solo but service was still exceptional. They also have a separate bar section that was hopping at this hour. Although I didn't check it out I could see it was a full bar service. I went with the hamburger. This was a nice size and came with seasoned fries. It comes with ketchup but I asked for a side of sour cream. Let's just say I ate every bite! The mean was paired with coke on the rocks. This is a high recommendation. Love this establishment! I came here with a large group and we all were accommodated appropriately and in a timely fashion. Our server was very thorough and patient with all of us. The food exceeded my expectations. I personally ordered a Cobb salad and just look at the material (my photo ). And it tasted just as good, if not better, than it looked and it looked phenomenal. Sending off some friends to the airport early in the morning. Sat on their patio but not really outdoor patio area which was nice (albeit a bit hot in the summer weather). They have a dedicated breakfast menu that isn't listed on the Moxies site for some reason but has about the same things as the brunch menu. Got the blueberry french toast ~$15. If you like DJ music and have a cocktail & nachos with a friend while watching a football game then yes go on the patio, it's a good place. The nachos plate is really big and looked really good, but it so big you'd have to share. I was on my own, had a glass of Pinot Grigio with The Mango Chipotle grilled chicken and it was very tasty. At one point the music was too loud and it was actually making me want to leave but they readjusted. I heard Live DJ on Fridays and Saturdays... Went here with friends one of which had glutten and dairy restrictions. Waitress was wonderful, very much tried to help with food choices for the gluten free meal, couldn't have asked for better. Restaurant was slow so we hoped the chef would clean a spot on his grill for his burger but we were told it wasn't going to happen so our friend just got a bowl of mashed potatoes and a sincere apology from our server. I understand the deep fryer be contaminated but i dont have much patience for somone to lazy to clean the grill for a burger. First off, I would just like to say that I had the best experience with my server Taylor, who was SO kind and attentive! Her outgoing personality really made my day. I came here for lunch with one of my girlfriends on a weekday - it was a little busier in the lounge area, but nothing too crazy. We got our drinks pretty fast once we knew what we wanted - Ordered the Hard Lemonade and a White Peach Bellini (if you want to Moxie size it, it's an additional $4 if you're feeling a little extra something). Food wise, we both ordered the lunch combo, which is a great deal in my opinion. $13 for half a sandwich that is quite decent in size + a side of either soup or salad. We both enjoyed our meal very much. Overall this Moxie was a nice establishment as to be expected, but the quality of service here took it to an extra mile. We walked around after lunch trying to figure out how to kill the 4 hour time gap before we had to return to the airport for the same 9pm flight Air Canada missed for us yesterday. Moxies has an outdoor patio with tall glasses to shield the wind and big umbrellas to provide shade. More importantly, the bench seats have cushions that we could lay on. I chatted with a few staff member, telling them our miserable experience with Air Canada, and they just nodded and allow us to go in. There were only 2 other tables occupied. We sat for a while and eventually crashed on the couches. Woke up 3 hours later and went inside for drinks before leaving. Thanks for letting us homeless staying and not bothering us at all. Used to come here a lot years ago. Went recently but really didn't like almost anything we had. Had the mahi mahi fish with Cajun spices. It was coated in the spice. Couldn't really enjoy the fish. I ordered: Nachos - $18.75, I added pulled chicken for $3 extra. Honestly, I was quite disappointed with this. The chips were over baked, too burnt around the edges and had a burnt flavour. The chicken was completely flavourless. Not enough cheese. & they wanted $3 extra for the smallest amount of guacamole.. That's ridiculous. At least the presentation of the food was decent. My friend ordered: Enchiladas. She said they were good & filling. The service was pretty slow. Took a while to get our waters, and even longer to get our food. We waited around 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Maybe I went at a bad time for the service to be slow, but still no excuse for the food to be burnt. I eat at Moxie's every time I lay over at the attached Sandman Signature hotel. Initially it was just for convenience, since there's not much else in easy walking distance around here. But now I've realized that I really like this place. It's nothing like a typical hotel restaurant, and I'm guessing that it's part of a chain of hip standalone establishments, though I really don't know. Anyway, today I tried the Chipotle Mango Chicken, based off of a Yelp review. It was delicious!! Perfectly moderately spicy salsa, some surprise beets hidden under the quinoa, overall just great. I was stuffed already, but the very attentive servers offered dessert, and I caved. All of their desserts are meant for sharing, but are also offered in a "mini" size for $5. We stayed at the Sandman Signature Airport hotel for a Basketball tournament, so we were in and out of Moxies all weekend. Great restaurant - bright and modern. Extensive drink and food menu. Wonderful staff - Angelica in particular. Superb service and really got to know us and engaged with us over the weekend. A real pro.
