    Dozen oysters

The restaurant was clean, and well lit, we really enjoyed the staff, they were very friendly, knowledgeable, and actually quite funny. The food on the other hand, was fairly similar to a standard steak house. We were brought a bottle of wine which we let the staff know tasted off... but we were told it's fine... the sommelier was brought to the table to confirm that it was indeed not the best quality... then the bottle was taken away. We ordered a second bottle of wine which was much better. I have to say, usually at a fine dining establishment, when something like this happens they take something off the bill or add something as a gesture... this restaurant did not. The tomahawk steak we ordered came out sizzling hot, and was nice, 40% of the weight I think was bone and maybe 25% fat, so it's a big juicy piece of meat. The salad I ordered was drenched in dressing, I wasn't aware that it would be coleslaw instead of an actual salad. Oyster didn't come with any hot sauce, only lemon, bottled cocktail sauce, and a soy ginger dressing like topping that you can see in the picture. We did enjoy the calamari, it was sweet and crispy, and I would probably order this one item again. Overall I doubt we will be going back to this location, or restaurant.

The steaks are well beyond compare and that's a fact. Flavourful and cooked to perfection... At our table we tried the T Bone, Petite Filet and the NY Strip...I'm sure the others are equally lip smacking It would be a nice touch to serve some veggies with the steak. I believe it's the decent thing to do and I'm sure many will order sides anyway Ingrid look after us extremely well and what made her really endearing was the fact that she wasn't shy of acknowledging that she didn't take great photographs (PS: she also thought Winnipeg was in Calgary)

Dry, burnt steak, dry Gratin Potatoes - even they were over cooked.

I have always wanted to try Ruth's Chris, for years now - it was on my to do list after so many people telling me how great it is down south. I was in Toronto on business so this was my chance. :) Meal and service for what you pay was surprisingly sub par, it's supposed to be an experience, this was not, Their service was adequate, it was not spectacular which one expects for this price. I ordered a 16oz Ribeye for the main $98.00. This is prime beef so a great piece of meat however, after cooking, it was burnt black in several areas around the sides, had a hard dry dark crust on outside. Burnt, not charcoal taste was noticeable with most every bite. Is it me?, is that their style, is that normal at this place? The sides I ordered were Gratin Potatoes - these were dry and bland, any liquid was long since cooked away. Second side was what they cal Peppercorn sauce - warning, this not a traditional French Peppercorn sauce - must be an acquired taste - At the end of the day, I paid $205 plus for a meal for one. Other than the prime meat, Everything else including the service could be had at an Outback or Texas Road House. Very disappointed, I can't recommend. I received a form apology saying "sometimes mistakes happen, hope you have a better experience next time - they did not make it up to me. Disappointed after waiting so long.

We go to Ruth Chris quite often back home in DC so we decided to stop here while visiting. So glad we did, the service as always was top tier but the waiter/ bartender was top notch !!! He had even spent time in DC so he made us feel like we were old friends !! The GM even came over to check in on us and made sure we were taken care of

Came to celebrate our anniversary. You know it is a down to earth steakhouse, when there isn't much fancy presentation. All the food were presented without much fancy plating. Both appetisers were too salty. Steak was cooked to perfect medium rare. For our anniversary, we got a very rich and tasty chocolate sin cake, it was complimentary. We also had the bread pudding, it was well cooked.

We went here for our anniversary dinner. The service was good. Food was well done. Everything tasted well seasoned. The only thing is that the restaurant itself and the dishes are not as visually pleasing as other steakhouses (just fyi but would definitely come back for their steaks).

This is the sixth Ruth's Chris Steakhouse location I've been to, and it lives up to the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse name. Everything was excellent! Loved the filet Oscar, the Caesar salad (one of the beet I've ever had), and the vegetables - creamed spinach, steamed broccoli and grilled asparagus. The mini cheesecake was also impressive.

The story of Ruth Fertel is a remarkable one if you ever wanted to learn about it. Ruth's has a loyalty program that gives you 10% of your purchase back which is good for 90 days. I get it, it's an incentive to return and restrictive since you need to use it before your points expire. Recently Ruth's offered a Black Friday/Cyber Monday promo that if you were to purchase up to 250 dollars of gift cards which come in 50 dollar denominations that we would receive up to 125 dollars in loyalty points. That's a lot considering you normally get 10% on any other given time but for this promotion they're basically offering 50% (125 on a 250 purchase). That's substantial and attractive and I ended up going with that and purchased 250 dollar's worth of gift cards on Nov 24th. The promo said to allow for 8-9 business days before receiving the cards through the mail. I was glad that the gift cards came before I had planned to use them which was just this past weekend (December 9th). I had made an online reservation the same day I purchased the gift cards. The restaurant is visible from the street near the north west intersection of Dixon and Carlingview in Etobicoke which is basically as far west you can go and still be inside Toronto. If you were go west about 500 feet towards the Hilton on the same side of the street you'd be in Mississauga at that point. This location is new as Ruth's "moved" from their previous location near Square One to this place which is essentially part of the grounds of the Holiday Inn. There's a parking system in place but the restaurant will validate parking for their customers and there's even dedicated ground level parking past the ticket gate as well through the structure and towards the restaurant, there's a sign stating that space beyond "this point" is reserved for Ruth's Chris customers. Ruth's entrance faces the hotel's main entrance which is the north side of the building, not directly attached to the hotel. The check in area is through the doors on the right. The décor is very modern with brighter and different colored lighting. While the Hilton location downtown has a much more old school, big booth, classic wooden wall - library feel to it, this place really does seem to feel more flashy and new. They are newly opened and the place isn't the downtown location which has been there for longer. The Toronto airport location is just that, different. The service is rather impressive however. Between arriving, being seated, drinks, dessert and mains served, food brought out, sides being served, parking validation, loyalty card points added and payment we must have interacted with at minimum half a dozen team members. Besides a wine menu there's a cocktail menu in the main menu at the back. Otherwise the menu is laid out with apps and salads on the first page and then options for steaks on and other mains following. I noticed that they didn't happen to have the satay sticks like they do downtown but we ended up going with the sizzling crab cakes and the heirloom tomato salad to start. For mains I went with the cowboy ribeye which is a bone in version (22 oz) while the wife went with the regular filet (11 oz) cuts that we ordered medium. The server warns that the plate will be a hot 500 degrees when it comes and knowing that the steaks still will continue to cook a bit afterwards considering the residual heat. The family style sides we chose to go with were the cremini mushrooms, lobster mac and cheese, and creamed spinach which were all good. The mac and cheese is larger than the other two serving trays and was good enough for the 3 of us and we had leftover as well. The meat is high grade while the quality and cooking method is special. 1800 degree broilers and the experience to cook with that much heat with these cuts is something you have to master if you have a name to live up to and gladly they do. Considering the average for a steak here is around 75 dollars, one would expect this to be something special and I have to say I believe it to be that. This place does make some of the best tasting steaks I've had and it's that something special that would have me coming back for more. Regardless of the contrasting ambiance and menu differences you get from the downtown Toronto location and this airport location the quality of the food to me is the same. The steaks we had ordered were both very different cuts but done perfectly. My wife and friend both said they were the best they've had and I'd also have to agree. Between Morton's and Ruth's, I prefer Ruth's. While they're both different with some similarities , I just like the way Ruth's cooks their steaks while their sides are very complimentary. The area we were in was preparing for a large party and instead of being rushed out, one of the servers offered us a complimentary cocktail at the bar but I had said we were leaving anyway. For the validated ticket, feed it into the machine, don't scan.

I take Attwell Drive often. At the corner of this street and Reading Court, I always see the Residence Inn. I didn't know that there was this Moxies at Sandman Signature Toronto Hotel further down until I did a search for Moxies near my workplace. I love happy hour deals these days. I came here after work last Wednesday to check out this eatery. It's at the end of a secluded cul de sac. I actually want to stay at Sandman because it was so beautiful and quiet when I was there. There was plenty of parking. I backed into an available spot and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a cheerful female staffer. She led me to a booth near the corridor to the hotel from the restaurant. It was also where the washrooms were. I was near a couple of women with a baby. The baby was sweet and was quiet. It was my lucky day! This Moxies does have happy hour between 2 pm and 5 pm. I got here just after 3 pm. Perfect! The interior is gorgeous. It's the prettiest Moxies that I have ever dined in. I'd come back just to be in such a beautiful setting. I liked the separate room with the Blue Jays game on. There were a couple of guys watching the game there. Another special detail about this Moxies is that there's a test kitchen menu. It was my first time seeing it at any Moxies. My server was Joe. He was polite and nice. I got these items: - Hibiscus refresher - Dry ribs - Miso tuna crispy rice The hibiscus refresher was a part of the test kitchen menu. I got the non-alcoholic version. It was delicious. The hibiscus was so good with lime and cinnamon flavours. You can add tequila, but I liked it the way that it was. When I lived in Winnipeg, my go-to order was dry ribs with whatever salad I was craving. I relived half of it by getting dry ribs. It was great having them again. They were meaty and yummy, with the perfect amount of seasoning and salt. I was happy! I didn't know what miso tuna crispy rice was. So, I had to order it. It's essentially sushi-like pieces. There were six pieces of perfectly crispy rice mini bricks topped with miso tuna and mayo. I loved the contrast between the crunchy rice and fresh tuna mixture. It was delightful having this appetizer. I needed a drink. The only downside was that my server didn't drop by until I was done with my appetizers. I ordered a Diet Coke when he did, which I got immediately. It was much needed and icy! I was way too full to get any dessert. I got the bill instead. I tipped and tapped. Done! I used the women's washroom before I left. It was super fancy. It had a seating area in the middle of all single stalls. Wow! I'd come back here simply to enjoy good food and drinks in the most gorgeous eatery. Such a wonderful gem of a find! (181)

I got the Power bowl and my partner got the dill pickle poutine. Generally good portion size and what felt like overall good value for money. The cocktails were very reasonably priced. It's also a cute, cozy atmosphere, and really nice for a hotel attached restaurant. Particularly when it seems to be non chain and many steps above the usual Denny's restaurant. Cons: A few on this visit. Floors felt really sticky in parts. It's a wood floor and I'm not sure if perhaps they used the wrong cleaner for the purpose, as I've had a similar thing happen to my apartment floor. Server said they would clean up the table. Bartender came up after 5 minutes waiting in the seats by the entrance. Asked if we had a seat, told him we were told to wait, then he immediately escorted us to a table. There was a little confusion between the server and bartender as they tried to tend to us sort of twice in the beginning. The place was about 80-90% full, and it looked like it was they were the only two working the front of house at the time, so I could understand if there was a bit of a problem. Looked like they were hurrying. Drinks arrived in a reasonable time though. Some miscommunication when bringing the food - the bartender was bringing it over and it was loud. He started auctioning off the food, so couldn't hear him, so we said, "what?" He replied, "oh, wrong table" and then sort of stormed off. Looked like they tried to sort out the confusion, and after about 5 minutes the server came to us to clairfy and explained what happened. Said the power bowl dish went to someone else but the person that got it, their order was being made so it'd be a small delay. She offered the 15% discount on food that diamond tier RSVP members at the Sandman hotel get. She was very apologetic about the incident. The bartender came at the end of the meal to provide the bill. They gave me the POS and then just left the table. MIght have been a one-off experience, the last review was six months ago. I would say the server was mostly good at remaining her composure. She seemed slightly flustered at the very beginning but things were busy. The bartender seemed to have gone a bit rogue and was a bit aloof to us. A single page menu had about 3 items off the menu, marked with white out. Could use a bit of an update. I'd probably check how busy it is before possibly ordering there again, opting for a delivery option instead.
