I'm a bit hesitant to give this place 3 stars after seeing some high ratings, but after 2 visits, I'm still not impressed. The first time was for take-out. I ordered the Caesar Salad and the Turkey Burger, but I ended up receiving the Caesar Salad and Chicken Ciabatta. The order mix-up is fine, it happens, and I was debating the chicken anyway. The Caesar dressing was unremarkable, and the chicken portion was large in the sandwich. Either dish was fine, but nothing I would come back for. I also got the Bread Pudding which was just OK. I returned for brunch, thinking I would have better luck this time. My friend got the Sausage and Egg Brioche and I their special of the day, which was a type of French Toast. The Sausage and Egg Brioche was very dry in general, the bleu cheese was overpowering, and the bread was too thick compared to the rest of the sandwich. The French Toast was delicious and cooked perfectly though. Overall, the place is charming and the employees nice, but it's not a place I would go out of my way for. read more

The fresh squeezed oj tasted as if a Florida orange had fallen into my mouth. Taste buds were giving high fives. The vegetarian quiche with asparagus, sun dried tomatoes, squash & goat cheese was mouth watering delicious. The goat cheese was mild & did not overpower the rest of the veggies. A side order of red pepper home fries was a nice added touch which filled me up but not feeling overstuffed. This is a casual cafe with a simplistic, industrial & minimalist decor. This is one of my "go-to" lunch spots in the neighborhood. Since I work only about a block away it is frequented by many people in my office. They have a great 4.99 breakfast special (breakfast sandwich and iced coffee) as well as half priced burger Wednesdays- both great deals. I find that the food is always fresh and definitely a nice break from other local pizza spots. My favorite item on the menu is the avocado BLT- so yummy! It can get a little cramped in here at lunch time, so I would suggest calling ahead for your order. I find even though the service can be slow during busy lunch hour- it is always friendly, so I don't mind. Lunch with a drink will run you between $9-13- just a heads up! But I think for the quality and portion served, it is definitely worthwhile. read more

We stumbled upon this gem and its going to become a Sunday morning staple. My turkey burger with avocado, cheddar and a fried egg was perfect. My friend's "Scottish eggs" were hard boiled, wrapped in turkey, deep fried, and laid on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes. Can we say yum? This is a great spot for a fun brunch. If you are looking for a bright and welcoming atmosphere with a solid menu, this is the place to be. I came here yesterday for a sunday brunch and could not have expected a more quaint cafe. I ordered one of the specials of chicken and waffles, which were pretty yummy (the waffles are jalepeno cornbread waffles, so yum...) and some freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything came out very quickly and was pretty enjoyable! The portions are huge (I could only eat about half) and was just satisfying in general. The service seemed friendly, albeit a little over worked/understaffed but despite the sunday brunch rush, everything was served and cleaned with a smile. It really is, a cool gem on south street. I came here with my dad because they were having grilled cheese specials for National Grilled Cheese Day - we shared two, one which had caramelized onion/goat cheese and one which had arugula, truffle, and something else I can't remember. I think it was a special menu just for that day, but the sandwiches were so good, and only $3 each! We also shared some tomato soup and a biscotti. All very good. It was my first time coming here, and I was really impressed overall! Everything on the menu sounded awesome - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We saw another table get a salad, which looked delicious. Very warm and inviting restaurant. They serve breakfast all day. I highly recommend the 2 eggs anyway you want them, the home fries were on point!! Deliciously seasoned and crispy. The apple wood bacon was delicious and their coffee was out of this world!! You definitely feel like you're dining somewhere special, however: since it gets PACKED and quite loud in here as well, it makes it a little more difficult to hear the people you are brunching with. Tried the following: -avocado toast -2 specials (huevos rancheros minus meat + a sweet pancake dish) All food tasted good, but not exceptional. Would have loved an extra something here -- either more flavoring, more seasoning, or a more innovative menu? Everything felt like a pretty standard brunch here, and so I wouldn't recommend to people who are looking for out-of-the box special brunch experiences. I came here for lunch with my younger brother on a Tuesday afternoon. I was originally craving some brunch/breakfast food but upon seeing the menu, and perhaps persuaded by my gluttonous appetite, I ordered a turkey burger. It was massively tasty. My brother ordered a pulled pork sandwich, which he said was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised that the fries came mixed with regular potato and sweet potato! Yum. The service was great but it was a little empty inside. A few people came in to order take away but I think that's because of the crazy polar vortex snow and cold. Brunching in Philly is one of my favorite things to do, and I can say that Miles Table is one of my favorite brunch spots in the city. I love that you can order and pay first so that there's no waiting after you're done eating. It gets pretty busy here, but every time I've visited I managed to find a seat within five minutes. And, I love their eggs! I've also done catering with Miles Table before for a formal dinner party (three course meal, 50+ people), and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. I really really like Miles Table. It's my new brunch spot as some other neighborhood places have been disappointing lately. And it opens early on weekends, 8am I think, which is great because a lot of bar brunches don't start service till 10ish. The food is fantastic, I have had breakfast and lunch there. One time I ordered lunch to go, cobb salad and butternut squash soup. It was busy in there so when I grabbed my bag I just got out of there. I got home to find a BLTA(avacado) instead of the salad but I wasn't even mad because that things was delicious. The only thing is, it's a little tight in there. Depending on what time, there's usually a line, not really space for people to wait for take-out. Overall, this is a crowd pleaser. Definitely my go-to for out of town guests and for a solo lunch. read more

I was drawn in by the half price burger lunch special. I ordered the miles burger medium-rare. The special didn't come with bacon but it's OK, it still had LTO and ample melty cheddar. The bread was fresh and yummy. The fries were thick cut and thus not at crispy as I usually like them but they tasted good and were well seasoned. The only down side was that my burger came out over cooked, it was close to well - thankfully it was still juicy but there was absolutely no pink left. The service was good. After you order at the register, and seat your self, they bring water, silver and condiments. Food came out quickly. The shrimp & asparagus in the dish were nicely done, but it was served over polenta (how does that get called grits?), and the flavor of the "salsa verde"-which was a green sauce, but not actually a traditional salsa verde-was also unremarkable. Bland was really the name of the day, in fact, two other people at the table had similar complaints about the avocado toast and the steak & eggs. The prices are good, very reasonable, and the environment is cute. You order at the register up front and then find your own table.. Even though the place was pretty busy, we managed to find a table for 5 without waiting. Delicious! I had the nova lox with home fries instead of chips. The home fries are amazing and seasoned to perfection. The nova lox was perfect, I've never had a lox bagel that was like a sandwich with lettuce etc but it was perfect. Really interesting brunch, with a menu that definitely sets it apart from a typical brunch. I had the huevos rancheros, which were tasty but nothing particularly special. My friends' dishes were much more unique though. The smoked fish plate came with a toasted bagel and the smoked salmon, cream cheese, and whitefish salad in separate scoops on a platter - really beautiful presentation. OK, I have been to Miles Table 4 time now. I must now admit I'm really enjoying this place. I have had the Burger which is the BEST in town, the Flat Bread Pizza, that is large enough to share but its so good you won't want to it's that delicious. Also am so happy that Finally a GREAT place to get Breakfast , the BEST eggs ever and their home made sausage is amazing. They also have GLUTEN FREE BREAD!!!!!! Glad we found this neighborhood gem! We went early on a sat and since we are not big brunch people, I was happy to see they also serve lunch items that early in the morning. I had the falafel burger which was awesome. The falafel patty tasted fresh and crispy without tasting fried. There is lettuce tomato tzaziki sauce and feta cheese layered on the sandwich which really brought out the flavor. The portion size is enough without being huge and obnoxious. I only ate 1/2 of it but my Bf polished off the rest. My bf got the turkey burger while he agreed was good. The fries were good and crispy just the way I like them! They have free refills on their coffee and offer fresh squeezed orange juice and grapefruit juice. The place is not that big, maybe 10-15 tables so I could see this place getting busy as we were leaving. You walk in and order at the counter and then get seated. The service was very friendly and our food came quickly. Even though you order and pay ahead @ the counter, someone came by to check how we were doing a few times and offer coffee refills. I don't normally like brunch..as a vegetarian who doesn't necessarily like eggs, I struggle finding items I like to eat. And I don't want to spend 10 bucks getting a plain bagel. What a great addition to the booming food scene on south street just west of broad, I have had the chance to get takeout from here a couple times and was impressed with the quality and consistency of my meals. Twice now I have I had the Avocado BLT and each time, each component was done right. Creamy avocado, thick multi-grain bread, crispy bacon and fresh tomatoes/lettuce. So simple yet satisfying with the (homemade i assume?) chips. Still many other menu items to explore although last time the caesar salad that was supposed to have chicken added to it didn't have said chicken, bye bye $4. I love the idea of half priced burger night, I think that will be my first dine in experience in the near future. The omelet comes with three ingredients from a list, with no indication that some ingredients cost extra (avocado is $1 extra). They just add on the surcharge without telling you.
