    French toasty

Hannah K Cafe, sister of The Breakfast Den, definitely offers similar delicious Asian-American fusion brunch options! However, I found the service to be very slow due to their being swamped with takeout orders along with a packed restaurant. --- Hannah K Cafe is one of the newest cafe additions to the Point Breeze neighborhood. It offers Vietnamese-American fusion brunch foods such as bahn mi, egg platters, hash, French toast, pancakes, etc. The interior is very cute and cozy, definitely favorable towards casual meetups. I came on a Sunday for lunch and it was loud and the restaurant was fully packed- which should have been my first indication of relatively long wait times. We were quickly seated and the servers were quick to get our orders. Overall, it took 30 minutes for us to get our food, which isn't unreasonable considering the crowd, but we were quite hungry while waiting. Once we got our food, they stopped checking on our table so we only had our water refilled at the end of our meal when we could finally catch one of the busy servers. I got the French Toasty and thought it was great. The French toast was fluffy and not too sweet, and all the berries were fresh. The bacon was crisped to perfection and not greasy. The eggs were perfectly over easy. Although I didn't get a picture, my friend got the Gracie's Crispy Fried Rice, and we both agreed it was the best thing at the table. Although not "crispy," it was not soggy at all. The dish was fried well and was large. The crispy chicken toppings were fried to perfection. We asked for a side of chili oil ($0.75 extra) and it really elevated the dish. I'd highly recommend trying Hannah K Cafe at an "off-time" to avoid any of the backup from the high volume of orders. Also, I would suggest ordering the Gracie's Crispy Fried Rice. Lastly, I hope in the future there's more staffing to decrease food wait times.

Had a lovely lunch at Hannah K Cafe in the former On Point Cafe location across from the Point Breeze fire station. Loved the decor and service was friendly, if busy. For two, we decided to share the Momma's Pork Eggrolls, Shaken Steak & Eggs Bánh Mì , and Thit Kho Hash. All were tasty, though tweaks could be made--would love the dipping sauce for the eggrolls to have a bit more spice to match the finely chopped peppers therein and both the bánh mì and the hash could have used acid and a pickled freshness, e.g., pickled daikon/carrots/etc.

My friend and I arrived at Hannah K Cafe without a reservation and had to wait about 10 minutes before being seated. There was an area that appeared we could be seated but the people sat next to one another instead of across. We watched as it appeared the party was asked to sit across but they asked to stay seated as they were and the waitress obliged. We ordered two drip coffees and it took about 10-12 minutes before receiving the coffee. I ordered Gracy's crispy fried rice ( crispy chicken with a sunny egg, carrots, caramelized onions, roasted corn, thai basil, and green onions). The rice was nice and light yet well seasoned.

A friend recommended Hannah K cafe, and I'm so glad I went! Located on the corner of Federal Street, I was warmly greeted by the staff as soon as I walked in which was a welcoming vibe. The place was cute and semi-busy for a late Friday morning. I ordered the iced matcha latte with oat milk and the breakfast Sang Som'mer rolls. I had never heard of breakfast ingredients wrapped in a fresh roll wrapper before but it worked! I'm already thinking about how to recreate the whole thing at home. The homemade sauce it came with was also good. I enjoyed mixing it with sriracha. As for the matcha latte - yes, it wasn't sweet, but that's how a traditional matcha latte should be. Earthy and refreshing without being very sugary. I was surprised some of the other reviews complained about the lack of sweetness. The person who seemed to be the owner as well as the waitress were both friendly, and while service was a bit slow, the food made it more than worth the wait. My total came to just under $25 with a 20% tip. Highly recommend this Vietnamese-American fusion neighborhood spot! I wish I lived in Philly just to come back more often.

Had a wonderful dining experience here on a weekend! We arrived around 11 am and were able to snag a table indoors by the window. I think there is much less of a wait time compared to their sister restaurant/since the opening. Service was very quick and warm. We loved the sunny, open ambiance. I love the menu here - a combination of Southern food, Vietnamese food, and brunch. There are also several veggie-friendly dishes on the menu. I ordered the breakfast veggie banh mi and it was excellent. 10/10 would return!

I'd like to start this review by saying how excited I was that this restaurant was coming here since a large hole was left in the neighborhood when On Point left. Unfortunately, the experience and food left a lot to be desired. We desired to try the hash and the rice bowl. As someone that loves a good homey hash, this dish was more of a hodgepodge of ingredients rather than a comforting hash. It had potatoes in large chunks on the bottom that still needed a few more minutes to soften and were too large with cut pieces of turkey bacon (that needed to either be larger or smaller) with a warm mayo sauce on top. The rice bowl also felt like a random array of ingredients that were just thrown together. I think the menu felt like bits of concepts but didn't felt fully fleshed out. Service was also weird since there was just one waitress, that was also a hostess and when she went to the back, the restaurant was just empty.

I got a chai latte with oat milk and a Shakshuka (which, they told me is not a traditional Shakshuka but rather reimagined as a pasty). It was delicious! The chai latte had great depth and spice flavors, and the Shakshuka pastry was a great mix of flaky puff pastry and strong tomato and egg flavors. Just knocking off one star because for a $5.75 latte, they only filled the glass halfway up. I also got one of their famous pistachio sticky bun to take to go!

This was my first time actually trying it and it definitely lived up to the hype of the Yelp reviews. My wrap had chicken, hummus, lettuce, and feta, and it was so delicious. My chicken was very good, very tender and seasoned well. It also had a great creamy hummus to tie all the other ingredients together. The feta added just enough saltiness to balance out the rest of the flavors. All of the ingredients were very fresh, and my wrap was extremely soft, yet still maintained its form completely as I ate. I also ordered a Nutella hot chocolate. It was delicious! It was my fist time having a Nutella hot Chocolate. I usually just get a normal hot chocolate. The pita chips served as an additional side item with this sandwich and proved to be quite enjoyable. The pita chips had a good crunch and were able to pair with the wrap very well. I ended up eating all of the pita chips! It was a great lunch and I enjoyed my wrap! I would likely order from Café Square One again in the future, especially, if that wrap is still on their menu!

Dear reader, We went…read moreto City Tap in Philly with a large group just for drinks and had a thoroughly good time. The $10 martinis on Friday were an excellent deal and definitely one of the highlights of the evening. A well-priced martini always sets a promising tone, and these did exactly that. The bartenders were helpful and kept things moving impressively well, even with a group our size, which was much appreciated. The space itself is huge and very clean, with plenty of tables and seating, so it was easy for everyone to spread out, settle in, and enjoy themselves without feeling packed in. A major point in its favour is the setup for watching sports. They have a massive wall of TV screens, plus more TVs throughout the space, which made it very easy to keep up with multiple games at once. No awkward craning for a view, no fighting for the one good seat, just a very solid setup for a group outing. Overall, it was a fun experience and very much in line with the good times we have had at other City Tap locations in DC. A lively, well-run spot for drinks and groups, and one we would happily return to.

We ordered the ten-spice wings- and a gluten-free pizza- both were hearty, delicious, well-flavored devourable. The flight price on the menu says $14 for a local flight, but this has changed- it's priced per beer- viewable on Untapped App- so a flight is more like $18-20, because of the increased price- I opted for a pint, but the bartender was super friendly about allowing a few sip samples before deciding. The place had a great ambiance- the bar had sports tvs playing, the side tables had very happy hour chat vibe, and the back tables had a more intimate feeling. Overall, would recommend- it was a nice experience.
