Croissant Sandwich
Sharvani M.

We really loved our brunch here! Came on a busy Sunday and were seated outside pretty quickly. We both got the croissant sandwich with fries drizzled with garlic aioli - the sandwich came with mango/pineapple habanero jam, arugula, scrambled eggs, caramelized onions and goat cheese (we asked for no bacon). So delicious! A pretty big croissant too, and the fries were satisfyingly crispy and the aioli was so good. They even gave us tater tots on the house which were so crispy and delicious. Coffee was great, I got a latte and it was such a satisfying class brunch together with the sandwich. Service was super nice and very friendly! We would definitely recommend for a tasty and cozy brunch.

Single French Toast + Sweet Chili Pork Roll Sandwich

Excellent breakfast at Ants Pants ! The line moves fast even on a busy Saturday! We had a single French toast +pork roll egg cheese hash brown on focaccia + hot and sweet bacon egg cheese on focaccia. Both sandwiches had a garlic sriracha aioli on them that made them quite messy but SO delicious!!! The waiters were so nice and despite how small it is, they pack the people in! Def will go back

The Green Apple and Brie Sandwich will bring me back every time. The iced coffee with ice cream was a fun treat. The space is small but the back area is quaint and outdoorsy. Service was mid level and they forgot one of our drinks but even so, I'd come back for the food alone. Important to know it's Cash only!

A new absolute favorite for brunch here in the neighborhood. I cannot believe I had never dined here before! They have a beautiful back patio and decent sized dining room, though I would recommend trying to arrive prior to 10am on weekends if you'd like a seat. The staff here is amazing and took incredible care of us - really just the best vibes. I went with a benedict and almond milk chai latte and both provided some serious comfort on a difficult day. The sandwiches, french toasts, and hash are all going to be a part of future trips for me, but everything really looked fab. Cash only!

The way i'll always go here. Talk about great service great vibes. Great price. Everyone is fantastic. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The breakfast burrito was A+. And honestly, I order something different each time and every time I'm so happy. Also their eggs Benedict are top-notch. You must try. Additionally, we had their cinnamon bun pancakes, and they were so good very sweet but so good next time you're in the area you should go also bring cash. It's cash only.

I was hoping to like this place a bit more than i did. The bree french toast was good but also a little dry and thick for being able to get it in one bite. It had a nice sauce that I could have used more of. For an established restraunt, im surprised they used plastic cups for their water. The meal itself was pretty decent and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Crispy Bacon and Feta Salad

Cute neighborhood spot. There were so many things on the menu that I wanted to try (much of it brunch-centered) but ultimately went with the bacon and feta salad with chicken. Salad had a good mix of all the ingredients, though the chicken was a tad dry (nothing that a healthy dousing of the dressing didn't fix) and the bacon was sparse, I could've used more of it. My favorite part was the little toasted rounds of bread on the side. Overall, for almost $20, the portion was on the smaller side, so much so that it sent me back into the rain to find a dessert spot. The waiter was very friendly and came by often to see how I was doing. Since I came in an off-time, the food came out quickly. Cash only, though I saw someone eating there who paid via Venmo. Not sure how good the ventilation is, the air was a little stuffy inside and my clothes and hair smelled of frying oil when I left.

Eggs Benedict, Vegetarian Sweet Potato Hash

Cash only, but there's an ATM inside** We had a great brunch here. My friend got the vegetarian hash and said it was really good! I got the eggs Benedict and also loved it. I also really appreciated the hash being a combo of regular and sweet potatoes. Everyone was also really friendly, and the food came out relatively quickly. The space also had some nice art hanging up to look at, and it was well lit :)

Grilled cornbread, sausage crumbles, poached eggs and sweet potato - 11 of 10!!

Holy moly. This was a delicious breakfast!! Dare I say the best I've had out?! Maybe so! Like 11 of 10 stars! It was on a specials menu on 10/30/24, it was Grilled cornbread, sausage crumbles on top, then topped off with poached eggs and sweet potato chip/fries on the side. So happy we chose this place for breakfast! I can't wait to try to recreate this dish!

Special: Egg, sweet chili, smashed tater tot croissant sandwich

Lovely neighborhood café in Graduate Hospital with a few sidewalk seats and a larger dining room behind the takeout counter that greets you upon entry. Ants Pants Café has solid food and great service. Very much enjoyed the special I had for lunch on my last visit: an egg, sweet chili, smashed tater tot croissant sandwich. Highly recommend! P.S. Don't forget, it's cash only!

Small and comfortable breakfast spot. I ordered the Brekkie platter- 2 eggs (over-medium), bacon and grilled mushrooms with honey wheat toast and hash brown. The hash brown was well seasoned and crispy ( so good). My coffee cup stayed filled. I was pleasantly surprised with Ants Pants Cafe and I will be back again!

adorable little neighborhood restaurant with tasty bites! note, it is cash only. i've been here twice and enjoyed it both times! they have a rotating specials menu with unique dishes. i really appreciate the abundance of choices available at this little cafe, and everything is made with love. my least favorite dish here was the old bay tots + onion rings. i believe it was a special from a while back, but was so salty that it was barely edible. earlier this week, i had the gobbler sandwich which was a thanksgiving special. the sandwich was good and tasted like thanksgiving, but i've had better gobbler sandwiches in philly. my friend really enjoyed his maple bacon sandwich, perhaps ill stick to the regular menu next time. the cafe is quite small, i can see it filling up during popular times. i was last there around 8am (right after opening) on a saturday and there were only two other tables. service was fast and our waiter was friendly. just be prepared to bring cash (or use their atm)!

Very good cafe. Took my girl here, and it didn't disappoint. The service here is good and timely. I came on a week day around lunchtime, so I assume the weekend service could be different. The food was all delicious. The people here really know flavor. I got the maple bacon sandwich, and my girl got the stack with a side of French toast. Everything tasted so good. I was hoping and praying my sandwich didn't finish, but I could help myself lol. My girlfriend, who is usually full pretty quickly, ate ALL of her food. The French toast here is pretty good too. The vibe here is chill, small, cute, and quaint. The only thing I didn't like about the place was that they didn't accept debit/credit. This is a cash or venmo only cafe. They do have an atm on property. Come give it a try!

DRINKS I had their iced mocha. I liked that it wasn't too…read moresweet, but I did not enjoy the grainy texture of the chocolate. The flavor also felt off, tasting more like binding ingredients in chocolate candy rather than a actual chocolate. FOOD Located next to Machine Shop, most guests don't come here for pastries, but they do have a limited selection of donuts and croissants. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. It's a small storefront so the line can seem quite long, but they are efficient in filtering people through. AMBIANCE Located in the Bok Building, there's ample seating in the general seating area right by and behind the storefront. The space is shared with other guests visiting Machine Shop and the stores in Bok. I saw some people working/studying, but it can get quite busy/loud. PARKING Paid street parking is available at a limited capacity. Most people park in neighboring streets or take the bus. BATHROOMS Bathrooms are located throughout the building.

My family and I got breakfast at Enswell during our stay in Philadelphia. This swanky, hip place…read moreoffers up elevated tasty food and superb service in an exquisitely decorated, albeit small, cafe. We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

I thought this place was very cute. Outdoor limited seating…read moreand indoor area as well. The appeal was to get a quick read in amd have my pup with me. I felt like I ordered the wrong combination. I was able to do an egg sandwich and swap for sourdough bread vs eng muffin. Love that. Didn't love the copper sharp cheese that was a bit messy and tangy. I kept thinking they must have added some type of sauce on it. I'd much rather come back for a simple fried egg combo and chedda cheese. I was also offered sparkling water, but I do wish it had more fizz. The service start to finish was superb in friendly and fast service. I'd come back for mimosa/bar for sure.
