The onion soup and escargot are tasty. Very vivid ambience. The service is good too. Recommend this place if you are in the neighborhood looking for French cuisine.

If you're looking for a little slice of Paris in the heart of Philadelphia, Parc absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is transporting--think warm lighting, tiled floors, and the smell of fresh-baked bread that instantly sets the tone for a classic French bistro experience. Overlooking Rittenhouse Square, it's one of the best spots in the city for people-watching, especially if you grab a sidewalk table. I came for lunch with relatives, and we had a good time while enjoying dood food. I had the shrimp cocktail, the cheesebirger and a margarita. Everything was delicious! The food lives up to the ambiance. Parc excels at traditional French fare, from rich onion soup and escargots to perfectly executed brunch staples and steak frites. The bread basket alone is worth the visit--fresh, warm, and indulgent. The menu stays true to classic flavors, and that consistency is part of its charm. Service is another highlight. Staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to guide you through the extensive wine list, making the experience feel polished without being stuffy. Whether you're there for a casual brunch or a special occasion dinner, the vibe strikes a perfect balance between lively and refined. Overall, Parc is a Philadelphia staple for a reason. It's not just a meal--it's an experience that captures the spirit of a Parisian café right in Center City. Perfect for date nights, celebrations, or just treating yourself to something a little special. Overall, 100% recommended.

Back at Parc, but this time for lunch! We really enjoyed the new Strawberry Buratta appetizer and the quiche!! Our servers were so sweet and brought out a sweet birthday treat for both the birthday girls! Once the weather is a bit warmer I would love to come back and sit outside, the tables are super cute.

Still a phenomenal experience. The service is exceptional and their crowd control is practiced and well done. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. The quiche was so tall and delicious. Side salad was surprisingly good. Pastry basket was phenomenal. The potatoes were so good. The mixed berries were quite pricey at $10 but they were the freshest, ripest berries in February. It was insane how good they were. The waitress was always one step ahead and so thoughtful. Appreciated the little anniversary touch. Completely worth every penny. Pro tip, buy a baguette to go.

Visiting PHL over the weekend and thought we would try out this French Bistro, Parc for Brunch. Being a long weekend, we were not able to make a reservation via OpenTable nor by calling in. Although they were very sweet to let us know that they do take a few walk-ins. After finding parking in a nearby lot, we arrived around 11:00am, to find that the brunch menu was closed and they were now serving lunch. We were seated in about 10 minutes which was great as the restaurant was packed and we didn't have reservations. The place had some light music playing and was quiet but busy. Annie, our wait staff was just awesome ... She was super attentive and her recommendations were spot on. The choices on the lunch & drinks menus were huge. The table bread basket with warm bread that came in shortly after we sat, was just right to kick off this lunch. After having their Cafe Parc, aka Coffee Martini, we had the Soupe L'Oignon, aka French Onion Soup or just Onion Soup. The portion was huge and the flavors were just Fab !!! We proceeded to order a Grilled Chicken Sandwich, again huge portion, Shrimp Salad, very flavorful, a Crab & Avacado, which was tasty and my fav the NY Strip. By this time we were so full, that we skipped dessert. On our way out we saw their Boulangerie that sold Baguettes, Wheat Boules, as well as their Cramalized Onion+Cheese Sourdough bread. That was cool. All in all the experience was just awesome and we so glad that we were able to get to have lunch here. Will definitely look this up again the next time I am in PHL.

Parc is a great spot for a good meal. You won't leave hungry, especially with their delicious complimentary bread basket that includes 3 types of bread (cranberry walnut, baguette, and country loaf). The staff is friendly and helpful, and if you are sharing a dish, they will plate the appetizer or entree separately for sharing. Their burger, fried artichoke, French onion soup, and steak frites are delightful! There is lots of seating and the ambiance is perfect for a more than casual meal or business dinner.

Amazing French onion soup rich, creamy and cheesy. Fabulous!! The cheeseburger came out as ordered but could have used more flavor; however, the shoestring French fries were delicious.

Delicious French food! I came here in my visit to Philadelphia. Service was friendly and accommodating. The ambience was wonderful. I felt that I was transported to France. Prices are a bit pricey, but reasonable for the quality of food and ambiance. Worth checking out!

A Parisian-inspired experience w/ barely a caveat. As modern dining moves away from bread, Parc EMPHASIZES theirs w/ a basket of sliced baguette, fruit & nut-studded squares, so memorable the journey could be for the bread alone! It shines in the Onion Soup Gratinee w/ broth that has depth when modern versions have moved toward watered down vegan varieties. The Mushroom Tart is a mini "pizza" of filling layers of buttery goodness topped w/ mushrooms & Pecorino that tasted even better on a re-heat at home. Daurade Royal en Papillote (fish baked in parchment, for those skipping high school French) was revealed table-side, intensely seasoned, & did not disappoint. DO NOT SKIP DESSERT. The chocolate is intensely delicious in Moelleux Au Chocolat w/ praline & hazelnut accents, served w/ sugared citrus jellies- Pates de Fruits, that proved more impressive then the main desert! Americans & their French Fries. I was disappointed Steak Frites didn't include hand-cut fries. Not bad, just underwhelming when 2 things are on a pate & half is a frozen product indistinguishable from that served in every eatery in the country. It may be their most popular item, but was hoping for a version more fitting of a French bistro. The atmosphere is lovely despite cramped & uncomfortable seating at a 2-top. Simple decor paired w/ the right lighting tricks the brain & transforms the atmosphere to a European cafe. Service was thoughtful & accommodating. Look forward to a future visit.

Beet and goat cheese salad with six or maybe five CRUMBLES of goat cheese.
    Gloria A.

Food could have been better by a basic failure in each dish. Beet salad with goat cheese was about 6 crumbles of cheese, so balance was off-- left a more acidic beet taste. The trout almondine had perfectly browned and crispy almonds, but they hadn't salted the bottom of the fish. Yes the brown butter sauté is great, but basic salt is always a necessity. Sat at the bar, so service was great. But super busy of course on a Saturday night.

Always a go to while in Philadelphia. If you are from the DC area - Le Diplomat is the same restaurant but the vibes of parc and location are overall better. Food - cannot go wrong with the warm shrimp salad, chicken sandwich, obviously bread basket. All their food is very flavorful and tasty. Drinks- stellar dirty martinis and espresso martinis. Ambiance - the best. Especially worthwhile in the summer when you can sit on the square and people watch.

Boeuf bourguignon. Very tasty and hearty!
    Meta N.

Very good French cuisine, especially for this area/city! I had a very tasty boeuf bourguignon, with a decent amount of potatoes (could have been a bit more generous there). We also sampled the creme brûlée which was decent but not anything to write home about. The interior was very nice and lent the meal a more romantic vibe. I also appreciated that the service was prompt and very friendly! If ever back in Philly, I would eat here again.

Can't go to Parc without getting the Steak Frites! Going to parc feels like you walked into a restraunt in paris. The vibe is very european. I got the steak frites. While it is a hefty price tag it is worth it! Can't wait for it to be nice out again so I can sit outside.

We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

Didn't love the copper sharp cheese that was a bit messy and tangy. I kept thinking they must have added some type of sauce on it. I'd much rather come back for a simple fried egg combo and chedda cheese. I was also offered sparkling water, but I do wish it had more fizz. The service start to finish was superb in friendly and fast service. I'd come back for mimosa/bar for sure.

The tasting menu had three tiers you could choose from- $35, $45, and $55/person. We chose the $55/person option which included the full menu of tapas as well as dessert. They pick the most popular dishes to bring out to the table but also allow you to request any specifically that you'd like. By the end of night, we had a TON of food, even more than we could finish, and ended up trying at least 15 different dishes. All the food was great, with some of my favorites being the eggplant caponata (cold, very flavorful), scallops a la plancha, jamon & manchego croquetas, spiced beef empanadas, and the paellas. Favorite dessert was the chocolate cake, but we were received all the desserts other than the ice cream and sorbet. I may have liked the food experience less if I had ordered off the regular menu and only tried a few small plate, but I loved the option of trying so many dishes. By the time we finished everything, we had been there for over 3 hours (including lots of wine of course), which was really fun! The staff were immediately sympathetic, super friendly and helpful. Of course, as if I wasn't embarrassed enough, as soon as the 3 year old washed his hands, he shouted "I'm hungry" (is this sort of human I'm raising?). We were already in a restaurant so why not. Before being seated or looking at the menu, I asked for some fries to be put in and the waitress offered some chicken tenders. After finally looking over the menu, I don't think these are regular offerings so I appreciated them trying to be accommodating to a frazzled parent at dinner time. My vegan mother in law joined us and we were pleased that there were so many options for her. My absolute favourite (such that I had to order another round) was the eggplant caponata - perfectly sweet with a little bit of spice. It was so warm and comforting - exactly what I want at the end of a long cold day. My MIL's fav were the Brussels sprouts - they had a tang reminiscent of buffalo sauce and were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, textured heaven (extra bonus points for the 3 year old absolutely LOVING them - he redeemed himself). If you like hummus, try the spinach and chick pea cazuela. Squash is in season so I knew it was going to be delightful - the pomegranate was a combination that was new to me, but it didn't disappoint. We didn't try the roasted carrots (because my household is all carroted out for the moment) but someone one table over was gushing over them. As a meat eater, I have to say that the non meat tapas were standouts - I tried the empanadas, they were fine; I didn't enjoy the meatballs and I just wanted to order more of the eggplant caponata. All in all, I would definitely come back, maybe for drinks with friends or date night. The drink list looked inviting and nothing says intimacy like mood lighting and shared plates. The price (without alcohol) was very approachable - for $80 a vegan, a 3 year old and a frazzled mom left satiated.

This place is great for large parties as you can order individually at the counter, and it's seat yourself. As I mentioned, it was my birthday and the employees working really made me feel spacial. They were so sweet the entire time we were there, and they were on top of everything the entire time. They even gave me a free glass of wine!! The food was lovely, and I'd know since we ordered everything off the HH food menu. Even though some of the items I didn't like, I could still tell the quality of the ingredients. The focaccia and polenta fries were my favorites!! They reasons this isn't a perfect five for me is because the HH menu is pretty limited. Also, I've tried to come to Alimentary before, and it just didn't work out. As in the restaurant wasn't available to the public due to a private party. Also, it's quite literally just an hour long and only runs during the week.

We order so much food and all the food that was eaten by us was well prepared and high quality. The octopus was no chewy, the gnocchi was like chewing on a cloud, and the dough for the pizza has the nice black spots on the bottom and a nice chew. The pizza is also not greasy and will not hurt your digestion system. All the dessert are to die for. Prunella is legit and you should check it out!!!

I recommend a party of 3-4 to really maximize your experience. However, this year, we just weren't as hungry, so we did some girl math and decided it would be cheaper to do ala cart. We ordered two of the famous spicy caesar salads (must order!!), a ricotta toast, a White Claw pizza, and a finished off our meal sharing two chocolate budinos. The White Claw is a pretty classic white pizza, mozzarella and swirls of basil pesto; the crust is amazing! It pairs perfectly with the salad. The ricotta toast is decadent and addicting, but a little bit goes a long way. The chocolate budino was outstanding - sweet, with hints of espresso. We won't talk about how I ended up with some of it on my white turtleneck... Service was friendly and QUICK! We ordered, and I swear we had our first dishes in less than 10 minutes. The server was a doll, though I can't recall his name. Downside of Prunella, like anywhere in Center City, is there is no parking. Upside, is you're just a short walk from the 13th St. Septa Station, and you're literally equidistant from Broad and Market streets. Pro-tip: Killer happy hour specials, but only at the bar. Good selection of beverages, if you're into that type of thing. Come hungry, leave happy, and maybe don't wear white.
