    shrimp scampi

The food was delicious. We really enjoyed the shrimp scampi and the ricotta and the queen bee pizza. Would not recommend showing up without a reservation! We had a reservation and they still made us wait an extra ~10 minutes. They also rushed us out of the restaurant within 40 minutes of us being there, when we were still clearly eating with food on our plates. They came up to us and asked if we wanted dessert, we said no thanks and then immediately the waiter said "I'll bring the check", which I've never once experienced in my life at a restaurant given the short amount of time we were sat there for and the fact that they made us wait despite our reservation :(

The service was very professional and kind in every aspect - from the bartenders, host, and our waitress. The ambiance was even cuter than I was expecting so it was a pleasant surprise! All of us loved our pasta dishes and our whipped ricotta appetizer. The DRINKS were also amazing! My last shoutout is how happy I was with the prices!!

As my first review for the year, I was excited to try a new restaurant especially a place from the Schulson group, but it was just okay. The ambiance was nice with dimly lit interior, a romantic vibe at the bar and multiple outdoor seats with heat lamps. The service was timely and the service was attentive. As far as food goes, we started with the arancini appetizer and the short ribs. The arancini were not crispy enough with a crunch like I was looking for and they were a bit over peppered for my taste buds. The short ribs were perfectly cooked . For an entree, we went with the white claw which was fine, but nothing exciting and the crust was a bit too thin for what I was looking for. Drinks were good and the interior was cute, I would definitely return for happy hour and would consider returning to try the rest of the menu since I like their other restaurants.

My friends wanted to meet up for dinner and suggested prunella. I will say I saw prunella online going viral for their spicy Caesar. My review on it is that it's a Caesar salad, not bad but not anything crazy. The whipped ricotta was our second appetizer that we ordered. It was very yummy with a good balance of sweet with the honey. I just prefer my ricotta on the side to dip the bread but it was overall very good. I also ended up ordering the rocket and rolled pizza. It was ok but I do find the choice to not have cheese very interesting. There also was more arugula more than anything so I was underwhelmed but I quite like the crust on the pizza. The service was quick and attentive. Jared was our server and he was very kind and made sure to make us aware of anything that he found necessary. Lastly the ambiance of the restaurant was good but I didn't love how small the inside was. The tables were too small for a group of four in my opinion and most of the food was crammed in addition to the drinks. I also felt smushed against the window a little bit due to how narrow the place was so maybe next time I'll come with just one other person.

Highly recommend everything I ate here! The spicy Caesar salad is a must. I also like it saucy and they had no problem bringing me out extra dressing. The white claw pizza was excellent. Wood fired pizza makes all the difference plus the drizzle of pesto on top! The cacio e pepe was flavorful and you could tell the pasta was fresh! Topped it off with a healthy scoop of gelato. With both indoor and outdoor seating and the doors open to let in fresh air, this is the perfect spot for a date or a friend's night. I have no complaints about this meal! Definitely make sure you make a reservation because otherwise on the weekend the wait was up to an hour. I'll be waiting for an opportunity to return!

Finally got a reservation here, and when we arrived there happened to be 2 seats at the bar so we actually were able to move there and enjoy happy hour!! Great value for happy hour, with $11 pies including a daily special pie, $7 cocktails, and I believe $6 arancini and whipped ricotta. Everything was delicious, so fresh, and quick to arrive. The daily pizza was a white pie with pancetta, arugula, and apples and it was one of my favorite bites of the night. Definitely would come back for more happy hour bites!

Popped in for lunch during resturant week and wasn't disappointed. The staff was super accommodating and the spot was small, but cozy...almost gave coffee shop vibes. Enjoyed the short rib, spicy Cesar and quite a few Hugo spritz's lol BUT the star of the show was the whipped ricotta. Cannot wait to try again!

Tried this place during restaurant week and I was GAGGED. It's a small and cozy venue. Bathrooms are clean. Service was friendly and helpful. We started with two plates, the whipped ricotta (the toast was too hard) and the spicy ceasar salad (10/10 deliciousness). For the pasta we went with the spaghetti cacio e Pepe and their noodles are so thick and bouncy I loved it. For pizzas we enjoyed the cheesy parisi, simple but good and the big nick which was nice and creamy. The drink menu had good variety and we enjoyed the chai cocktail as well as the pina colada mocktail. A good choice for a romantic date night!

Saw Prunella on TikTok after searching for great brunch places in Philly. We walked in on a Friday afternoon with no reservation but were able to sit at the bar. For drinks we ordered Birds & Bees which was great and a basic Pinot Grigio. Both came almost immediately. For food we ordered the following: Meatballs: 9/10. Really strong flavors. Loved them! Spicy Caesar: 6/10. Everyone loves it but I thought it was just a normal ceasar salad with a slight kick. It didn't blow me away. Ricotta honey: 10/10. Delicious! Honey and ricotta are my two favorite things so this was a no brainer lol. Branzino: 9/10. My mom says it's one of the best she's had Cacio e Pepe: 8/10. The perfect al dente for me! Overall I had a good experience and would return. Next time I would like to try the happy hour because it was quite an expensive lunch

I'd say this place has a really cool concept. It's like an Italian tapas style restaurant. Everything was aesthetically pleasing and the service was good. I thought the food was pretty good but not amazing. It's right downtown in a great location. Next time I would go for happy hour and not dinner

Kept it simple and got the dirty piña colada, the process and the chocolate budino - this trio never fails me.

Came here yesterday with friends for happy hour and already can't wait to return! Happy hour is bar-only and gets packed fast, so plan ahead. We ordered the house white wine, daily pizza special, arancini, and whipped ricotta -- everything was absolutely delicious. The pizza was thin, flavorful, and had a perfect charred crust. The arancini was creamy and comforting, while the whipped ricotta with oregano and honey was seriously addicting. Great spot for happy hour -- I'm definitely coming back to try dinner next time!

The food here is okay. I got the spicy Caesar salad (which was surprisingly good) & a regular cheese pizza. Nothing out of this world as far as flavors were concerned but it satisfied my hunger. The restaurant also pre-charged me before even getting my meal (something about they needed my card to request the order with the kitchen), so that rubbed me the wrong way. Willing to try this restaurant again but maybe by paying cash & trying something else on the menu.

This swanky, hip place…read moreoffers up elevated tasty food and superb service in an exquisitely decorated, albeit small, cafe. We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

I felt like I ordered the wrong combination. I was able to do an egg sandwich and swap for sourdough bread vs eng muffin. Love that. Didn't love the copper sharp cheese that was a bit messy and tangy. I kept thinking they must have added some type of sauce on it. I'd much rather come back for a simple fried egg combo and chedda cheese. I was also offered sparkling water, but I do wish it had more fizz. The service start to finish was superb in friendly and fast service. I'd come back for mimosa/bar for sure.

From the moment you step inside, the ambiance wraps around you like a gentle welcome. Soft lighting, warm wood tones, and a subtle hum of conversation create an atmosphere that feels both intimate and effortlessly comfortable. It's the kind of space where you can settle in immediately, whether you're meeting a friend or savoring a quiet moment alone. The most recent time, I enjoyed the short bread sandwich--DELICIOUS horseradish cream. They have GREAT N/A drink options. I love their cheesecake. The service is consistently gracious without ever feeling over-rehearsed. Staff members greet you with genuine warmth, offering thoughtful recommendations and an easy attentiveness that enhances the experience without intruding on it. There's a natural flow to the way they interact--always available when you need them, never hovering--and it reflects a team that clearly takes pride in making guests feel at home. What truly elevates Tria Rittenhouse, though, is its beautiful design. Every detail seems considered: the artful arrangement of tables, the textures of the furnishings, even the way the bar anchors the room with understated elegance. The design strikes a balance between sophistication and approachability, creating a space that feels curated yet never pretentious. It's visually inviting in a way that encourages lingering, whether you're enjoying a glass of wine or simply taking in the surroundings. All together, the warm ambiance, gracious service, and thoughtfully crafted design make Tria Rittenhouse a place that's easy to return to again and again. The tasting menu had three tiers you could choose from- $35, $45, and $55/person. We chose the $55/person option which included the full menu of tapas as well as dessert. They pick the most popular dishes to bring out to the table but also allow you to request any specifically that you'd like. By the end of night, we had a TON of food, even more than we could finish, and ended up trying at least 15 different dishes. All the food was great, with some of my favorites being the eggplant caponata (cold, very flavorful), scallops a la plancha, jamon & manchego croquetas, spiced beef empanadas, and the paellas. Favorite dessert was the chocolate cake, but we were received all the desserts other than the ice cream and sorbet. I may have liked the food experience less if I had ordered off the regular menu and only tried a few small plate, but I loved the option of trying so many dishes. By the time we finished everything, we had been there for over 3 hours (including lots of wine of course), which was really fun! The place gets packed on a Saturday night so we would not have gotten in without a reservation.

The staff were immediately sympathetic, super friendly and helpful. Of course, as if I wasn't embarrassed enough, as soon as the 3 year old washed his hands, he shouted "I'm hungry" (is this sort of human I'm raising?). We were already in a restaurant so why not. Before being seated or looking at the menu, I asked for some fries to be put in and the waitress offered some chicken tenders. After finally looking over the menu, I don't think these are regular offerings so I appreciated them trying to be accommodating to a frazzled parent at dinner time. My vegan mother in law joined us and we were pleased that there were so many options for her. My absolute favourite (such that I had to order another round) was the eggplant caponata - perfectly sweet with a little bit of spice. It was so warm and comforting - exactly what I want at the end of a long cold day. My MIL's fav were the Brussels sprouts - they had a tang reminiscent of buffalo sauce and were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, textured heaven (extra bonus points for the 3 year old absolutely LOVING them - he redeemed himself). If you like hummus, try the spinach and chick pea cazuela. Squash is in season so I knew it was going to be delightful - the pomegranate was a combination that was new to me, but it didn't disappoint. We didn't try the roasted carrots (because my household is all carroted out for the moment) but someone one table over was gushing over them. As a meat eater, I have to say that the non meat tapas were standouts - I tried the empanadas, they were fine; I didn't enjoy the meatballs and I just wanted to order more of the eggplant caponata. All in all, I would definitely come back, maybe for drinks with friends or date night. The drink list looked inviting and nothing says intimacy like mood lighting and shared plates. The price (without alcohol) was very approachable - for $80 a vegan, a 3 year old and a frazzled mom left satiated.
