The absolute best pizza EVER
Daniela G.

Fantastic! My college roommate made the reservation, she lives in Philly and had heard great reviews. The ceaser salad was fantastic. Perfectly seasoned and just the right portion. Pasta with vodka ON PONIT. Topped Delicious with stracesetta on the pasta. Amazing! The pizza with Mortedella was the best of all. Perfect combination of salty and savory. Service was top notch, attentive and friendly. Place was super packed and the service was still great! Definitely need to visit again with my family.

Campanelle Vodka and Dock Street pils were good.

Families beware: This would easily be a 4-5 star review if based on the food alone, but I left feeling a little disappointed that I wasn't warned there aren't refills on the sodas. $4.50 is already a little pricy for a skinny glass of Coke, but that quickly added up to $40.50 after we let our (4) kids each order a second glass after their dinner. Simply warning us would have been appreciated.

Nice ambiance, delicious food, attentive service. The scamorza was fantastic- a little smoky, a little kick, and a whole lot of cheesy goodness with fresh focaccia to sop it all up. I got the malfadine al limone- the pasta was cooked perfectly with just enough chew to it and the anchovy breadcrumbs made the dish. I didn't try the oxtail lasagna, but there was nothing left on the plate, so you know it was good. In fact, everything people around us were eating looked delicious. Entrees were served with more of the focaccia and some seeded bread. The baba au rum for dessert was a perfect end to the meal- the syrupy sweetness was not overwhelming and the cream on top freshened it up. Throughout the meal the server and manager checked on us and glasses were never empty. This spot definitely deserves a visit.

Cape may oysters, calamari, carrots, meatballs, bucatini with fresh bread, pork milanese, ny strip, and the chocolate cake are all fantastic. Cute space with a great vibe. The service was great and wine rec from the manager fit our meal well. I didnt try any pizza but I saw a few come out of the kitchen and they looked very good. Will definitely be returning here!

Chickory Salad

Ambiance is great. Customer service is good. Food is great! Ox Tail Lasagna is a must try! I have never had something like this before, the fusion really worked well. My only complaint is, I can't get enough! I wish the lasagna is a little bit more. But overall, great experience.

Definitely liked the food but a couple of thoughts about it. The meatballs were good but were hard and overcooked ( meatballs are definitely better when cooked in the sauce) that would have helped with them being softer. The bucatini amatriaciana was Smokey and good but appetizer size and the pizza was good. Definitely pricey for the sizes that you get and the wine is $18 a glass which is ridiculously high. Cool interior and nice servers but not probably a place we would go back to due to the prices and the sizes

Chicory salad

I walked in for lunch. The crudo and chicory salad were phenomenal. Loved the service and will definitely return.

Food: 4 Drinks: 5 Service: 4 Value: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Food: Surprisingly good. We shared the chicken quesadilla. It was filled to the filled to the brim and delicious. They cooked it perfectly with the edges getting extra crispy like a tortilla chip. I didn't have high expectations for a place thats primarily a bar, but this blew me away all things considered. Drinks: Best taproom in the city. 20+ premium options. They have an awesome selection of beers, including some local options. They have wine and liquor too, but you should focus on the beer. This is the place to go for a good draught. Service: Servers are friendly and down to earth. They're great at suggesting different beers. Value: Not cheap, but not bad. Beers are $8-10 (pretty much market price in the West Village) and food is a decent bargain given how much food you get. Atmosphere: Its a cross between an old school pub and a sports bar. Its dark and 90% male (my wife always comments on how male heavy it is) but I think it has a good vibe. Good beer, good food options, and friendly servers.

The crowd is pretty young, but as a mid-40s, I don't feel out of place. The bartenders are knowledgable and always helpful in making decisions. Why they didn't get 5-stars: This is actually a 4.5-star place and only gets dinged 1/2 star is that is can be hard to get a table or a spot to be. It's a very small venue, so be prepared to stand around a bit. That's it, great beers, good vibes, still a great spot!!!
