Such a cute coffee shop in the Comcast Technology Center. They offer tables with charging stations as well a lounge area. There are plenty of drink options from simple tea and coffee to boylan soda and pastries. Yes, they have macarons as well--how cute (see pics) I didn't order any but I had to grab pics to show all the goodie goodnesses. Those chocolate chip cookies could have been my night and wakeup snack but I was good and left them there. A picture last longer anyway, right? That's what I have to tell myself when I am resisting. They are in a great space for traffic as patrons come and go in the center. Staff were very accommodating as well. I'd definitely go back to sample some items with them.

Vernick coffee bar is inside of the comcast building. They have plenty of seating and great options to eat and drink. The coffee is good I should have gotten some of their bakery items because they looked SO GOOD. They also seem to offer fun seasonal items like Easter chocolate for the season. The baristas were also so kind and helpful and make a great coffee! Cute place and done right!

Been here a couple times on weekday mornings - they have a small but mighty selection of food and really good coffee. My husband and I got the roasted eggplant sandwich with goat cheese and mozzarella and a caramel latte to share. The latte was perfection! So creamy and delicious with almond milk substituted. The sandwich was also really tasty, with savory eggplant, tangy cheese, and hearty bread. We actually wanted the miso soup but unfortunately learned that it's made with fish as one of the ingredients. I came here again with a colleague and enjoyed coffee and the sandwich for lunch. Definitely recommend a visit for their seasonal coffees and a yummy, light lunch on a weekday if you can swing it.

I'd been here for coffee to go many times (yay coffee punch cards) but I didn't know about the sit down food service until this week when I went to lunch with friends. The ambiance is so nice with the big open atrium spacing but it's tucked away in the corner so it also has a cozy feel. I got the butternut squash soup and the roasted Caesar salad - both of which were really delicious!!

I have overlooked many places in my time as a Philadelphian but none so egregious as my overlooking of Vernick Coffee Bar. Hello remote workers? I've found you paradise! As someone who spends her work days inside her home with only her dog for company, stepping inside the Comcast building and pretending to be a corporate hottie going up the escalator to work was...so fun. I had a meeting nearby and was planning to hit Pilates in the afternoon, so Vernick provided the perfect getaway to send some emails and get some work done in between. Enter the Comcast lobby on 18th between Arch and Cuthbert. The security staff here is SO amazing and friendly, so ask them if you need help with anything. Simply walk straight ahead to the escalator and the coffee bar will be immediately to your right on the next floor. There's a couch area, communal tables, a bar, and tables at the back as well. Plenty of spots to post up! I was immediately gobsmacked by the pastry case. Beautiful breads, croissants, scones, cookies, and more. Since I was on the hunt for something satiating, I went for the overnight oats that were in the fridge area. This might be the most delicious breakfast I've had in Philadelphia, and I wish I was kidding. I have been day dreaming of these overnight oats and the granola they use for DAYS! Loaded with apples, berries, nuts, and seriously the best granola I've ever tasted. The coffee drinks all looked and smelled amazing and I will be going here for every remote meeting I have moving forward. Thanks for a great experience!

This little cafe is hidden away on the second floor of the Comcast Technology Center. It has a counter for take away and also seating with table service. It overlooks the first floor of the Comcast center. It's peaceful with a lot of greenery. We did take away and sat at the seating area. We put in our order and one of the servers brought it to our table the staff were very nice Split pea soup was delicious. The toaster bread was also good. The bread had an additional charge the chocolate chip cookie lives up to the hype. My friend had the yogurt parfait, which was also very good. The croissant had a nice crisp outside and a flaky inside. It's a nice place to stop for a morning cup of coffee or tea and pastry or for a quick lunch

Great place to take a break. It's on the mezzanine of Comcast Tower 2. Very nice atmosphere, verything is yummy, and the service is great! Highly recommend!

I had a standard latte and the coffee cake slice. The latte was spectacular; hot, espresso-forward, and with beautiful latte art. The cake slice was meh (just okay, probably not super fresh). This coffee shop is inside the comcast building and is perfect for folks who work there. There was plenty of seating options (high chairs with tables, lounge chairs, and more). And the staff were super friendly -- despite it being a hectic time, they were very patient. I'd recommend picking up a cup of joe, if you're in the area. P.S. Finding Vernick was a bit of challenge for me because I entered the building from the westside on 19th & Arch -- it would have been much easier if I had entered on 18th & Arch and took the escalators up.

This raspberry pound cake was delicious! Love the vibes of this coffee shop right inside the comcast building.

    In love with the pastries.

Huge fan of this place! I happened to be staging a block away from this and so glad I ventured up the escalators of the newer comcast tower to this coffee shop. It's busy with people grabbing their morning coffee and pastries and also officially attached to the four seasons. Pretty sure you could charge it back to your room since it was on the receipt. It's totally open to the public. Their coffee was great and yes they carry soy!!! I ordered a vanilla soy latte plus an amazing lemon scone. I wish I came back to try their jelly scones. I also ordered a chia yogurt which was great too. It got too rich for me to finish it all but def worth it. I can't wait to go back. The space is open with plenty of seating. Beautiful setup.

5 years later and Vernick Coffee Bar's still going strong: though the new Miso Mushroom soup isn't quite as good as their Spicy Miso, the Wild Mushroom & Avocado Grain Bowl with vegan green goddess dressing was exactly as good as I remembered it to be! The dining space is still light and beautiful and service is still impeccable. P.S. Definitely try the carrot-cake-pie if you're a fan of (raisin-less) carrot cake with cream-cheese frosting and a graham-cracker crust!

1st time back since they reopened. SOOO happy to have Vernick back in my life! Food & service were fabulous, just as I remembered. I can't remember the kind of soup I had, it was a creamy bisque. Carrot? Squash? I don't remember. But I ordered a cup & wish it was a bowl. yum!

We have eaten at the high tops, in the main dining room, and at the tables extending into The Harper lobby, and each area feels like part of the same unified experience. The colors and lighting inside are especially warm and inviting, giving the room a glow that feels cozy and uplifting, especially during a Philadelphia winter. Food remains at the center of the experience, and my order is always the Jerusalem bagel with egg and cheese. On the rare occasions when turkey bacon appears, I add it as a welcome delicacy and a little extra sustenance, though the bagel is already delicious on its own. The cinnamon sugar kubaneh, the chocolate chip cookie, and the Bloody Mary are excellent. K'Far has also expanded its selection of bowls and salads since we ate here most regularly, and they look consistent with the quality of everything else. These days, a full breakfast here does not always fit within our budget, but I still make a point of stopping in for OX Coffee, which is delicious and, happily, roasted in Philadelphia. The Yemenite latte is another distinctive pleasure, aromatic and satisfying without feeling like a novelty created merely for attention. The staff is consistently charming, welcoming, and composed, and the team's continuity and energy suggest that people genuinely enjoy working here. When our budget allows, I will absolutely return to eat. Perhaps the clearest expression of K'Far's brilliance arrives in one memory from a cold, radiantly sunny Saturday, when "Inspector Norse" by the Norwegian producer Todd Terje comes through the speakers as the restaurant buzzes around us. The track, the worldly crowd, and the aroma from the kitchen create the elusive feeling Steve Cook and Mike Solomonov understand so well: people go out to eat because they want to feel seen and be briefly transported into a more vivid version of life. I already love K'Far and The Hoxton as separate brands, so seeing them come together at The Hoxton in Williamsburg feels like an unusually natural and exciting partnership. Creating this kind of social magnetism inside a bakery and café is a subtle achievement, and Philadelphia is richer for having a place with this much flavor, warmth, and personality.

The space itself is huge and very clean, with plenty of tables and seating, so it was easy for everyone to spread out, settle in, and enjoy themselves without feeling packed in. A major point in its favour is the setup for watching sports. They have a massive wall of TV screens, plus more TVs throughout the space, which made it very easy to keep up with multiple games at once. No awkward craning for a view, no fighting for the one good seat, just a very solid setup for a group outing. Luckily, we found street parking right next to the restaurant, which was a nice surprise. When we arrived, the wait for a table of three was about 45 minutes. That's somewhat expected for a popular brunch spot on a weekend. Once seated, the service was prompt. Our waiter stopped by quickly with waters and took good care of us throughout the meal. I ordered the House Angus Burger with sweet potato fries. It was solid, flavorful, and definitely filling. My friend got the Bella Vista Omelet with home fries, and we both agreed that while the food was good, it felt like standard brunch fare rather than anything particularly memorable. Based on the long wait and the hype surrounding Sabrina's, I think we were expecting the food to really stand out. In my opinion, the dishes we tried were comparable to what you'd find at a quality chain brunch spot like First Watch. That's not necessarily a bad thing, the food was satisfying, but it didn't quite justify the lengthy wait. That said, the menu has plenty of more unique and creative options that we didn't try. I'd be open to coming back and ordering one of those specialty dishes next time. Overall, I left satisfied with the meal and service.

The Love is better. The space is beautiful, the service is consistently warm, and Stephen Starr's fingerprints are all over it. I love the painted white brick, the floral artwork along the walls, the street-level energy, and the outdoor seating. I also remember taking the elevator upstairs once. I can't remember whether we actually stayed and ate up there or asked to move back downstairs, but the space was charming and extremely private. It would be a great setting for a group dinner or event. Personally, I prefer downstairs. It's darker, livelier, and I like being at street level. The menu historically leaned more heavily into elevated Southern comfort food, which has never been my favorite style of cooking. That's probably why I've tended to prefer The Love for lunch over dinner, especially when Philadelphia has so many Starr restaurants competing for the same night out. I used to get what I remember as a salmon and farro bowl, although the menu appears to have evolved since then. Whatever the exact iteration was, I loved it. Fish and farro are both right in my wheelhouse. I've also enjoyed the kale salad and other lighter dishes. The thing I remember most vividly, though, is the cornbread. It is outrageously good and reason enough to order something for the table. I also give Starr credit for continuing to broaden the range of food styles in his portfolio. Once you've built restaurants across Italian, French, Mexican, English, steakhouses, seafood, and the rest, there are only so many obvious boxes left to check. The Love feels like its own lane: distinctly American, approachable, comfort-driven, and still polished enough to feel like a Starr restaurant. Looking at the menu now, it seems broader than I remember, with more options that appeal to me, and I'd be psyched to go back. The Love probably isn't the first Starr restaurant I'd choose purely based on cuisine, but that says more about the depth of his Philadelphia portfolio than it does about this restaurant. The room, hospitality, location, and execution are all excellent. I'd happily come here any day. Starr doesn't miss.
