The cafe is clean, bright, and well-maintained. You can order with one of the friendly employees at the counter or through a touch-screen. There's plenty of seating at both a counter and inside and outside tables. I ordered an iced Nutella latte and the Dubai Chocolate Waffle. My order was ready quickly, and the waffle looked both pretty and delicious on the plate. And it tasted just as good as it looked! The waffle was cooked perfectly, and there was a generous amount of the toppings, so you got all the flavors in each bite. The Nutella latte also tasted great, and had an extra swirl of Nutella inside the cup. I'll definitely be back again to try more of their menu items!

Everything tasted great; in fact, it was some of the best New England Clam Chowder I've ever had... and, we've just come from Boston! My compliments to the chef. The only downside is the pricing; and, fairly spartan decor. You have to bus your own tables; and, serve yourself too, so it's much more a cafeteria then a cafe. Service was mild, staff was on their phones and prices were high. On the bright side, at least the canned soda tasted good and the atmosphere was pretty nice. Frida's in Old City Philadelphia -- Restaurant Pros…read moreFrida's is a wonderful little find in Old City Philadelphia. The location is excellent--just a couple of blocks from Independence Hall, making it a perfect place to stop for breakfast, brunch, coffee, or something freshly baked while exploring the historic area. Everything we ordered was freshly made, delicious, and served with care. We tried the Quiche Lorraine, which had an exceptionally flaky, buttery crust and was served with a small fresh salad. The dressing was excellent too. We also tried the baker's basket, including the croissants and scones. They had a slightly different recipe and flavor than we were accustomed to, but they were absolutely delicious and clearly made with care. The homemade jam was another standout--it was so good that I would recommend taking some home if you have the opportunity. The American omelet was also freshly prepared and brought to the table hot. We also enjoyed a freshly made cappuccino and black coffee. My son ordered the chorizo, and he said it was the best chorizo he has ever tasted anywhere. It was truly delicious! The customer service was excellent. The waitstaff were friendly, attentive, and helpful without being intrusive. Frida's has a charming, cozy, boutique-like atmosphere that combines a restaurant, coffee shop, and bakery. Pricing was average, about $20-30 per person. Cons: Honestly, we couldn't find any! However, the restroom could have been cleaner I highly recommend Frida's to anyone visiting Old City Philadelphia. The freshness and quality of the food really stood out, and you can tell that the baked goods and other dishes are prepared with care. It's a charming place in a fantastic location, and definitely worth a visit while exploring Philadelphia's historic district.

such a great little vietnamese cafe with amazing drinks!…read more i've had this cafe saved on my want-to-go list forever, and am so happy to have finally been able to go! i've been super into vietnamese iced coffee lately thanks to the sea market, and omg this place did not disappoint. i had the drippy because i wanted the original + a little more, and it was delicious! strong coffee but not too bitter, and the salt foam was a welcome addition. i came by when it was super hot (100+ degrees out) so this drink was the ideal way to cool down. i do feel that the store's AC was struggling to keep up, the cafe was a little warm to sit and chat. there's limited seating, but enough for a few groups. i was able to grab a table without many issues. definitely want to come by again, just wish it was closer to me!

The drinks range from $6 to 8, which is within the average for coffees, teas and lattes now. I opted for the 16oz original viet coffee and added salt cold foam (0.50 upcharge) They also have limited drinks such as the pandan coffee and matcha and banhi mi sandwiches. The ice to liquid ratio was ideal- the small ice kept my drink cold while I walking around Chinatown and didn't dilute the coffee. The cold foam had the perfect amount of salt and the coffee was bold and smooth. Lastly, foam also didn't degrade into my coffee after minutes! I hope I'm able to sleep later, hehe. If you are in need of pick me, drop in and stay drippy!

From reading other reviews and after being here there is never anyone onsite and they don't mind renting out rooms at full price with no resources. The room rental is for two people and there is only 1 wash cloth, 1 robe and no hand towels. The AC is set to 68 but the actual temp is 75 and is not able to actually keep the room any cooler. Unfortunately the nice finishes don't make up for the downfalls. I wish this boutique hotel showed up better for its customers.

I was admitted to the nearest emergency room because I took a shower at this hotel and used the shower and its door normally. I was cut along my left wrist and forearm and on my right foot. Two of my toes and my wrist and arm are still recovering from this injury nearly a full month after this incident. At least one medical professional told me that I could have been at risk of bleeding out (dying) if the situation was slightly worse. And who knows if this hotel uses the same model shower door for more than just one of their rooms? The hotel's management did not call me to ensure my safety, apologize for the horror that they have put me through, or do their utmost to ensure that I am compensated for the horror that I was forced to experience at their establishment and it's been nearly a full calendar month since the incident with no successful proactive contact from them. Other than this horrifying experience which can likely happen to any of their other guests who decide to shower in their establishments the experience was beautiful. Very nice hotel room. Very dangerous shower. So if you are okay with risking your life and health every time you use their shower or don't plan on showering at their establishment at all, this is a great hotel for you to stay at.

They do charge a $7 fee to use them however. This was not communicated btw. Totally understandable for the charge, just it felt this was the theme of the visit. Poor managment/communication it would seem. When sat, there was no napkins. No silverware. No salt n pepper shakers. No ketchup. And it never came even after the food except the fork shoved in my salad. I had my son ask the bartender for a stack of napkins. It was odd.  This place is vegetarian. Totally fine but everything we tried to order, they were out of. No pizza (though the sign they had on the sidewalk said PIZZA). No black beans (which was on most of the dishes) or jalapeños. I asked for the faux chix sandwich...nope. Out of that too. Note the server did tell us the kitchen had a small spoonful left of black beans and divided it between my two sons...still was charged full price for the meal.  Finally, I was able order a Greek salad that came out with just lettuce leaves, a tablespoon of diced tomatoes, dusting of feta, and two peppers. I asked for the rest of the ingredients listed on the menu to which they were brought out. Not sure why they weren't on the salad to start. I had one small piece of lettuce on my beyond burger which was supposed to come with lettuce onion and tomatoes. The fries were wet.  All in all, dont come hungry to this place. Food was mid at best. Looks like a full bar and so many great games to play, but to say this is an eatery is a stretch. I feel badly for the server having to be the liaison between guests and a poor kitchen and management staff. Gentleman downstairs, Justin, was very sweet and informative on how the arcade worked. We sat down and ordered some food. It took a long time to come out, and at first I only got half of my order. I was done with the first dish before being told the second plate was no longer available and they were now closing the kitchen anyway. The waiter offered a "free dessert or cocktail." I chose the cocktail. To my surprise when the check came, they rang me up for the food I never got. So the drink wasn't free after all. I wouldn't have ordered a cocktail or dessert. I would have preferred to just... not have the item I wanted but I felt forced to pay. I really didn't like that at all. The games are cool and it's a vast selection however one of the games we played had broken pieces so it's a good thing we didn't have a full party. The food and drinks I had were good.
