Drip is SO good. I really only get it when I'm leaving the city since it's sorta on my way out. Everytime I get it, it's so great. Usually I'll order ahead on DoorDash and they have the most perfect carrying bags which are so helpful. I almost always get the banana flavor and its so great. Just sweet enough but not too overpowering. The staff in there is always so friendly, even when they've got a full house. read more

Was really craving some strong Viet coffee and Drip coffee delivered! Not only was it super hot this past week in Philly, the humidity was crazy. The Pandan Latte (pandan milk + viet coffee + coconut cold foam) really helped to refresh and caffeinate me. It wasn't too sweet and I could actually taste the flavor of the Pandan which usually gets drowned out by coffee flavors. We also got the Drippy and added grass jelly. I was appreciative that the staff asked if we wanted to replace the coffee jelly that comes with the Drippy or if we wanted it in addition to it. Super grateful that the store was air conditioned during that crazy heat and humidity. We got to enjoy their modern and stylish decor. I really liked the rice hat wall by the couch! read more

I LOVE this place. I'm obsessed with their mystery drink. If you've never been, then their mystery drink is a MUST. I usually get the mystery drink with coffee jelly and it's incredible. I've also tried their coconut matcha and banana latte, both were really good and refreshing! You seriously cannot go wrong with this place, everything is a 10/10! read more

Highly recommend the Pandan Lover - it's not overly sweet and hits the spot on a hot day. Their prices are a bit on the higher side compared to other stores, but there are a lot of interesting options for drinks. The Lychee Dragonfruit Green Tea was refreshing, but I was thrown off by how many chia seeds there were in the drink. read more

Stopped by out of necessity here today in order to take a meeting timed a bit too close to the end of Reading Terminal lunch. This cafe is one of the closer by cafes to the area. In lieu of any other info, I went with basics: Vietnamese iced coffee, original. They got the strong coffee flavor and the excessive sweetness. My gripe with Viet coffee is the strength and the resulting qualms that my stomach gives, but this was pleasantly to taste and stomach today! FWIW wi-fi is good for Zoom, and there's good seating in the three and a half tables available for guests. It's definitely a more youthful spot, with the Sabrina Carpenter playing in the background, but good if you're looking for specifically Vietnamese fixings. Happy to come back if I'm ever in a pinch for a cafe nearby to Reading again! read more

Most people go for the coffee but since I'm not a coffee drinker I went for the seasonal pandan, which had a nice pandan flavor but ended up being far too sweet for me. What a cute cafe! I got the Vietnamese coffee and it was delicious and strong. There was a pretty long wait when I went, but there was an event nearby and it was a weekend so that may be why, not sure how it looks like normally, but drinks came out pretty quickly once we ordered. YES. Where has this been all my life? I got the ube coffee right when they opened. The place was so cozy and cute especially dressed up for Christmas. The ube latte was a bit pricey but oh my goshhhhhhh the flavors is this latte was amazing. It was very strong which I love about viet coffees and the ube latte was also so pretty! I can see the hype about this place. When I'm in the area I def. will come back for another or try something else :) read more

Best coffee shop in Chinatown. I know bold statement. Go with the ube flavored coffee. It's pretty to look at and delicious. The drippy is also good but get the bigger straw for the coffee jelly!! The coffee jelly a little different than the tapioca found in boba and I think it's better in this drink. Service is ok. They get pretty busy so be patient. The place is pink and very well done. Limited seating so not great for big groups. Still highly recommend this place. read more

This Vietnamese coffee shop is a must-try if you're looking for a good pick me up! When I went, it was a lot busier than I expected, but the wait wasn't very long. They do have some seating and tables here, but it isn't much and mostly for grab-and-go. We tried their ube, ube & pandan, and vanilla coffees and they were all delicious. My issue with Vietnamese coffee is that sometimes it's too strong and makes my stomach hurt, however, this was okay!! Moreover, their foams were creamy and full of flavor. Coming from Cali... this is my husbands favorite ube latte! He loves the strong Vietnamese coffee flavor... and the fact you can actually taste the ube! We regularly walk from over a mile away to get drinks here! I have enjoyed their fruit teas! The shop is really cute with about 3 small Tables to work at or chat with friends and a little couch as well! They always seem appropriately staffed with 3-4 workers any time of day that we visit. Sometimes we crave it and get there before they open and loiter by the next business trying to wait five more minutes after they open to not overwhelm them when they open their door read more

Stopped by Drip Vietnamese Café after lunch around 1pm and the place was packed. There was a line to the door as we walked in. It's clearly a popular spot, and for good reason, but be prepared to wait, especially during peak hours. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha, which was beautifully layered and visually appealing. The drink leans more toward the strawberry side -- sweet, fruity, and refreshing. I usually prefer a stronger matcha flavor, but this was still enjoyable. It tasted clean and natural, like it was made with real fruit or fruit jam instead of powders. My friend ordered the Mystery Flavor, which came out a rich purple color. It looked and tasted like ube -- creamy, slightly nutty, and not overly sweet. A fun surprise if you like trying new flavors. The café itself is small with limited seating. It has a cozy, quaint vibe but isn't ideal for dining in when it's busy. Takeout is your best bet. The staff were friendly but clearly overwhelmed with the crowd, so expect a bit of a wait. The vibe here was cute! They decorated their interior to have some Vietnamese vibe while still having a modern look to it. They also had some free stickers with their logo, if people are interested. I thought the logo was interesting because of the way it "drips." We got the Banana Latte and Pandan Lover. Both drinks tasted delicious! I personally liked the Pandan Lover because it tastes like real Pandan and it wasn't too sweet. It did not taste artificial at all. Be aware that there is a 3% fee for using credit card. I haven't tried their other drinks, but the Viet coffee was good, but it was a bit too strong for me. They have other drinks, but was a bit disappointed they did not have any decaf options. The service was fairly standard, employees just doing their job. The interior is nice, but not too large. I think younger people will enjoy the drinks offered here (or people who enjoy sweet drinks). read more

OMG. Granted that I've never had a bad Vietnamese coffee, I thought Drip would just be another great place for me to get my regular fix of the concoction. What I didn't expect was that their "Drippy" actually took that amazing drink to the next level. For those who love coffee-flavored snacks and sweets like me, I love that coffee jelly is a mix-in for the drink. That Salted Foam though. Having it mixed in with the Vietnamese coffee is such a game-changer that I'm definitely going back for more. I haven't tried any of their other drinks, but this might be my one-and-done option. I also love that service here was quick and that there's plenty of nice and comfy looking seatings that are adorned with natural lights from their big windows. I didn't check to see if they offer free wifi, but if so, it'd be a nice spot for those who need to get work done remotely. read more

Really cute little café with delicious and unique Vietnamese coffee flavors--definitely strong, in the best way. The crispy pork bánh mì was really good and paired perfectly with the coffee. We went on a Sunday around 11:30am and there was no line, but by the time we left around 12:30pm, the line was out the door with about 20-30 people waiting. The café itself is small with only about four tables, so I'd recommend going earlier if you want to sit. Overall, totally worth the visit. read more

The drinks were really good here! They have a wide variety of Vietnamese coffee specialties and also teas. I got the matcha coconut which is with coconut water (not milk). It was very flavorful without being overpowering. The Vietnamese coffees were strong as expected. Service is quick and efficient. I stopped by one morning while in town for a conference. I was looking for a coffee shop near the convention center and decided to walk there. Drip was busy, and there is not much place to sit. This was no issue, since I planned on walking somewhere else to grab brunch. The place was clean and well lit, and the noise level was very low. The guy behind the counter was patient while I browsed their menu. I ended up choosing the drippy, and it was so good! I can see why this place was busy. I tried a delicious limited time only orange creamsicle style drink from Drip today! My colleagues were going to get Bahn Mi sandwiches and I asked them to pick this up for me. Orange flavored sparkling water topped with vanilla cream foam. It was creamy and velvety - it would absolutely perk you up on a warm day. I love orange creamsicle flavored anything. This place could be extremely dangerous for me if they were closer. The drippy is strong and bitter but so so good! The foam is the perfect sweetness to take out the slight bitterness of the coffee and it the perfect combo. The wintermelon tea with the grass jelly and foam was such a delight. Tea was light and the grass jelly complimented it so well. The space isn't very large, but very cute. I came at the height of lunch and all tables were taken by people on their computers. Great location, great aesthetic, and wonderful pictures! However, as much as I wanted to enjoy this place, it missed. The coffee was strong, yes as to be expected. The pandan flavor was only mild and masked by the bright color and coffee. As I was waiting for my drink I noticed they have cups just filled with Vietnamese coffee waiting to be filled when customers order. Really enjoyed this spot. Fairly new place I stumbled upon visiting Philly. Coffee a bit expensive but it was great. Would definitely stop by again if I lived in area as an occasional treat. Ube Coffee was great, also tried my friends Pandan Coffee. I've never been to an Asian Coffee shop that was able to make an Ube/Pandan coffee/late where the coffee didn't just overpower the taste. I could seriously taste the Ube still. Ube was definitely better, stronger flavor than Pandam, was able to really taste the Ube in the coffee. Some seating inside. Staff was kind. Hopefully they have some hot drinks available soon for the winter! Would recommend 5/5. read more

I love Drip! They're so unique with their flavors, and everything is so good. I'm also a huge fan of their banh mi. I recently had their banana Thai iced coffee; it wasn't overly sweet and was surprisingly one of my favorites. My only gripe is that their hours are very limited (9-5). Since I work those same hours and it's a bit of a trek, I can never get coffee or a banh mi before or after work. Hoping for a second location near Rittenhouse! read more

A great spot for a morning caffeine fix! I really enjoyed the banana latte which tasted just like banana but it may be too sweet for some people. The ube coffee was delicious and strong. I look forward to trying their food menu next time I stop by. The cafe did have tables and also an area with a couch which was cozy. The decor was also fitting and cute. This little cafe is a great addition to Philly. There aren't too many Vietnamese specialty cafes especially with their latte flavorings they offer at this place. Picked up a drink on the way back from Reading Terminal Market and was definitely morning pick me up i needed. The place itself has limited seating. I feel like this place could do better with interior design to drive in more business. But otherwise service was reasonable. I'm going to be coming back to try their other drinks and maybe some food items. read more

The ube and matcha and popping boba options here are amazing! I have been here many times when in the Chinatown area and there being so many options for boba and coffee shops all around. The fruit teas are also great and there is a flavor for everyone. We love the lavender lychee lemonade as a fan favorite with any sort of boba to fit everyone's palate. The location is perfect, right behind a community playground and before heading into Chinatown. read more

We were visiting Philly for the weekend and wanted to check out a Vietnamese coffee spot while walking around Chinatown. Came across Drip and decided to try it out. I ordered the pandan drip coffee and my wife got the ube. The pandan was excellent--smooth, unique, and just the right amount of sweetness. I'd get that one again and again. The ube, on the other hand, wasn't as strong in flavor, so probably wouldn't go for that one next time. Service was great--super friendly and quick--and the shop itself has a nice vibe, a good spot to hang out for a bit. Overall, really glad we stumbled across this place and would definitely come back for the pandan coffee next time we're in town. read more

The interior had many tsvkes, some large, some smaller. I believe they regularly host events based on the section of the menu where you can order food for a large group. I got the shrimp with sugar cane wrap dish. It was a diy wrap dish. I was slightly disappointed because I thought the shrimp would be cooked with the sugar cane, but was only served sugar cane on the side. The sugar cane tasted kind of weird too... A little sour... The rest of the platter was loaded with mint, perilla leaves, carrot, cucumber, rice noodles, that you can wrap in the rice noodle sheet that comes with hot water to dip in. I also found a piece of plastic in my rice noodles. This is to say, nothing was incredibly mind blowing, but the food felt nourishing and the interior was spacious. Staff were attentive too and filled up my water regularly.

Also tried their spring rolls -- decent, nothing mind-blowing but they got the job done. The space itself is small and casual, very no-frills. Service was fast and friendly though. Not a bad spot, just didn't quite hit the bar I have for pho in philly. I may come back to try their other menu items and see how it compares.

While it was remade in the past, it's frustrating that such a basic request continues to be ignored. Tonight was the final straw. My order was once again made incorrectly, and when I brought it back, instead of correcting the mistake, I was told I was lying. That response was not only unprofessional but incredibly disrespectful. Avoiding pork is not a preference for me--it's a religious requirement. To have that repeatedly disregarded and then dismissed so rudely is unacceptable. I will not be returning. Would give 0 stars if it was an option.

The biggest surprise was the tái (eye-round steak), yet still retaining that pleasantly chewy texture of undercooked beef; the gầu (fat brisket) was thick and crisp, fragrant but not greasy--who would have thought I'd find brisket fat here? This showed the restaurant's precise control over the broth temperature and the thickness of the beef. Almost all phở restaurants claim to offer authentic raw beef or various cuts of beef, but very few can truly make customers feel the difference. The restaurant's decor is simple but spacious and clean; the service is average, but very efficient. Efficiency is essential for phở, otherwise the beef would be overcooked in the hot broth. After all, the essence of a restaurant is food, and for such affordable ones, it's gratifying to see them spend most of their costs on the food itself.

The added tofu was fried and quite good but the portion was quite small...certainly not enough to justify an additional $3.00 cost. My soup also came in a different bowl and appeared to be a smaller potion than my friend's. She ordered the beef tofu and also complained of a bland broth; she said the brisket was well cooked. Sauces - The sauces at the table (Hoisin and Siracha) seemed to be water down, which is bad enough. But they also seemed a bit rancid and had a strange after taste. Lovely owners. Nice ambiance.
