A gem of an Italian cafe right in Northern Liberties. Great coffee and excellent breakfast sandwiches! Came here on a Saturday brunch and ordered some of their signature breakfast sandwiches, espressos and pastries. I ordered the Americana which is a bacon, egg and cheese with roasted red pepper and creamy tomato spread. To tie all of the yummy flavors together, I added avocado. And by my first bite, I knew this was my new favorite breakfast sandwich in the city. My cappuccino was the perfect pairing to their soft Maritozzo bun that was generously filled with a decadent cream filling. By the end of the meal, I was already thinking about which of their pastries I wanted to try next, so we ended up bringing some home. My eye caught my favorite dessert, Tiramisu, and I was sold on their large slice of homemade Tiramisu which was super tasty and a bang for my buck. Although the cafe is a smaller space, they offer plenty of seating (which we didn't have any trouble scoring), as well as outside seating during the warmer months. The staff was attentive and helpful in picking out some sweet treats. I wish I lived closer, because this would definitely be my go-to cafe. Can't wait for my next visit!
Such a cute and charming spot in northern liberties. I thought prices were a tad bit high for the drinks, but it was delicious that I would still come back. Indoor/outdoor seating, friendly service with an authentic feel. We ordered an iced coffee and italiana breakfast sandwich on a multigrain toast. I've never had a breakfast sandwich with prosciutto and/or balsamic. It tasted extremely fresh and was very tasty. There were people all around me eating crepes so I will be back to try that. Highly recommend this cute shop!
I started coming here when I was in undergrad and to this day it is still one of my FAVORITE cafes in Philly. It has everything you need good food, desserts, and coffee. Every time I go I HAVE to get the tiramisu, like I absolutely have to. It is so delicious and they give a decent sized piece as well. I truly love their paninis and I think I've tried all of them at this point lol.
Great place to grab a coffee, some food, or their plentiful options of pastries. Let me explain. Dolce & Caffe is a nice vibe in Northern Liberties and is a relaxing spot to grab fresh coffee or a cannoli. I decided to finish up a book I was reading here, as it was quiet enough to do so and their food was made fresh from the kitchen. With plenty of options for food and drinks, I didn't like the cannoli as it was cold and was a bit old, but I'm sure their other options would have been decent options. Solid place for sure!
Delicious!! Highly recommend you stop by for lunch and/or coffee! The paninis are tasty and definitely fill you up. We got the Roma & Parma. We also got dessert with our cappuccinos afterwards. Amazing!!! Good spot and good portions. We sat inside.
Was in Northern Liberties at around 4pm, waiting to kill some time before heading to an appointment and decided to stop by Dolce & Caffé. I was a little disappointed that the kitchen was closed already by that time! (I'm reserving my 5 stars because I would like to try their kitchen prepped food.) The only things they had available were their pastries and desserts. I decided to have a little snack and ordered a hot caramel macchiato and a mini chocolate dipped cannoli. The barista was so nice and she told me she tried to not give me so much foam. :) I love cannolis and the filling was delicious. The shell was a little too crunchy for my preference but it was still good and I recommend it! Overall, a pleasant experience here. The cafe was small, but clean (even the bathroom!). I was tempted to get the tiramisu because that is my favorite dessert, but I will have to come back again and try it! Grazie, Dolce & Caffé! Keep up the good work~
There is a reason why everyone give this cafe 5star rating, coz it deserves it :)....a true gem in Nothern Liberties. We were here on Saturday morning for brunch. Ordered their breakfast crepe and California crepe. I loved my breakfast crepe, perfectly sweet and savory. But when I tasted California crepe, it just blew my mind. Their pesto sauce was amazing. And the entire crepe tastes so good. Well if that's not enough then try their macchiato coffee. Super delicious. It's a small cafe and has a hip ambience. They have music playing in the background and wifi. The staff is friendly and courteous. Looked like a women-run business. All were very nice and helpful. They also have an amazing selection of Italian desserts. That's gonna be my next try. Highly recommend this cafe .....

The Pacifico Crepe is one of the most delicious and satisfying foods I have consumed recently. Food is meant to satiate and sarisfy and the Pacifico does that. This is the second time I have gone to Dolce and I will defintiely be back. The folks who work there provide fantastic service and the cafe is very well designed. I haven5had a chance to sit and enjoy my food there but I defintiely plan to do so in the future. They have great artwork that makes the place so inviting! read more
A very cozy morning spot that I would return to. I ordered the, 'liberta del nord' and it was amazing 10/10. The veggie freshness, sandwich design and flavor were perfect for an early morning sandwich. I wasn't a big fan of the drink due to me not reading. I saw peach and jumped, but the black tea would've made me not get it. Excellent customer service and ambiance. read more
Cute little coffee place! I got a dirty chai latte which is like a chai latte but a shot of expresso. I thought it had great flavors or chai and the kick I needed in the morning. To go I grabbed a ham and cheese croissant it was pretty good as well. I just wished it was warmed up and then it would be super good! read more

YAY!! One of my favorite coffee spots! The flavor is banging, the service is great, and the vibe is so hip and fun. The drinks are handmade to order, and my go-to is an Iced Dirty Chai. The baristas are precise in their craft, and it shows in the quality of their drinks. In addition to banging coffee, espresso, and cold brew, the pastries, cookies, cakes and gelato are drool-worthy. It's a bright and airy neighborhood café, and totally a place I would hang on a rainy day. When the weather's right, there's sidewalk tables for enjoying your drink in the sun. They're also doggy friendly! Big plus. Love this spot. There's lots of good coffee in Fishtown and NoLibs, but Dolce & Caffe can hang. read more

My absolute favorite cafe in all of Philly! I even make sure any hotel/airbnb I choose is close to this place. First, the menu is great with a lot of fun coffee drinks that you won't find in a typical cafe. Nutella lates and Creme Brulees lattes and a whole bunch of other stuff. For hot chocolates, you pick the chocolate and they melt it in front of you. The food is great too, and we buy a whole a bunch of pastries to go when we can. Their crepes are tasty and I haven't tried their paninis yet. Pre-Covid, they had really good hours too. Perfect late night spot to get coffee in the area On top of all of that, the staff was ALWAYS nice to me. They seem to know a lot of locals by their first names, so seems to be a nice neighborhood gem! read more

Paid $15 for a crepe that was rock hard. It hurt my jaw to chew this crepe. I guess maybe they had the crepe premade and then just put the Nutella and berries on top when I ordered. I was really hungry and that crepe ruined my day read more
Delicious panini, salads and gelato. This place rarely fails to please. The prices are on par for a fancy-ish cafe, if that makes any sense! Tiramisu is also a major highlight. The only disappointment so far was a stale piece of poundcake. But I can highly recommend this spot without reservation. read more

Wow! Best coffee shop I've been to! The coffee is great, so flavorful but not bitter at all. The avocado toast was great, tons of avocado. The balsamic was great and the whole wheat bread was so flavorful. The dessert case was full of gorgeous looking desserts and another patron in the cafe raved about them. Would recommend for sure! read more
I was running errands nearby and saw this really cute cafe in Northern Liberties. Since I was a bit ahead of schedule, I decided to stop by for a quick afternoon pick-me-up. I'm usually not a big fan of cannoli but after reading someone's raving review about their cannoli, I decided to give it a try- and I'm glad I did. The cannoli shell was crispy and the fillings were sweet and creamy. Hands down one of the best cannoli I've ever had! Will be back if I'm in the area again! read more
While visiting my hometown for some exceptional cuisine we encountered an Espresso cafe that really surprised us with delicous food and wonderful coffee! We ordered a Torino Panini , a Breakfast Crepe, an Egg & Spinach with Cheese on an English Muffin, and wonderful Avocado toast with Prosciutto that made my tastebuds sing!!!! The food was authentically good and they offered Italian desserts as well like Tiramisu, Cannoli, and a wonderful selection of espresso drinks. The food was so good I went back the morning I left to take some desserts home with me and the wonderful Avocado Toast! The service was wonderful as well! read more

I loved walking into here and seeing a group of old Italian men conversing by the door....a sign of legitimacy for the cafe? Looks like they brew Lavazza Nutella latte is perfection. Not overly sweet. No complaints about my mini cannoli. Very well presented. Plain croissant: delightful, with a very, very thin layer of sugar glaze on it. Filled croissants missed the mark for me (in our case, almond and pistachio), the dough was oddly different than the plain croissant. Too..doughy? Lacked the crisp layers. The music was not my taste (main stream hits..seemed unfitting), but it was a nice time. Appreciated the relatively late hours for a coffee shop! read more
LOVED this place! Everything we got tasted amazing! It was all fresh and delicious. A little bit more on the expensive side and I also didn't love the coffee but the food was so great that i wouldn't give anything less than 5 stars. We got the croissant with eggs- it tasted amazing. We also got the pacific-- it had salmon. Was surprisingly great! And the dessert crepe was of course incredible. My favorite would probably be the croissant. read more

I've only been to three countries in my entire life -- USA, Canada, and Italy (Rome to be exact). Let me tell you, based on the month I spent in Rome, this place made me miss Italy! Firstly, it is really authentic. Both the workers actually speak Italian, and it appears to me to be a family-run establishment, although I'm not positive. The menu had a good selection of genuine Italian content (obviously mixed with American content to appeal to a greater audience in Philadelphia). There is a grand selection of Nutella based items, similar to what is found in Italy! I got the Nutella iced latte, and it was great! It has genuine Nutella in it, not some substitute or off brand version. The woman working the counter was kind and quick, and the selection of drink sizes was good (16oz or 20oz). It is kept clean and the interior is decorated really interestingly. The main giveaway of its authenticity is the fact that it labels itself as an 'espresso bar'. This is found throughout Italy, but scarce in the US. I personally am not the type to order just a shot of espresso, but I would not be surprised if the espresso were authentic, as everything else here is. It could benefit from some music playing, but that definitely isn't a dealbreaker for me. They were pretty busy when I first walked in, but the seating was abundant enough to support all customers. 5 stars, would love to return again and maybe try a pastry of theirs! read more

This place is a real deal - here's why. 1. The people are awesome. They're legit Italian and extremely friendly and courteous. They're happy to explain menu items and suggest things to order. 2. The space is adorable - instant good vibes. It's tiny but it's cute and in a good part of No libs. 3. The food is authentic - they source as much as they can straight from Italy! 4. The food is damn good. The mozzarella bruschetta tasted even better than it looked and it looked quite good. 5. The dessert is killer. The Nutella crepe was perfect, the house made cannolis are decadent, and the gelato straight from Italy is everything you could want and then some. Go here next time you're in the area- you won't regret it! read more

This place is amazing, a hidden gem in Philadelphia for excellent pastries, coffee, and lunch items. I recommend coming here if you want to catch up with friends over coffee, have a nice lunch by yourself or with friends, and just experience a really nice vibe. The shop is clean and very inviting, and the overall feel of the place is positive. I recommend trying their desserts, especially cheesecake varieties and the cannoli. In addition to the quality of food, the staff is really wonderful and always smiling. Seems like they really like working here and want to make your experience memorable. My family will be visiting from California next month, and I plan on bringing everyone here at least once for coffee and desserts. read more
There's true passion this place emits. Wow, such a beautiful cafe. As the owner noticed me placing my book bag on the floor, he got up from his conversation and offered me an extra seat to place the bag on. I headed to the counter to place an order for a large 16oz coffee. Just as I settled in to the chair, the server brought over the coffee to me. You don't get that kind of service in every cafe, and what's better was the unexpected gesture. I didn't add anything to the coffee before tasting it, and it needed nothing added. The coffee was perfect. Bold flavor, perfect temperature, not bitter, nor sweet. Funny thing is I'm still here finishing some of their cookies, and thinking about getting a second cup of coffee. read more
