Cute little cafe, feels a bit backward in time and you're entering someone's home. They offered to toast the almond croissant which was good but I was a bit disappointed by the macchiato coffee. It was in a super tiny cup, maybe had 3 sips, no flavor, alas, I missed my usual coffee spot.

Solid coffee shop with a good amount of seating for the size of the cafe. It is quite dark in there which is nice if you're looking for something with more cozy/comfy vibes. I got their "cinnamon roll" when I was studying there, but found out it was actually a cinnamon croissant with raisins in it. The croissant was pretty flakey and buttery.

Time & Peace Cafe is a cozy cafe and art gallery in the heart of Philly featuring soft lights, art, music, books, and board games. The ambiance is seriously serene; it's hard to imagine that a place like this exists amid today's hustle and bustle. We stopped by on a rainy Saturday morning for coffee and tried their Iced Honey Cinnamon Latte and Iced Walnut Cappuccino. Both were fantastic-- the Honey Cinnamon Latte was sweet, smooth, and creamy, while the Walnut Cappuccino was rich and fragrant with finely chopped walnuts. The staff were very sweet and meticulous too. My partner and I ordered large and regular-sized drinks, respectively, and the barista kindly let us know that both would be served in the same-sized cups, with the large filled to the rim and the regular filled to the line. **20% off your order if you check in on Yelp!

Love the ambiance and watching them make the drink right there in front of you. Service is great and although not pictured, their pastries hit the spot too:

Great cafe with great coffee. I like the space too. It's kind of rustic yet cozy. I also loved the fact that you can come here and swap books. Great place for a book date or even to simply hang out. I cant wait to make my way back here!

Walk to fast and you'll miss it, but in this very homely coffee house with low lighting and books covering the walls, there's some fantastic coffee and food! Service - super nice and on top of everything! Coffee - delicious and unique flavors within the drinks. It took a little bit of time, but was definitely well worth it. Food - While I wasn't a huge fan of my bagel, the pastries were very good (cheese danish and cinnamon roll) Definitely a try among all of the coffee houses around. It is something unique and also quiet. If you are looking for more of a relaxing and subtle shop, this is the way to go!

We found this place on Yelp and decided to stop by. This coffee shop is downtown in the middle of everything. It's a small little coffee shop with dim lighting. As soon as you walk in there's the menu and you order the drink. Behind there it's the tables. There's books and board games. The girls who were working were helpful and patient with us. I ordered a latte. It was good and service was good. Overall good experience!

This is a really cozy cafe with a dimly lit interior and quiet music. I like the interior decor with bookshelves. It's a good place to get work done and enjoy one of their drinks. I always get the walnut maple latte which is delicious. Lining the rim with walnuts is a really nice touch and elevates the drink! I've also tried the salted caramel latte which is a delicious drink as well.

My favorite cafe in Philly! I'm in love with the ambiance here- dim lighting with yellow lamps, bookshelves, paintings, dark wood, Bill Evans in the background. The workers here are also always so kind. The drinks here are also high quality and rich in taste. I've had the walnut cappuccino and regular cappuccino, both of which have foam that matches the smoothness of velvet. Their iced coffee definitely tastes like a darker roast, so it makes for a refreshing pick on a hot day! I feel like there's a lot of attention to detail poured into in each drink they make which is so rare and appreciated. Time & Peace makes for the perfect place to spend a cozy Sunday morning catching up with a friend or alone with a book.

I love a good themed cafe with yummy drinks and peaceful ambience. The background music was not distracting, but calm - almost like a jazz cafe. It isn't a small cafe, but there was only one barista working. There is also a stamp card that is completed after 15 drinks and a Time and Peace coffee sleeve. I got a large hot chai and walnut cappuccino. The chai was delicious - actually had a chai spiced flavor, although it could have been stronger. It was not too sweet or too watered down. There wasn't a strong walnut flavor in the cap, which was good, but to me it was like a regular cappuccino with some toppings. I was reading some reviews and saw how they used to circle the cappuccino cup with nuts, but didn't for us :( I guess next time specify that you are dining in if you want some latte art. The guy also forgot our ham and cheese croissant but we chose to give it 20 minutes just in case he was super backed up on sandwiches. But most people came and went; if they stayed, it was a short stay. The honey and cinnamon latte is very strong on the honey, I could barely taste the cinnamon with the coffee. There are only a few tables and chairs inside. There are a couple of tall tables next to the wall with outlets. I like that there are wall decorations, local artworks, books, and decor. There isn't necessarily a theme, but it is cozy. Sometimes it's louder than usual with people talking, other times it's quiet with people working or studying.

What a gem! I can't believe I just discovered this place! In the heart of the city, is the cutest little cafe with fantastic coffee, croissants and seating for the perfect sit down. The staff and waiter were very friendly and I just can't believe I just now found this place. It's overlooked ! Will definitely be coming back whether it's for a sit down study session, to read a book, or just grab a nice coffee in the city.

Nice addition to the neighborhood. I stopped in on opening day to check it out. Staff were sweet and welcoming. It's a really cozy spot, with warm, dark colors, wood accents, and bookshelves decorating the space. (I really need to remember to take more photos--guess I'll have to go back soon!) They were playing music that created a calm ambience. They've got tables and wifi if you want to enjoy a coffee while working. They use House Cup Coffee (a roaster in Havertown) if you keep track of that sort of thing. They have a few "signature drinks," so I gave that a try for my first visit. I had a walnut cappuccino, something I don't think I've seen elsewhere. It was topped with ground walnuts, which was a nice touch. Going to keep this place in my list of comfortable spots to work remotely or to have a relaxed meetup with friends.

I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

The corned beef was an enticing vibrant pink, tender and juicy, with a perfectly balanced and pure saltiness that accentuated the beef's natural flavor. The scrambled eggs were incredibly smooth and creamy, complemented by the rich, melted cooper sharp cheese. The rye was toasted with butter, giving it a thin, crispy crust and a soft interior--a bit softer than Hershel's East Side Deli's, fragrant but not greasy. Every part was delicious, and the combination was harmonious and delightful. The portion of ingredients was very generous, definitely worth the $14.50 price. The service was a little slow, but the moment you tasted it, you would forgive everything!

If you enjoy the somewhat newer Cooper sharp style that's out there you'll like theirs. The Cooper sharp was gooey, mixed in well with the meat and on the heavier side. The ribeye was thin cut, delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Second visit I went with - The Nad - $15 Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Mike's Hot Honey that came on an unseeded Liscio's roll. The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized. I will certainly stop back for a visit if I'm in the area to try out more of their menu. Thanks guys!
