    Chicken and waffles and sausage
    Andrea H.

Small and cute. Quiet place to have a tasty filling breakfast. The cappuccino and latte were great. The chicken and corn muffin waffle is crispy, boneless thigh meat. The maple gravy on the side is perfect. The side of sausage was full of flavor, hint of spice without being overly salty. The sweet Dutch baby was everything I wanted it to be. It was like a brioche bun and a pancake had a baby. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our waitress was very welcoming. Highly recommend this place and look forward to visiting again.

Small like someone's living room but decent with a bar. Good amount of food choices for breakfast or lunch. Great coffee with free refills. Excellent customer service. There is always a wait when coming here and despite me trying to call ahead no one picks up the phone. Huge bathroom! Clean and stocked. Highly recommend their coffee and apple juice. Good amount of salmon in their omelette, worth the price!

We love doing Brunch and a Flight Attendant friend of our son recommended this restaurant as a must go to for Brunch and it did not disappoint. The food was out of this world. Chicken was tender and breading was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and had the right amount of seasoning. The eggs benedict was so unusual and tasty. The service was impeccable and wait staff came by frequently to check on us. Restaurant has a very trendy vibe and was a great place for Brunch. Only wish they had more outdoor seating as it was a gorgeous day in Philly. This is a Must dine experience if you find yourself in Philly. Would highly recommend

"Wednesday" was my server (Halloween costume) and she took really good care of me. It's a bustling cafe with a bar and a great brunch menu. I had the huevos rancheros, which is served atop a cornbread waffle. Very tasty and great portions. Rival Bros coffee or mimosas if you're interested. I plan on coming back soon :)

Everything was delicious , it is just a little tight in there within the seating. Service was great. Definitely will be returning for lunch next time.

I try to come here as often as I can on the weekends because they have the BEST chicken and waffles that I've had in Philly so far. The only issue is they only serve it as a special on the weekends. They change how they do it every weekend it seems but the end result is a plate full of deliciousness and greatness lol. The first time I came it was basically a Thanksgiving themed chicken and waffles and I died from the joy lol. The service is great just be mindful of the space. They place is small and cozy so if you dont come early you'll be waiting a while for a table. I definitely reccomend.

Lovely ambiance in a cute setting. It feels like you're in someone's kitchen and the scratch food is fresh and tasty. Lovely, kind, prompt service!

I got their pancakes which were pretty good. They got a nice little crisp to them which I like. Their chicken and waffle special is just superb though. Literal thanksgiving on a plate !! So yummy. Gets very busy on weekends though.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Waited about 20-30 minutes for a table. Must get a Dutch baby!! They get your number and text you when your table is ready.

Absolutely looooved this spot and can't wait to go back. We came because of the Dutch Babies on the menu, and then didn't even get them because other things looked so good. They had a special on Challah French Toast that day, so we opted for that instead of a Dutch Baby (but will definitely go back for one in the future) and it was delicious. My favorite of the two dishes we got though was the eggs Benedict - probably one of the best Eggs Bennies I've ever had. The chipped beef and the sauce was just amazing. Service was super friendly and prompt, and the space is very cute. I can't wait to go back!

I finally made my way to The Dutch this week after creating a book mark for this place way back when. I can thank Fox 29's feature, which mentioned the special "Soul Food" dinner for the reminder that I needed to make a dinner reservation ASAP. Unfortunately, I was a little too late for the soul food dinner as the early reservations were sold out. I opted for a Friday evening reservation instead. I was greeted by a friendly young woman upon arriving who advised I could choose my seat. I decided to sit near the window at one of the tall tables. The dining room is a quaint, warm and welcoming. The hostess provided menus with "Happy Hour Specials" and I was OVERJOYED to hear there were two items still available from the soul food dinner. Thus, I decided to try the short rib mac n cheese for my appetizer(still available from the soul food dinner) , the steak frites for my entree and the banana pudding (still available from the soul food dinner) for dessert. I also had the blood orange mojito for my drink. I'm going to skip straight to the food bc that's probably why you are reading this review. Haha. The short rib mac n cheese was incredible!!! The short rib was seasoned and flavorful. It paired perfectly with the mac n cheese. I could taste the smokiness of the short rib in the mac n cheese and I loved it! Next up, the steak frites. Now, this steak rivaled some of the steaks I have enjoyed at the high end steak houses all over. It was a simple skirt steak, but it also was seasoned to perfection. I didn't need to add or subtract a single thing from it. The frites were fresh, hot and nicely done. Now, for dessert. The banana pudding parfait was light and delightful. It was topped off with some sort of butter cookie that I couldn't get enough of. The cream/pudding was fresh, airy and perfect. It wasn't too sweet and I didn't feel overwhelming full after finishing it. I'd like to wrap up this review by saying my Dutch experience was top notch and I can't wait to make my way back to enjoy more dining options.

Gave this spot a try after walking past it a few times. Overall, I was underwhelmed. The fries were soggy and not seasoned. My fried chicken was good but the sandwich was meh. My partner did not like their food much either. It was a cold day and with people coming to add themself to the waitlist, the door was constantly open allowing a frigid draft. The space was crammed and it felt like the emphasis was on turning people over, not promoting a quality experience. Would not recommend.

Came here for light dinner and drinks and sat at the bar. The bartender, Patrick, was awesome! Great conversation and even better drinks! We had espresso martinis and old fashioned. We snacked on a Caesar salad with fries but the drinks stole the show. Very cute intimate place!

The food is healthy, but not in that bland, everything tastes the same way. Every dish has its own personality, and the flavors actually pop. You genuinely feel good eating here. The rice is cooked perfectly, everything is fresh, and you can tell there's real care behind the food. It doesn't feel like you're just grabbing a quick healthy meal. It feels like a completely different dimension of what "healthy" food can be. Both chicken options are incredible and my go to every time. The Jamaican dry rub chicken is on another level, and when you pair it with the Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes, it will take you straight to another galaxy. It's the kind of meal where you pause mid bite just to appreciate it. The sauces are a whole experience on their own. They're healthy, packed with flavor, and they let you try as many as you want, which just adds to the fun. Real Food Eatery is a sleeper and one of the best under the radar spots in the city. The meal includes two sides, and we chose the carrots and broccoli, then added a third side of cauliflower. The lemon tahini chicken was especially delicious. It's not a fancy sit-down restaurant, but the food quality is excellent and the service was exceptional. The menu looks so interesting and everything sounds wonderful. I got the Colonial wrap. First, I hated the cranberry aoili. Fortunately, I only put it on half. I should have tasted it first. But, that was my fault, and I would not be writing this review because of one item. I would just use a different dressing from my refrigerator. What I disliked were the tiny cubes of processed turkey all the same size. Real turkey would be differing sizes. And then I kept feeling pebble like pieces. I was afraid if I bit into them, I would break a tooth. I finally realized they were the bacon. I like my bacon well done and crispy, but... . And this was the better part of my order. The gnocchi lasagna went into my refrigerator for dinner. But, I opened it first and it seemed greasy. When I took it out, the grease had congealed on top. I tried removing it, but that hardly helped. As far as the taste, I could have opened my mouth and poured down salt. There was plenty for two servings. I ate two forkfuls and the second was to see if it was really as bad as I thought. It was. It had so much promise. It brings me no joy to write this. But, I thought my opinion should be known since that is why people read these reviews. The chocolate chip cookie was good

We get to experience items like mozzarella balls, heirloom tomatoes, maple glazed brussel sprouts, jammy tomatoes, and more all for a reasonable price. The salads and bowls are all well thought out combinations, but I like to mix it up a little bit by adding my favorites and subtracting other items. The beautiful thing is the total transparency of the price right on the app. As you build your salad or bowl, your final price is updated continuously. The app is great! To that end, we never had problems with their food. We typically get their Make your own Bowl option. Their Slaw and Potatoes are very distinctive and delicious as base options. We appreciate how their Yeeroh Meats are actually shaved fresh and not some pre-packaged meat or something that isn't shaved, which kind of runs counter to the point. Their hummus is solid as well. The only thing to note is almost all of the veggie toppings aren't necessarily always prepared -- the tomatoes for example are straight up grape tomatoes they throw onto your bowl which could overpower the meal. Still would recommend them as a solid restaurant in the area. What you didn't come here for: - Water: There's no free water option (or at least if there was, I'd be suspect given Philly's reputation) - Restrooms: There is a single occupancy restroom in the rear but... - Accessibility: While it's wheelchair accessible, the path to the restroom gets tight since that hall is where they store their high chairs for kids as well. It could be workable but you'd need some help from someone to move things around for you. - Seating: There is limited seating up front but it's often enough. - Will it fill you up? Yes the serving sides are generous.
