I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! On a recent visit, I was so happy to see the parking area pretty full, and so many patrons inside. This restaurant used to be open for lunch as well as dinner. Sadly. It's now open six days/ week, from 4 to 8, except 4 to 9 on Fridays and Saturdays. COVID-19 did a number on Milano's, as it did on so many other restaurants. One thing that hasn't changed is my 5-star rating. Service is outstanding, portions are Dagwood size, and recipes that have been in the family for generations make any meal a culinary memory. I had my usual chicken marsala w penne. Their cm is rivaled only by my nephew, Joey's. Entrees come w soup or salad. I opted for the Italian clam chowder. Delicious. Not just a pizza joint! When my daughter is back in town, Milano's is a must! We're not far from there and the food is always consistently delicious. Portions are usually large enough for 2! (or leftovers for me!) Whether eating in, or taking out, the service is always good. Ambience is Italian, roomy and clean. First time at Milano's. Sat in the bar area at a high top table. I could see it's a definitely a "local's place." Folks came in and were welcomed by name. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our waitress came and gave us menus and a varied list of specials. After which she took our drink order and left us to ponder what to have. She returned with delicious warm bread and butter. (My weakness!) I was told the pizza is a specialty, so it was decided to have the meat lovers. It came out super hot and gooey with cheese. So hot in fact that I burned myself when I grabbed a slice wth the serving utensil and dropped it upside down on my hand. (Not cool on a date and my own fault.) I guess I need lessons in handling pizza. Nonetheless, the pizza was absolutely delicious. The right amount of cheese and meat. I'm not a fan of red sauce, so I did attempt to grab slices with more toppings, of which there were plenty. I really enjoyed the pizza and the atmosphere. I'll definitely return to try more of their offerings. I took a couple slices of leftover pizza home. I will say, it was very good the next day. Crust crisp and chewy, not soggy at all. Last night my wife and daughter had a great desert they should make this one there signature dessert

We used to love this restaurant for eating in or take out. Very large portions which are delicious BUT people with food allergies beware. Two people in our party ordered chicken Marsala and one told the waitress of their mushroom allergy. Absolutely no mushrooms. Waitress fully understood and repeated it. The food comes out and both chicken Marsala meals have mushrooms. We sent it back and said please don't just pick the mushrooms out and bring it back. It's already been contaminated with the mushrooms. Not even 3 minutes later they come out with a new plate without mushrooms. We specifically asked the manager who brought it out are you sure they didn't just pick the mushrooms out? How could the chicken breast even cook so fast? She assured us it was a completely new fresh meal. Well she was lying bc the person with the allergy skeptically ate the replacement then was violently ill vomiting for the rest of the night which is their allergic reaction to mushrooms. We told them don't rush it we want a fresh plate. Her meal should've been trashed since it was their error their loss, but no they let the customer eat the meal after they picked the mushrooms out. We said please don't do that and don't rush. The person ill was the guest of honor and their first time there. Unfortunately we will never be back. read more

Been to this place a few times and it's been mostly a pleasant experience. The pizza there is fantastic, wish I could order it more often! I also had the meatballs there, they were okay at best. This time I ordered a special, the stuffed pork chops. The waitress was kind and attentive, definitely the kind you'd want handling a bigger group of people. We received and the focaccia was phenomenal, if it were up to me I'd order a pizza on that and call it a day! Anyways our food came out in a timely manner, all of them piping hot. I had my chops with linguine, and it wasn't a completely satisfying experience. They gave 2 pretty big chops and a decent amount of pasta, for the price of $28 I would've expected no less than that. Pork chop was cooked nicely, but the flavor lacked a bit. The stuffing was a bit strange, had like a black-licorice type spice/flavor to it. I don't know how else to explain it, it just wasn't the best in my opinion. The gravy on it was good though, tossed that on my pasta to elevate it a bit. I also tried some other dishes around me like the tortellini chicken Alfredo and teriyaki chicken Alfredo. They both were solid for the most part I'd say. Also tried the chicken Marsala and the chicken was pretty bland, definitely needed more love. All in all it was the food driving the rating down, as they were mostly decent at best. I was very excited to dine here, especially seeing that Milano's had 4 stars, and there were a good number of patrons dining here so that also made me hopeful that we would enjoy our meal. On the whole it was ok, but I guess I was expecting more than just average and I'll explain why it was exactly that. The soup of the day. I feel like the cook or someone in the kitchen should always taste their food before sending it out to customers. The rice in the soup was under cooked, and not by a little, it was immediately noticeable, and personally, my "shrimp and scallop" soup consisted of 2 tiny shrimp, and not even the scallop but that tiny stump you're supposed to shuck away from the shell. Very disappointing. The pizza. This was good pizza, and lifted the spirits of my family and I after the disappointment from the soup. Great crust and plentiful toppings. Initially, the waitress had done a great job and then she brought over the bill and told us there was no hurry to which I replied: "Apparently there is because we wanted to order dessert but if you want us to pay the bill then that's fine." I think she realized her error because she immediately balled up the bill and brought back a dessert menu and apologized. We ordered the Zeppoli's for the table and those were pillowy, and delicious. I loved that they come with two dipping choices either nutella or raspberry sauce. I think that was probably what I enjoyed most out of our entire meal. I also ordered an espresso for myself which was in all honesty awful. It was like either they used an inferior quality coffee or old coffee. My mom had a sip and she just shook her head and pushed it back towards me. If I were to return to Milano's it would probably only be for pizza and Zeppoli's I'm sorry to say, but I do feel like they have great potential and should taste first what they serve out. read more

We came on a Saturday at 5:15pm and we had a 30 minute wait which isn't a problem but just a note that the restaurant is pretty small so I can pretty much always seeing there being a wait. The biggest issue was this place was SO loud. I couldn't believe it. We had to shout across the table to just hear each other. So if you are looking for a nice quiet evening to catch up with people this is not the place. Not complaints on the food. Chicken parm, stuffed shells, lasagna, pasta, bread and pizza were all amazing! A little more sauce than needed on the lasagna but it still tasted good. We have always loved this place and been frequent visitors for 20+ years. Since the son(s) took over however the Milano's of old is gone. I can understand downsizing the menu and small salads and maybe even less fish in the dish. The food we ordered was not the exact description of the menu. Ordered the Milano Best with combos of chicken, eggplant, sausage and meatball. Delivered to the table were two meatballs and two sausages. I didn't observe that the eggplant and chicken were not there until I had already started to eat. I didn't want to make a scene so I kept quiet in front of my wife, as I thought the meatball and sausage were quite tasty, but still not a hint of chicken or eggplant on the plate. The sauce and portion size was appropriate for the price and Milanos does make a great sauce. My wife ordered an Italian Stir fry that was on the menu listed as FRESH VEGETABLES, which were merely frozen, reheated, mixed with sauce and served table-side. Again the Milano pasta sauce made up a majority of taste. The waitress, Karley, was outstanding and served us copious amounts of bread, not even knowing that our orders were sub par. She actually made the experience a good day out. I would rate Milanos pasta sauce as 5 stars, their cooking staff as 2.5 stars and Karley as a 6 Star waitress. read more

Let me just tell you. Get the tortellini alfredo. It is so rich and amazing. The hubs likes to try the specials out, which he always enjoys, although the regular menu items have a lot more to bring home! The lasagna is another of my faves. They have good wines & the atmosphere is cozy & perfect. Seriously I usually get 2 lunches from my leftovers! They have a pretty good pizza if you are looking for a solid takeout pizza in the area, and we would indulge more but they don't deliver. Be careful, the pizza sizes mimic their dinner proportions, large was like a party size in most other places! It is on the more expensive side, and it is always packed full of people so we don't go as often as we would like.
