Great waitstaff! Very attentive. The gluten free pizza with sloppy vegan was ok. The wee carrot cake was good. Great salad!!

This is my first visit to Milano. I had just had some Indian food, but remembered that they offered Gluten Free desserts. So I popped in. I ordered the Eton Mess 'Milano' It is fresh strawberries in a fruit Coulis with vanilla gelato and topped with a berry meringue and fresh mint. I don't eat desserts very often, but I am traveling and I figured when in Ireland..... Milano has plenty of seating inside and there is a huge terrace to the side. It looks like it easily seats over a hundred outside. They have multiple locations and offer several different gluten free options. The dessert is okay. It's very sweet, is mostly gelato, and the coulis is more like a jam. I found the meringue didn't really fit. It looks interesting in writing but would be much better with more strawberries instead. Too many textures competing against each other

Great service, great drinks, and great food. I had the lasagna and it was the best I have ever had. The cheese is creamy and is just full of flavor. As an appetizer my husband and I had the dough balls and even though I wasn't fond of the choice, I was very happy when it came out. It included 3 spreads: pesto, roasted red pepper, and a garlic butter tasting one. I'm a very picky eater and enjoyed all 3.

Am I missing something... What is with the Milano obsession that took over Dublin. Their pizza's are ok, definitely NOT amazing. Having experienced authentic Italian pizza abroad this place just doesn't sing to me. They are big and more than enough to share with someone with the additional of a side or a salad. Also, as a couple dining... I so sometimes question why hosts do what they do, so we are couple who come in midweek for a dinner together, with plenty of tables free they choose to sit us beside a busy table of 5 which included, 2 parents and 3 young children, the kids were noisy and up/down out of their seats every 5 seconds... Is this were a couple want to be seated for a quiet midweek meal, especially given there was plenty other areas to seat us? When we asked to be moved, the waiter wasn't too happy... When he 'struggled' to find us alternative seating we got asked to follow him, we had to grab out drinks, menu and jackets bags within 0.5 seconds as he marched fast away; no notion of a helping hand or at least give us a sec before you expect us to follow you at lightening speed.

A good pizza place. Big enough to accommodate groups of people and easy to walk-in on most days. Nice outdoor seating by the canal side on a sunny day! Their salads are awesome! Loved Bosco salad and Super-food salad. A bit on the expensive side though considering there are other good pizza places. But I would recommend checking deals on http://www.milanooffers.ie beforehand. For sure, it will save you some money! I wish they had these offers on their own website. I mean it isn't that obvious, we were told about it by one of their servers and you could get the deal then and there if you can access internet on your phone.

Milano's, they seem to be everywhere but considering this one is just on my doorstep on Baggot St., it's the one I've visited the most. Anyway, the location is great, especially with some nice seating out by the canal, if its summertime and actually warm out then you can't beat anything as romantic as this. The inside is nice too and the place has a real feeling of class that you'll really appreciate. The staff have always been friendly too and will have a bit of banter with you. So what's the food like? Well we hit a bit of a roadblock here, the food is GOOD, there's no denying that. Last time we ordered a few pizzas as well as an antipasto platter. The platter is nice with a good assortment of meats, olives, cheese etc. The pizzas, although huge, seemed to be really lacking in the toppings department. And as thin as the pizzas were, they just weren't thin enough for my liking, but that really does depend on how much you like dough in your pizzas. You'll come out feeling like it was decent food but just missing a little something-something. We also come to the problem of the prices. Milano's is expensive, there's no other way to say it. The pizzas are usually above the €15 range with starters being between €5-€10. As a person who ate amazing €10 pizza from Skinflint (Temple Bar) in the past 2 weeks, Milano's prices jumped out at me in a bad way. In short: A great place if it's warm out and you want to sit out by the canal, the food will do fine but don't expect it to be cheap.

Stumbled upon this place walking from our hotel. We sat outside on their wonderful patio overlooking the canal. We ordered a glass of rosé and a Jameson, both were yummy! We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer, a mixed salad and the "American Hot" pizza. None of them disappointed! The bruschetta was fresh and delicious! The bread was fresh baked, it was topped with diced tomatoes and the most delish pesto. The salad had mixed greens, tomatoes and cucumbers, and a delicious vinaigrette. The pizza had perfectly thin crust with pepperoni and spicy peppers. We loved everything about our dinner!!

This is the newest opened Milano's to hit Dublin (I think!). I've been here once or twice for lunch with my office and the restaurant itself is nice. The pizza is standard Milano food - the same you get in all the others. It's nice, not out of this world, but does the job. One thing I will say is that if you don't like pizza or the handful of pasta and salad options on the menu, you're kinda screwed. For example, my boss is celiac and was very limited in what he could have. We got around it, but it's not ideal. Also, they don't take reservations, which drives me up the wall, but I guess this particular location is quite big, so chances are you'll get a table. I also really like their outside area too overlooking the canal...that's if the weather is nice of course!

I wouldn't go here especially for the food but if you're meeting a large group for lunch, half of them are smokers and you need a menu where everyone can find something that pleases, Milano would be a good pick. The pizzas are ok and the salads (have had both the Nicoise and chicken caesar) are well portioned, but I would like to see a bit more quality for the price I pay. The real draw of this place is the outside dining area. Plenty of tables, "beautiful" canal-view and a great place to linger on a sunny day. For a after-work bottle in good company, it's one of the nicer hideouts in the city.

The restaurant is on the canal so the outdoor seating would be lovely for summer.

We ordered two glasses of Barbera wine as our cocktail, followed by calamari, pappardelle al funghi and ravioli Asiago. The wine was perfect and complimented our meal. Our server Massimo brought out some bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to start our meal. The calamari was amongst the best I've ever had, the breading was light and crispy. Both our pasta dishes were divine and authentic. At the end of our meal we had some espresso and were given complementary limoncello shots. Il Vicoletto was amongst the best restaurants we visited during our trip to Dublin. I highly recommend for anyone looking to eat great Italian food.

This place shocked me!…read more I found San Lorenzo's via Yelp, so thank you Yelpers! It is one of the few places in Dublin that takes American Express cards. So you can leave home without it when you come here When we asked if they had a table they said only if you are up from the table in an hour. We were hungry so we agreed The environment is dark and tasteful and lively The wine list is not good, but the food and the staff make up for everything The avocado and caprese salad was awesome The shrimp in wine sauce was off the charts delicious The chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto was delicious and the polenta and creamed corn were spectacular The monk fish wrapped in crispy pancetta on a bed of pesto basil was amazing To top it off we had the Nutella cheesecake with Carmel sauce and gelato with biscotti crumbs on top- this was surreal!!! All this and we were done with all the food, a bottle of wine and cappuccinos in an hour and never felt rushed If you are in the mood for Italian food, come to San Lorenzo's

Why I'll go back: wide variety of sauces lets you satisfy any craving…read moreYou HAVE to order: the arancini (how's that for a curveball) Tony's Tip: Given the generous portion size and wide variety of sauces, if you can do a group of 4-6 you'll be able to sample a lot more of the menu. Things I liked about Sprezzatura: - whatever you're in the mood for (marinara, carbonara, bolognese...), it's probably on the menu that night - the sauces are rich/heavy. I like, but maybe not everyone will. - generous portions - super friendly service Things I wasn't crazy about: - the finish on the table left a stickiness that was annoying as we sat through our meal - the kitchen door kept slamming shut (loudly) with every staff pass-through and needs some sort of better hinge or soft close mechanism - each pasta dish was a bit overrun with sauce. I might have soaked it up with some bread, but the amount was unnecessary for the pasta alone. We ordered three pastas dishes. I actually liked the one I didn't order the most - an amatriciana-like red sauce with a little spice. My wife enjoyed the Fettucini, Nduja and Mascarpone. The Mafaldine Cashel Blue (cheese) and Roasted Walnuts, which also had caramelized onions in it, was actually not as sweet as I expected (or wanted) it to be. What we did agree on, though, was how delicious the arancini was (we went with spicy sausage). I would lead with that...but don't get carried away. The wine choices were limited, but solid. And the price was very reasonable. I'd go back again (if I actually lived in Ireland!), mostly when I have a fix for a certain flavor. There was a lot of delivery business taking place during our visit. I suspect these sauces don't travel well (no firsthand experience with that), so dine in seems like the better call to me.
