    Pollo alla Fiorentina!

On a whim while walking by, we stumbled across Cafe Topolis! The service was fantastic; we had a young lady named Francesca, who was outstanding! The food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend coming in for any meal!

Nice romantic atmosphere! Great place to dine in!

Delicious Italian foot for a very good money value. Lunch special Monday to Friday starter and main course with tea or coffee 8.95 euros and early bird starter, main course, glass of wine or soft drink and coffee or tea 14.95 euros. Pizza is very good and crispy as it is made in a wood burning stove and the pasta is delicious as well. It has the most complex menu with over 50 choices of dishes including starters, pizzas, pastas, meats and salat and deserts. The wine is very good and the house wine tends to be the best. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a very good atmosphere. I recommend it to everybody!

Had dinner there the last two nights - while the food was good and quickly brought out, the service was inconsistent. Last night I had excellent service from a warm and friendly waitress. Tonight, I waited almost 15 minutes before anyone came to my table - and just before I was about to get up and leave. The waitress was more businesslike than friendly. One waiter kept bumping into my table as he went by without as much as an "excuse me" or "I'm sorry". Granted, the small restaurant was busy, but I came away with the impression that I didn't matter. Sometimes that's all it takes to ruin a meal out. Contrasting this, the food was very good.

Café Topolis is a real find, located on Parliment street just beside city hall, its great for relaxed dinner or weekend lunch. Also offers great Italian food. The restaurant has an upstairs (street level) and downstairs room. The downstairs room is ideal for parties or functions and the atmosphere isn't quite the same, the night I was at a party there the staff were a little frazzled but I've been back since and there has been a marked improvement. The is food all good, been told the Steak Medallions are fantastic and any time I order a pizza its always delicious. I could eat their garlic bread all day long. The pasta dishes are great too. All reasonably priced and the location can't be faulted.

Carbonara. I added the Parmesan myself its not drugs.

Cafe Topolis is more than just a Cafe. Its a quaint little eatery with beautiful Italian cuisine. Best of all a visit to here wont have the Don's looking to break down your door when you cant afford the cheque - because its very very well priced! At the weekend you can get a 2 course meal from a good selection during the daytime for €13.95 including a coffee - its good coffee too. During the weekdays there is a smaller lunch 2 course special for €8.95. This place is actually a gem. I just got a Carbonara, It was so delicious I accelerated through the whole bowl quicker than a Lamborghini Aventador can dominate the streets of Romes famous Appian Way. At €12 it quashed the V12 Rumble which had begun to bellow from my stomach and quietened it down to the level of conversation one would expect to receive from Michelangelo's David. Cafe Topolis isnt fancy. As much as I managed to mix in a little bit of priceless art and italian supercars into my review this place is quite simply put 'homely'. Its warm and inviting. The kind of place you break bread with friends or get a decent meal in a relaxing backdrop after a hard days shopping. Thats why im giving it 4 stars. This place doesnt need a 5th one to be special, it just is in its own right. I can even forgive the waitress for dropping the parmesan all over the table... because she done it in such a friendly manner. Grazie :-)

Genuine authentic Italian food + low prices = Café Topolis. This place is a little gem in the heart of Temple Bar. I went here for dinner recently and I couldn't believe I had never been here before. Such good value! I got a starter, main and glass of wine for only €12.50...so cheap! The food is delicious, really good Italian stuff. Their pizzas are cooked in their own stone oven, and the arrabiata my friend had was one of the best I've ever had. I'd also recommend the calamari fritti to start. A tip is to go on an empty stomach though as the portions are huge!

    Minute Steak

The resto is cosy and warm. It's convenient not having the need for reservation, their service was slow though I had the weekend special for the starter, main and coffee at €14.50 and I like best the Pomodori Ripieni. Overall, the food was good but could do better.

I'm all for experience and trying things new and Cafe Topolis lured me in with a warm welcome and the wood burning pizza over. The cost of food was expected as with the rest of Dublin and being in a popular area such as Temple Bar it was good value for money. A meal for 4 of us along with 2 starters (which was shared between us all), 4 main meals with 3 side orders, 2 lagers and 2 wines came to €80 (70gbp). The food was well prepared, the pizza which I had was good. The waitress did explain that the pizza would be hot (with chillies) but it wasnt, probably just my expectation for it to be really hot since she made a point of it. Great food, clean place and polite staff. Highly recommended.

We walked over and you can see it was busy and a small restaurant but they luckily had availability and got us a table quickly. Once there we were given break, oil, and vinegar as well as water to enjoy as we looked over our menu. The server recommended a great wine my friend never had and we ordered an appetizer and meal. For the appetizer we ordered: Calamari in crosta and it was honestly one of the best if not best calamari I've had in a long time. It was light, crispy and not oily. Also loved that sauce they paired with it! For the main meal I ordered: Tagliatelle ai frurti de maré e bisque di gamigri Rossi. It was delicious and my friend ordered Tagliatelle al Ragu di cervo Irlandese and she said it was incredible and savored every bite. We didn't order dessert, but would absolutely pop back over when in town. The price was extremely reasonable as well! Lastly the restrooms were clean!

This place shocked me!…read more I found San Lorenzo's via Yelp, so thank you Yelpers! It is one of the few places in Dublin that takes American Express cards. So you can leave home without it when you come here When we asked if they had a table they said only if you are up from the table in an hour. We were hungry so we agreed The environment is dark and tasteful and lively The wine list is not good, but the food and the staff make up for everything The avocado and caprese salad was awesome The shrimp in wine sauce was off the charts delicious The chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto was delicious and the polenta and creamed corn were spectacular The monk fish wrapped in crispy pancetta on a bed of pesto basil was amazing To top it off we had the Nutella cheesecake with Carmel sauce and gelato with biscotti crumbs on top- this was surreal!!! All this and we were done with all the food, a bottle of wine and cappuccinos in an hour and never felt rushed If you are in the mood for Italian food, come to San Lorenzo's

Things I liked about Sprezzatura: - whatever you're in the mood for (marinara, carbonara, bolognese...), it's probably on the menu that night - the sauces are rich/heavy. I like, but maybe not everyone will. - generous portions - super friendly service Things I wasn't crazy about: - the finish on the table left a stickiness that was annoying as we sat through our meal - the kitchen door kept slamming shut (loudly) with every staff pass-through and needs some sort of better hinge or soft close mechanism - each pasta dish was a bit overrun with sauce. I might have soaked it up with some bread, but the amount was unnecessary for the pasta alone. We ordered three pastas dishes. I actually liked the one I didn't order the most - an amatriciana-like red sauce with a little spice. My wife enjoyed the Fettucini, Nduja and Mascarpone. The Mafaldine Cashel Blue (cheese) and Roasted Walnuts, which also had caramelized onions in it, was actually not as sweet as I expected (or wanted) it to be. What we did agree on, though, was how delicious the arancini was (we went with spicy sausage). I would lead with that...but don't get carried away. The wine choices were limited, but solid. And the price was very reasonable. I'd go back again (if I actually lived in Ireland!), mostly when I have a fix for a certain flavor. There was a lot of delivery business taking place during our visit. I suspect these sauces don't travel well (no firsthand experience with that), so dine in seems like the better call to me.
