She almost made me to want to walk out of the salon or never come back to this place. - I told her that I wanted to do an almond shape, French-tip manicure just like my co-worker had. After I showed her a photo on my phone, she began to say "Tay có chị không được thon dài, nên em chỉ có thể làm vậy thôi, chứ không được như vậy" "Em chỉ có thể làm hết sức" For your information, my real nails on that day were pretty long; she just needed to shape them exactly like the photos, which I don't think is a challenge at all for any licensed nail technician like herself. She made me feel ... bad about the looks of my hand. I don't think I need to have long, beautiful, perfect hands in order to deserve her services. Correct? - Then I started to tell her about my experience with a UV light I purchased from Target to use at home. Since they are not a professional UV light for gel nails, for some reason, the machine created an extreme heating experience for me, which is why I need to professional nail services at a salon. She replied: "Ở đây cũng vậy à" Ủa vậy là chị không muốn làm nail cho tôi hả - Chị muốn tôi đừng bao giờ trở lại tiệm nail này vì làm ở đây hay làm ở nhà cũng nóng, cũng đau như nhau hả? Sao làm việc mà toàn bàn ra, chứ không phải "o bế" yêu thương khách hàng vậy? My impression was that she doesn't want me to be there, nor does she want me to come back to get nail services here. I am wondering why. What did I do to deserve this kind of treatment, when I genuinely wanted to have her service and her professionalism, because I cannot do this at home as perfectly as in a salon. I needed the services, but the kind of treatment I received was unpleasant. I was there to relax and treat myself to a good manicure. And ... I want to pay you for the services, just like how you paid the toll road company to drive pleasantly on their toll road systems. Does that make any sense? We pay to receive services; there is nothing wrong with that. Why am I getting such an unwelcoming attitude from a technician who doesn't want to do her job for me? Do I look like a homeless person to her that she felt the need to make negative remarks about the looks of my hands? I am not a hand model; do I need to be a hand model to deserve her service? She got it - I will not return to this nail salon, because I don't think I deserve such negative attitudes when all I needed was a nice beauty treatment for myself. I hope she understands this: Providing services to a Vietnamese person, someone who looks like you and who came from the same hometown as you did, does not make you inferior to anyone else. You provide the service I need, and I will pay you. We all need to make money and spend money to get what we need. I need my boss to pay me so that I can pay her for the services I cannot do myself. If she doesn't feel inferior providing services to a white female lady, why would she feel "uncomfortable" providing service to me? Are we the same kind, the same ethnicity, supposed to feel any "less" than any other ethnicity existing in this country? If you don't support your own kind, who would support you? If you cannot respect your own kind, who would respect you? Regarding the services she provided, it has been 7 days since Sept 13, and my nails have not chipped at all, no matter how many times I have washed my hands. And this is exactly why we need to come to a professional nail salon for treatment. We want durable nail services. Thank you for the remarkable service and skills she provided. However, fix your attitude and understand your importance to avoid hurting your customers' feelings when you could have made their days and yours better.

After he cut me the first time he apologized. When I asked if he could adjust the lines on the art because he attempted it even though he said the other employee was going to come back to do it, he got frustrated and told me to do it myself. Typically in salons if you need a fine line, they'll use a toothpick or something else smaller than the little bottle brush to get the effect. They did not do that. They were clearly talking about me in front of me, which was very unprofessional. I will not be coming back

But I'll always remember one time when Coco and Tweety took me in at the last minute after I had just gotten back into town and gave me one of the best experiences I've ever had at a nail salon. And that wasn't some one-time dealc that's Tuesday at Nail Forum. They are remarkably consistent. They take their time, pay attention to the little details, and genuinely take care of you. As a man who gets his hands and feet done with some regularity, I really couldn't ask for much more. The level of service these ladies provide is something I think you could easily pay considerably more for elsewhere. I've even invited a coworker to get his nails done at this place, and he was equally blown away by their superb work (he lives in the DFW area though, so he can only make it when we have meetings in town; poor guy!). The salon is very clean and it is very quiet, meaning people don't get loud when they are having their nails done, etc. I moved to Austin for a bit and would come back as often as I could for a good mani/pedi. Been going to Kristi's Nails for almost 20 years. After several years my nail tech moved and I wasn't happy but Lisa Vu took me on. In over 15 years, I've never had an infection, a broken nail, or not gotten the exact service I requested. My nails and toes always look immaculate and the prices are the best. About 3 years ago after being 3 minutes from the salon, I moved about 20 minutes away. I had a nice calm experience which is what I needed. The results definitely beats other salons I've been to. I found my new salon and will be coming back!

Tina…read morealways does an amazing job on my nails & Vicky does miracles on my pedicures---love her massage. I get the traditional pedicure but I add on a paraffin wax. For nails, just standard acrylic with shellac but they have numerous options for nails. The salon is clean, peaceful, and the work lasts longer than other shops I've tried. Only had 1 broken nail from this salon in 4-5 years that I have been a customer. They also have a reward program too. If opting in to their reward program, each time you visit and enter your phone number counts towards a discount off future service. After 10 visits, believe it's $10 off service. They also will text you special offers. Highly recommend booking with them!

This was my first time and it will now be my permanent place to have my pampering done. Julia was so attentive and absolutely did a Phenomenal job on my nails. All for 70.00! And Tina was so very helpful! I highly recommend Venus nails. The atmosphere was so relaxing and calm, it was the best decision to try them! they are for keeps.
